I mean, how many times have we suggested Vanessa Kirby or Jodie Comer in this thread? I think most folks here would be fine if Catwoman is played by a British woman so long as she can do a convincing American accent.

My hesitation with Emmanuel is that I only know her from Game of Thrones and while she did a good job in the show, I never saw anything from her character that outright made me think of Selina Kyle. I genuinely don't know if she'd do well with the part.

Judging by her reaction, I don't think she's as far ahead for the job as the rumor would suggest. At best, she might have been a name on a list of possible actresses that Reeves and his casting team were interested in having audition for the part, but this isn't the behavior of someone far into the casting process.

Oh, I didn't know they were British. Cool. I hereby declare that I want Nathalie Emmanuel as Catwoman.

I didn't watch GoT (I've seen some clip of her in the show, though... no, not just that one ) but I've seen her in a couple other things and I feel she could pull off the role. Just my opinion

Yeah. We might as well remove her from the possible candidates. But that maybe because the rest of the characters and their possible actors have yet to be trimmed down.

They usually cast people with some “heat” on them or have some forward momentum in their career. What has Hudgens been in recently of note? Her IMDB is pretty weak and her only credit coming up that may be noteworthy is a role in the Bad Boys for Life movie.

Vanessa Kirby on the other hand was on The Crown, had a notable supporting role in Mission Impossible 6 and has another strong supporting role in Hobbs & Shaw, you can see the trajectory/her staying relevant to current “big” movies.

Yeah, unless the higher ups in Hollywood are all expecting Hudgens' role in Bad Boys for Life to be a breakout moment for her, I'm not sure if she'd have that forward momentum as you put it. And that's actually part of why I don't think Eiza Gonzalez will get the part either, seeing as how she keeps landing side character roles.

Ana de Armas and Vanessa Kirby both seem to be on that uprising swing though, with de Armas being in Bond 25 and Knives Out and Kirby being the female lead in Hobbs & Shaw, on top of her praise for The Crown and M:I Fallout.

I do have to say that I have my reservations when it comes to Kirby and Comer, cause I don't find them to be particularly attractive looking. I know, silly, but I guess everyone wants "their Selina". Hudgens and Emmanuel I do find very attractive, but they haven't proven much in terms of acting ability.

Ana de Armas seems to be getting more and more roles, especially after Blade Runner 2049. if by some chance Hudgens doesn't get it, I can absolutely see Ana getting a shot

As I mentioned above, Hudgens seems to have debunked the rumor herself by weighing in on the fanart and asking where she can get in touch with DC for a shot at the role.

Agreed. Like I've been saying, they're totally going to do chemistry reads between the final candidates and Robert Pattinson to see who works best with him.

Sure, not denying that she has that quality, she was good in Mission Impossible. Still don't find her attractive (which includes more that looks, I should have phrased that better), but that's extremely subjective.

Ummm, can Ana De Armas do an american accent, though? Because otherwise Selina's already complicated history will have to be rewritten again, this time having her not even born in Gotham City.

I've searched for movies to see if she has but so far, no luck. Even in Knock Knock (which also starred Lorenza Izzo hence my mentioning her).

I feel like Vannesa Kirby is probably the most talented of any of the actresses mentioned here thus far and she's probably the best fit for Pattinson. If you want someone who can go toe-to-toe with Pattinson in the acting department, Kirby is the obvious choice here

The issue with the attractiveness debate is that it's entirely subjective. I think Kirby's incredibly attractive, and even more importantly - she can sell the kind of sensuality required for the role just based on her short appearance in Fallout.

That scene with Tom Cruise in MIF is incredibly sexual. Lol. Even more so than Hathaway which is good because I preferred her interpretation over Pfeiffer.
