I do like the idea
Joker killed Jason and burnt down Wayne Manor, with Bruce abandoning it for his lake villa. Just like Kingdom Come, where Two-Face and Bane destroyed Wayne Manor and Bruce became Batman full time, leaving the Manor in its decayed condition, and rarely leaving the cave.

I really do love this as well. And that also means that Joker
knows who Bats is!

Indeed. They could either do the New 52 concept we see in Endgame, or simply where Joker chooses to ignore the truth even though he's aware of it.

And it's pretty obvious, if Joker knows, why he'd never tell: Batman is "too much fun". Exposing his identity to the public would be too easy for the Joker, and potentially end their "relationship".

Exactly. He's only interested in Batman, not Bruce Wayne.

Another user on IMDB has claimed to have attended a test screening in LA. His answers to questions are generally plausible, though they do not align with other supposed claims of the plot, so it's definitely a fun read. I'm about 6 pages in, and my money is on this being accurate, but that's just me.

That was painful. :csad:

Eh I'm not keen on the villains knowing who the heroes are. I get that with the Joker he probably wouldn't reveal it cause he doesn't care who Batman is.

Joker is really the only one for me.

I'd agree, well people like Darkseid can no who Superman is for me aswell cause he really wouldn't care enough to reveal it. He'd exploit it in that he'd use his connections as Clark to bring him down but I don't think he'd come outright and say Superman is Clark Kent.

I think those "writings" Bruce sees could simply be in Bruce's head. A manifestation of his own guilt.

Imo, Lex shouldn't know Bats' secret identity, though I suppose he probably will. Joker would likely do more than send silly notes--he'd have bigger mind games to play. Jason/red hood makes most sense and could tie into the next Batsolo. But then, why introduce it as part of this film?

I suspect part of "the fever, the rage" Bruce is feeling could make him see things. The Robin suit is probably Joker for real, but the newspaper is him seeing his own inner accusation.

That IMDB post is fake. He said Superman doesn't know he had x-ray vision. Superman had than back in MOS when he was a kid.

Wasnt it mentioned that some elements of Kingdom Come was used for inspiration?

This entire movie is littered with easter eggs that disperse into the wider DCEU and its future as well as its history going off the trailers. Jason Todd's death is historically one of the most relevant events in Bruce's tenure as Batman. A number of the trailers focus on the shot of what is presumably Jason Todd's Robin suit with Joker's scrawled words across it. It seems as though there's a focus on it.

As far as Lex knowing Batman's secret identity, that scene in the Kimmel trailer where he introduces himself to Clark and Bruce definitely suggests he knows more than it seems. As far as Joker sending silly notes, it's kind of exactly what I think the character would do. All three possibilities have a decent amount of logic to back them up. Luthor using it to bait Bruce into more animosity towards Superman or Red Hood guilt tripping Batman for not ending the Joker seem like the most likely options IMO. The Joker's reasons for doing it seem the least likely, but I'll entertain it as a possibility.

I have a question about the "knightmare scene" (and a theory) :
Since we know the implication of Flash in this scene, how he is able to enter or create dreams, since that hasn't been one of his powers so far (if i'm not wrong) ? I see no one talk about this. Maybe it's not a dream after all. Maybe a vision of flash appear during the epilogue and tell briefly to Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman, what's going on in the future with shots of Batman fighting parademons/soldiers scene. Maybe the Batman as Superman hostage scene will be the prologue of the movie to present Affleck as unmasked Batman and confuse audience at the beginning (imagine the movie begins like that), then cut to black zero event. And the epilogue would tease Darkseid.

I think that shot of knightmare batman is the opening of the movie

It would be pretty epic if the movie opened the EXACT same way that very first teaser opened with the same soundtrack and the man saying "is it really so surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?" Then fade into knightmare bats walking up on supes fortress/bunker whatever

So many possibilities, i'm sure the event black zero won't be the first scene of the movie.

Imagine if it started with the black zero even and then went straight into Batfleck coming out of that bunker!?

Imagine if it started in the heat of the Batman v Superman battle with Supes and Batman trading blows. Then a flash of white and it starts from the begging through the whole movie showing how they got to that point?

I personally don't like those openings.

It works sometimes. Not on this one. I'd rather they start with the Black Zero event flashback or a stylized, feature opening-short in the same realm of Bond films.

Imagine getting a glimpse of Wonder Woman in action?

I'd like the opening with Bruce in Metropolis, during a board meeting or some specific event, and then standing up to attention. He realises something big is going on downtown, and he jumps into a car. Drives around the debris and saves the girl.

I actually have a theory that the film opens in that scene where Bruce gets the "you let your family die" letter, then it goes into the ground zero attack.

I'm just wondering what the song "A Beautiful Lie" refers to.
