Doomsday is going to get short changed in this... its there for name recognition but will probably serve as nothing more than a creature to punch.. damn shame.

I won't be watching this film. The fans are right and the film makers are wrong. We aren't ment to enjoy things anymore.

Yeah, because he is such a complex character otherwise... he is basically DC's Hamlet.

If he is created from Zod there is something they could do with it..
disregard I suppose we are still in the anticipation phase of the film where any criticism is met with swift a swift and conclusive retort.... but I suppose Doomsday will get sufficient exposition...

No, not any criticism, just nonsensical one.

Doomsday was never a character, but a beast and you are criticizing them for using Doomsday as a beast he is and not as a character. See how nonsensical it is?

Let it go Wolfie... It's Chinatown. Someone coming in saying Doomsday is going to be underwritten? Yeah... Best not to take that opinion seriously. It's silly and obtuse in the extreme.

Yeah, good point. I was kinda curious to see where the hell is guy coming from with this, but the only place I can think of wouldn't be polite to mention here.

I'm letting it go.

That's....that's all Doomsday is after his origin story..

Man alive the two guys on the left are cringe worthy sometimes..they think the Doomsday fight is acutally in the middle of the movie? How the hell do they think the movie plays out?

What those guys are saying in that video because is so far from my experience of it and thoughts about it.

I'm expecting Lex and Doomsday to be the tandem 'big bads'--the brains and the brawn respectively. I think the scene we saw of Doomsday is just after he is birthed, and later he will evolve and grow his spikes. So the final battle with him probably occurs later. Snyder should be able to make his pure, raw, savage power come to life, and the final battle with him should be epic.

I expect that Darkseid will be foreshadowed for JL part 2 but will not be the 'big bad' in this film.

The trailer did not reveal too much for me. We know that the the trinity forms in this movie, I was psyched to see the three of them together, and it left me wanting more.

It's alright with me that we know Doomsday is the other big bad. That reveal was needed to show the trinity united shot.

Jesse's Lex is still a big question mark for me in terms of what they're doing with the character. He is sort of maniacal as one of the reviewers said. Whether there will be a more sober side to him remains to be seen, although the photo of him bald does seem to suggest that.

I think people should be happy to know we aren't stuck with just Lex cracking jokes and Batman fighting Superman. We got a physical villain you fools, stop whining about the reveals of the trailer :argh:

I just don't know how to feel about the overwhelming positive reaction to the new Turtles 2 trailer and the negative reaction (from the same people) to the BvS trailer...saddened I guess would be the right word

Doesn't matter, they'll still see the movie opening week like everyone else :o

I don't think either is true though. I've seen lots say that TMNT2 looks really bad, and I've seen lots liking the BVS trailer.

But that's all Doomsday is. A stupid punch monster.

Like in most marvel movies (other than the use of Loki) the villains are just plot devices to help drive the hero's stories. In this case Doomsday is likely just to be a plot device to bring together the heroes. So really do you really need character development for Doomsday? No. But you absolutely need character development for Lex (who is the DC version of Loki).

Some people live in a bubble they think the world is the few websites they visit. Tbh the only negative stuff I've seen about BvS has been on here, everywhere else including various podcasts and just friends I have loved the trailer.

It is also possible that this Doomsday is, in part, a reanimated Zod. Let's say that Lex Frankensteins it using a combination of Zod's DNA code (if not his actual body), fragments of Bertron's DNA code for Doomsday extracted from the scout ship, and/or that blob we've been shown in previous trailers in the ocean that perhaps might have both mineral and organic properties and was hypothetically spawned by the World Engine.

If the creature has some of Zod's DNA (I'm still struck by the scar on his face and a fair physical resemblance in the face between Doomsday and Zod) then perhaps it might have some intelligence and bit of a personality.
