You completely missed my point, which is not surprising.

The problem is not the actress that plays Selina being older than the actor that plays Batman. The problem is the actress that plays Selina being too old to play this specific young version of Selina.

Let me put a better example: If the actor playing Batman was 26, I still wouldn't rule out a 33 year old actress for Selina because she'd fall right in the age range anyway.

The problem is that at 36, they no longer fall in the age range for the character. It's not about how old they are in relation to Batman, it's how old they are for what they seem to be going for with the character.

The casting calls for Batman and Black Canary were both under 30, and they ended up going for talents older because of all the factors I mentioned, yet your brain is stuck with numbers, which is very narrow minded and thankfully you were not the director otherwise RP's name would be chucked into the toilet (I want a 20-30 y/o not a 33 y/o that does not fit my vision of moderately young Bruce Wayne wa wa wa!!!)

What a pointless discussion. Well, if the Catwoman actress is announced and she's older than 34 you'll have proven me wrong but I really doubt that'll be the case.

She got the mysterious while looking dangerous look down, she is also sexy af.

Ana to me is a better fit for Talia than Catwoman (to keep this on topic) because she is not only Bond Girl hot (so much so she got cast in the upcoming Bond film) but she looks innocent and sympathetic and exotic. She fits Talia to me (her accent is also very Talia to me as well).

Catwoman has a different kind of look and attitude to me. Street smart. Hardened. Addicted to the rush and adrenaline of being a cat bugler and matching wits with Batman. I don't think Ana would be a good fit for that (as hot as she would look in the part).

I am just saying. Talia has already been "race bent" in multiple media apparences (as has Ra's for that matter). Which is why this "no the actress has to be THIS race" argument doesn't really matter to me as much as the other qualities I just mentioned.

I mean, Jubilee is drawn vaguely caucasian in the comics half the time but that doesn't change the fact that she's Chinese-American. Talia's look is a stylistic choice that varies by artist but that doesn't change ethnic background which should be accurately represented.

Ana De Armas is apparently the best part of a movie with Daniel Craig, Don Johnson, LaKeith Stanfield, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer & Michael Shannon. On top of that she's gonna star in Blonde, Andrew Dominik's most ambitious film yet (his words), as Marylin Monroe

Maybe she'll get an Oscar nomination for it too, idk - Dominik's not super Oscar friendly as a film-maker. Either way her career's sky-rocketing, and she had a coach on Blonde so her accent could be less thick which solves one potential problem. I wasn't on the De Armas train before, but her résumé's getting pretty impressive, she'd be a great get. Only issue is her movie with Ben Affleck shoots Q1 2020, but I feel like Disney is gonna can that movie considering how poorly they've been treating Fox projects

Heroic Hollywood is saying Zoe Kravitz is the "model" for Catwoman, but she herself is too busy for the role.

This doesn't really dispute anything tbh, Omega Underground/GWW said the casting for the characters were open to all ethnicities and that Vanessa Kirby was a contender for the role, whether they're specifically looking at woc or not Ella Balinska is my choice.

A young beautiful statuesque up and coming actress, she may be under 25 (...hell she's 22 at the moment) but there is a maturity to her look that I feel would match Robert Pattinson aesthetically. Don't know her acting talents but she'll be making her American debut in the new Charlie's Angels movie as one of the leads as well as in a soon to be released Blumhouse production playing the titular character. Deadline referred to her as a fast-rising star, so I can only assume that she is on Hollywood's radar. From what I researched Ella used to do track and she went to study performance combat so she has the athleticism and training needed for the role of Catwoman.

Stephanie Corneliussen as Selina Kyle/Catwoman would be a get for the DCEU...DC doesn't need to go after A list actors...take the Marvel approach and you go after actors or actresses lesser known and they can become A list stars so that being said she would be great
