No question of that! It made $18.4m worldwide on Monday and needs $20.8m more to get to $800m. It's going to be way in excess of $800m after 3 more weekdays! I think expectations need to be revised upwards yet again. This thing is making big bucks outside of US and China.

You know what the next troll narrative will be right? If Endgame makes one penny less than 2 billion they'll say it was due to backlash against CM.

I dont think anyone would be willing to try that. But you never know.

Something very unexpected would have to happen with Endgame for it not to make 2B anyway, I would think.

People were absolutely willing to go along for the ride in Infinity War, which deliberately left the audience with a different type of feeling than usual for these movies. I don't see people not wanting to finish the journey.

We are not used to seeing it done in blockbuster movies, which tend to be about instant gratification, but so much of Infinity War was table-setting. And now with this movie, the table is completely set, and dinner is about to be served.

Superhero fatigue will eventually kick-in and CM will stop at 1,15 billion.
Spider FFH will make only a billion and EndGame will fail to beat Avatar.

Not to mention Shazam will fail to make a 1 billion.

From this point onward, GotG2 made almost 131 mil, if CM doesn't make a dime above that (which it looks like it will) it should end at 409m.

Yeah CM actually had a slightly bigger 2nd weekend drop, but its weekday legs are looking better than GotG2's. It's pulling quite a bit ahead now.

Seriously though, you're right, the Wednesday drop will probably be bigger than usual. I'm hoping for a 40-45% drop, but even if it goes as high as 60% it will still be holding better than GotG2(2nd Monday-Wednesday).

Endgame will be even bigger than IW. It isn’t often a tent pole franchise ends a film on a Netflixesque cliffhanger. I’m dying to see it and more excited for Endgame than I was for IW. Gonna do ar least 2 maybe 3 billion . Could even break Avatar’s record for domestic box office.

I digress CM only makes Endgame more intriguing. But I hope she doesn’t deliver the killing blow but plays her role and not stealing the original 4’s thunder. I trust the Russos
