The Catwoman/Selina Kyle Casting Thread - Part 2

Umberto added that Zazie Beetz was eyed for Selina. So they're still going for a black actress (no Latino or Asian) and were apparently open to the idea to hire a woman who already played in 2 CB movies? That's disappointing. It's like they are not even looking.
I wouldn't read too deeply that Latino or Asians are excluded. Might only mean that the true front runners are still under wraps and an all-black shortlist was unrealistic to begin with.

There were already rumors of Battinson back in January?! Wow, I thought some people were just fancasting him just like everyone is fancasting Ana for Selina right now. Nothing more than that.

Ryan Unicomb heard he was in the running, he then told Bosslogic about it (they're close friends) which caused Bosslogic to make a fanart saying he heard it could end up being Pattinson. After that fanart, lots of more support started coming in and he was in the talks by the mainstream public as fancasting, but it all originated from Ryan.

We very briefly touched on Pattinson before in these forums but before Bosslogic's fanart and Ryan telling him nobody even mentioned him outside from some ocassional post here.

More like Pattinson became a popular fancast so BossLogic made a manip and for some reason people put trust in him (Zac Efron commented on his instagram or something?).

You are completely and entirely wrong.

The Bosslogic fanart came two days after Ben Affleck's public announcement he was out as Batman on Twitter. By that time, Pattinson wasn't a popular fancast at all. Nobody outside these forums even considered him, and even here we spent more time talking about other names before he made that fanart. It was that fanart that really kickstarted the Pattinson conversation into the public.

You can try to rewrite history all you want, but Pattinson was not a popular fancast before that fanart. Nobody on the DCEU subreddit mentioned him, here we barely talked about him before February, nobody on Instagram mentioned him, nobody on youtube mentioned him. Bosslogic heard the name and that's what made people consider the idea. He became a popular fancast after Bosslogic's fanart, not before.

Bosslogic does have proven industry connections. He's friends with several actors, he's made posters for movie studios, he constantly gets invited to events and special screenings.

You can tell me I'm wrong, but I was there and I witnessed it! It's the truth, buddy.

And it's not like Pattinson is a name that's hard to guess. They where looking for young, critically acclaimed actors. Pattinson is one of those guys.

So Ryan Unicomb is reliable. I wish he would give us more infos about which actressses WB is interested in.

Do you guys want receipts that took me less than 5 minutes to find?

Basically some people fan cast him yeah, and he was on list like basically every actors from his age but he was not the end of it all, like a Bale or Cavill, before the manip

Boss Logic heard about him, and a lot of the mainstream media, and fan boys were "uh? "and he was right

Were we one manip away from Nicholas Hoult being Batman?

Ton of Pattinson talk the day before BossLogic drops his manip... hmmm...

Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4
Here we fancasted every single male actor under the sun even before 2019 hit. Of course we talked about Pattinson, I even adressed that this is basically the only site where he was mentioned. But this forum barely counts as we even discussed Dylan ****ing O'Brien at one point. You wouldn't have found any talk of Pattinson on reddit, or twitter or instagram before the day Bosslogic dropped that fanart.

But whatever, you want some concrete evidence?

Here ya go, Google trends:

Right on the day that Bosslogic dropped that fanart.

Spin it all you want but this 100% Ryan's scoop and he deserves credit for telling Bosslogic about it. Pattinson was not a popular fancast before that fanart.

Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 4

Huge support in August 2018, way before BossLogic does anything
Again. I'm not saying we didn't fancast him. I even already addressed we talked about him over here (and it's astounding to me how you always skip the parts where I adress the very counter arguments you make) but we fancasted a lot of people, and by that A LOT of people, he wasn't even the only name we discussed at that length before 2019 hit. In the mainstream (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook) almost nobody even thought of him.

The internet is a big place with a lot of people, but again, those few tweets hardly scream "popular fancast everyone was talking about before Bosslogic came along", if anything you just proved my point because it was only a small minority that even considered the idea.

I just gave you a search for Pattison as Batman on twitter with many results that ends the day before the manip was dropped. You said NO ONE was mentioning him before, which is false.

BossLogic is not a scooper. Scoopers don't know anything. Trust Variety. Trust Hollywood Reporter.

So is there evidence that Ryan Unicorn said RP's gonna be your next Batman?

Like Jett suggesting Brad Pitt as Gordon and FAILED
