Well don't go so far as to say he was less useful.
Yes, he was clumsy. But not only did he do what was intended, to provide a distraction, but he was genuinely hard to deal with. Stark's team struggled with him.
This was also just the 2nd time Scott has done this, and his first time not fainting.
With more training he's sure to be even more of a threat.

Possibly.

The issue is the physics involved. He was like a slow swinging gate moving around.

Do they ever directly mention Quicksilver in this film? Or is Scarlet Witch just kind of there without much reference to her past?

She has her baggage but other than baby pictures on her wall that I assume is the 2 of them, pietro is never mentioned

Hawkeye mentions that he indebted to her. It's because of her brother's sacrifice.

Thanks.

I don't know if there really is some kind of behind-the-scenes shared custody arrangement where Marvel gets Wanda and Fox gets "Peter," but it sure seems to be working out that way anyway.

I doubt it. Why even have QS in AoU if that were the case?

It seems like there might have been some kind of rights jockeying going on. It's not just QS being in two movies, but SW being left out of much of the early concept art for Civil War (to the point that some people were just expecting her to die too). Whether they've cleared this issue up or not, I don't know.

Quicksilver was announced for Days of Future Past after Marvel had already announced him for AoU, so I don't know what was going on there, except that both studios seemed to want to claim him and now Fox has him pretty much exclusively.

There's clearly no issue...

I think there were two bombs. The first one killed her parents and another one that didn't explode.

I think, the bomb dropped and it's weight destroyed her house killed the parents creating a big hole, they were trapped for days waiting for it to explode and finish them off

Why didn't it explode though?

Some people interpreted this as a suggestion that the twins always had latent superhuman powers and Wanda was unconsciously keeping it from exploding. Since much of AoU is probably not going to be referred to again, I doubt this will ever really be explained, but that's the headcanon.

I looked Ultron again. Pietro says he has only one photo he look every day. He talks about the first bomb that blew a hole where their parents fell and destroyed everything, and another one that didn't explode.

I remember ATJ saying that QS dying was always intended, going way back when Whedon first approached him while he was still shooting Godzilla.

I've been hearing a lot of people say Alfie's character is the one from Luke Cage, can I get a confirmation?

Quicksilver's purpose was to introduce his sister to the Avengers. Pietro is Wanda's backup, and when he dies the Avengers become her backup.
