It's what I just said, they're taking aspects of the ultimates that worked. Be it visual or otherwise.
You just have to look to Nick Fury, Falcon, and even Cap to see the visual influences.
I'm SURE the Triskellion is a conceit of the Ultimate U.
Banner's Hulk condition being a result of super soldier recreation attempts?
Chitauri is a name I'd never heard before the Ultimates
And Marissa Tomei is 51.
I'm sure ultimate May hovered in that vicinity.

to be fair the Chitauri were originally suppose to be the skrulls before whedon found out he couldn't use them

but yeah.. all that other stuff is pretty minor compared to the 616 influences

Actually, Whedon says he didn't want to use the Skrulls because the shape shifting would've made the story more complicated then it already was.

Whedon elaborated that after reading so much speculation that the identity of the aliens had to be the Skrulls or the Kree, he didn’t want anyone to go into the film and be disappointed. “The Skrulls – they can shape change. That’s a whole thing,” he said. “I’ve already got Loki. He’s got magic. Once you got magic along with your Iron Man and your Black Widow – it’s a real juggling act.”

And I'm fairly certain there was another interview where he reiterated that point, claiming that there was already enough mistrust and in-fighting in the story without needing to add alien impostors.

Exactly.
It should be. 616 should be first and foremost. But Marvel's been smart to cull things that work better from the now defunct Ultimate U.

He has to be Peter wouldn't be Spidey if Ben wasn't dead.

he's honestly said a bunch of things that have contradicted each other

Sharon for some reason is being marketed in promotional art as if she dons a suit and mockingbirds batons... but none of that happens. she has one fight with WinterSoldier (which we've all scene and it's been released) and that's the only time we see her in action....

you don't see her again after she delivers cap's shield and falcons wings and kisses Steve ... it's suggested she will be on the run though once people find out what she did.

This might be some very wild speculating, but imagine if Sharon being forced to leave her spot at the Anti-Terror Centre, leading to her being recruited to SHIELD so she can join Coulson's team for Season 4?

Any idea how many stories high Scott as Giant-man was? Like 30 storie-ish?

Ironman was probably comparable to the size of his hand.
(Scott grabbed his, or maybe it was Rhodey's leg, to prevent him from flying too far.
So, gauge that however you will

So kinda like a person grabbing a Marvel Legends action figure it seems.

Hearing about Giant-man makes me REALLY want to see a fairly faithful Galactus go against the FF and the Avengers one day.

Honestly, Scott's size made him kind of a liability after a while. He was more of a giant-sized "distraction" so to speak.

The best part was the shock and awe and to a certain extent, envy that his side didn't have a trick like that up their sleeves.

Still kinda sucks how they don't explain it and just want you to assume Tony has the resources to figure it out. Maybe in the director's cut? Would have loved to see a scene with Tony in costume seeing someone swinging through the streets and following him home. That or one of his bots locating him. Anything besides just knowing Tony figured it out. Kinda takes away from Peter's ability to keep his identity a secret.

Not only the fact it's very convenient, with the lack of explanation.

That was the idea, to be fair. So that Cap & Bucky could make their escape.

You really don't need much more of an explanation. One of the smartest, most tech savvy people on the planet managed to track him down. It speaks for itself.

Depends on the viewer. For me personally, it starts to become a little cheesy/cheap when it happens too often and things aren't consistently "earned". Definitely a tough balance with the amount of characters CA:CW has.

I do think that the average movie goer couldn't care less - particularly with CBMs. Stark seeking out Spiderman is pretty much the same thing as when the X-Men conveniently went to go get Quicksilver. It gets overlooked because the crowd loved what the character actually got to do when in action.

the problem is Spidey has many tech based villains that should be able to do this without a problem... I mean.. the only real one to ever track him down was Norman following him using stealth (Which anyone can indeed do) but for just using cameras... anyone from Ock to vulture should be able to do this...

At this point in his career, I doubt he has many villains of that caliber gunning for him anyway. He's been doing this a whole six months. It might come into play later, but hell, Tony finding him might make Spidey decide he needs to be more careful in the future. And I'm sure Tony could wipe out what's already out there to help too.

Perfect.
You deserve a No-Prize.

I like what I hear about Giant Man. I can see why Giant Size is actually less useful. I mean your basically a huge moving target when your big.

Well don't go so far as to say he was less useful.
Yes, he was clumsy. But not only did he do what was intended, to provide a distraction, but he was genuinely hard to deal with. Stark's team struggled with him.
This was also just the 2nd time Scott has done this, and his first time not fainting.
With more training he's sure to be even more of a threat.
