Well, at least we know Gugu screen tested for WB/DC, so she is on their radar. Also, I have a feeling if Zazie Beetz weren't in JOKER, she'd be a shoe in for sure, cause the mouse don't seem to be on DP fan train at all.

I like Nathalie Emmanuel and Francesca Hayward. I wouldn't mind Zoe Kravitz and it would be sort of ironic considering what happened 7 years ago when she auditioned for the TDKR.

I mean, seeing as how Joker is meant to be a one-off, that might not stop her from being a candidate here. As for Gugu and Ruth Negga, I'd be very happy if either of them were to land the part, but I'm still not sure if they're too far out of the age range to have a shot.

Nathalie Emmanuel might have a good shot at landing the gig. Just heard a sample of her American accent she used in Four Weddings and a Funeral, it's solid. However I'm not very familiar with her acting chops outside of Game of Thrones and haven't really seen a performance from her yet that sells me on her ability to play a good Catwoman to Pattinson's Batman. Not saying it's out of her wheel house, I just haven't seen the chops and bite yet personally.

Also I'm shocked and appalled that no one here's brought up Janelle Monae yet.

In a vacuum, she wouldn't be. But whoever lands the role is almost certainly going to be playing the part for most of the next decade. A few years, however slight or minimal they might seem to us, can make or break casting sometimes.

For the record, it's not something I personally agree with. I'd be happy with Gugu or Ruth landing the part. I'm just being skeptical because this is Hollywood and because of the time table we're likely to see here.

Because Robert is barely young enough to play this young Batman. They want actors 20-30 for these roles, Robert barely enters that age range. If he was the same age as Gugu is very likely he wouldn't have gotten Batman either.

If let's say, Robert was 29, it wouldn't matter casting an actress that's 32 and 3 years older than him because that actress would still fall right on the age range. Gugu doesn't fall on that age range, she's past it.

Given the new criteria they're looking for, Zoe Kravitz is cool, but sounds like a no. Gugu sounds great, but I think she's too old, according to what it seems they're looking for. Nathalie Emmanuel or Vanessa Hudgens would be ok, I guess, but they wouldn't really get me all that excited. I guess I just defer to Matt Reeves on who he sees as being the best choice. Like I said before, as long as when I see her on screen I think "That's Catwoman" and not "That's _____ in a catsuit" I'm cool.

Personally I think she's too short and doesn't have the right look facially for what I'd want to see for Catwoman.

Nathalie Emmanuel I'd be fine with, but I have her fancast for Talia, so I'm not too keen in it.

Maybe Lindsey Morgan for Selina?
