They should just reveal that the Clint Barton in the movies that we've all come to know and hate, is actually not the real Clint, but is actually his older brother Barney. It could be revealed that Barney took Clint's name in order to protect his younger brother (the real Clint), after he had gotten into some trouble and had to go on the run. Then they could bring in the "real" Clint and go on from there.

Never gonna happen.

I gotta say this was the most I dug tony and Rhodes as friends in a while

Daddy Clint rescues Wanda when Vision gets too possessive on their first date.

That wasn't a date. Remember Stark quarantined her to the Avengers compound and made Vision watch over her.

No one really. Zemo triggers his brain washing and he's escaping captivity. They never say who his target was there.

He shows up out of nowhere to break Wanda out of the Avenger's facility. You assume Cap called him. He mentions things he had planned to do with the kids that this took him away from.

LOL, they took Clint away from his farm and his DIY projects to help in one fight and he apparently ends up in jail and then a fugitive. Should have ignored that phone call dude.

And Whedon never really knew what to do with Steve. I don't think he hated the character like a lot of people I've seen say, but I don't think he was invested in anything beyond the surface with Steve. He was much more interested in other characters (in both good and bad ways).

Regarding Hawkeye, he has never been more badass and useful than he was in Civil War. Of course he's a guy at the bottom of the power pole, but they show the full extent of his abilities and he had lots of moments where he did shine. And for the first time, his fighting style and use of trick arrows made sense. It wasn't those random shooting of arrow off-screen like in the Avengers. Everything he did actionwise had purpose. Lots of strategy and trickery. Never cared much for Hawkeye. Here, I thought he was a total badass.

Ya, I liked him a lot in this. The mere fact that he didn't back down from Vision was so cool to see. He actually had the feel of a superhero in this and called back to the confidence he had in his Thor cameo.

Curious, for those who have seen it, or even those who haven't but know about the mid credit scene...what do you think the odds are that Bucky will come out of cryo? I know it was rumored a few years ago that Sebastian Stan has like a 9 picture deal but I don't know how true that is, and as far as I know that doesn't mean they HAVE to use him, correct?

I'm just wondering if it's even at all implied that he will come back out, or how likely people think that is. I feel like if they don't bring him back it's a pretty unsatisfying and anticlimactic end for the character and doesn't really do him justice imo. Thoughts?

The same source, that was on spot with many CW's scoops including Pepper not appearing in the movie, claims that Stan will totally return in IW. So I think that it was a set up for him to be in Black Panther. He will be in crio until scientists in Wakanda will find a way to deprogram him.

They don't have to use him if they don't want to regardless of his contract. But the Russos are invested in him, so I expect he'll show up again. And putting him in cryo is a great way to "fix" all of his mental issues without actually having to show it on screen, which they don't have time to do anymore, unless Black Panther or the IW movies turn into the Bucky Barnes hour. He's on the shelf for awhile just like most of the original Avengers, but they'll use him again.

They need to just give Hawkeye a real role at some point. I'm starting to get frustrated, either use him or kill him off.

I haven't seen it yet, but I agree with this. I think they will use him again for sure. This is a good way to add drama and buy some time.

I do think Tony may end up being the one to break his mental condition like he did in the comics, and that would be very awesome. I just hope Steve doesn't die!

Thanos wipes out half the life in the universe, Earth is short on heroes, but T'Challa has one in the freezer. That's how he'll come back.

What happens in the comics? I remember Steve giving his memories back with the cube but nothing about Tony. Guess it's time for a reread.

Basically. Bonus points if he and Tony are some of the only two left standing so they have to work together after this movie's beatdown.

There was a fake synopsis of Civil War that said Hawkeye's family dies in the film.

Cause he didn't have a real role in AOU? Haha ok

I think people just miss comic Hawkeye instead of super serial family man Hawkeye.

Tony didn't play a role in Bucky getting his memories back. After Steve was killed Bucky set out to kill Tony. Tony was going over Steve's will and in it Steve tasked Tony with doing whatever it took to save Bucky. Tony's idea to "save" Bucky was to make him the new Captain America.

People who don't read comics keep bashing Zemo, when he's basically the Brubaker Zemo.

He has the same "costume" from Age of Ultron, but we see him wearing people clothes in scenes at the base. The one notable thing he does is accidentally gravely injure Rhodey by hitting him with an energy blast meant to take down Falcon.

Which makes you think he must have been trying to kill Falcon as if that blast took out an armored Warmachine, a relatively unprotected Falcon would have been obliterated.

Yeah, IMO he had a decent chunk in AoU, I guess it's all relative.

I want Hawkeye to have a lead role in a movie, or co-lead. I'm still hoping for him to turn up in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but of course I have no idea if that would work.

Well the beam hit the arc reactor which caused Rhodes to lose power and fall, it's not like it completely destroyed the armor.

I agree 100%. His character was fleshed out more than in The Avengers, where he spent the time under Loki's control. He got two great shots on the twins, the scene with Wanda was one of the funniest and best in the whole movie, and he cemented his role as the 'every man just trying to do the right thing." I'd say that was pretty good character development.

About all you could expect in an ensemble movie where his character isn't one of the big guys who have their own movie.

He was distracted by Wanda when he fired it so it was both off target and likely more powerful than intended. He also was just aiming for Falcon's wing pack.
