Well, those suits were all built by an insomniac Stark and in large quantities so weren't up to the standards of his main suit. Plus, IM3 just wasn't very good :)

Avengers did a pretty good job of establishing power levels IMO: Hulk > Thor > > Iron Man > Cap > BW/Hawkeye. He also managed to hang with and maybe 'beat' Hulk in AoU (yeah, I know it was a specialist suit but no one other than Thor could come anything at that level of power - and his normal suit would probably be way too much for Cap or Bucky at a fraction of that strength).

His "normal" suit gets recked by Cap. Tony was going all out too. Do you forget that Cap is a SUPER soldier? Him vs. Iron Man always seemed like a fair fight to me power-level wise.

Wrecked 1 on 1 or with Bucky to help?

Guys, power levels are not some all absolute equation.
While I'm not talking about that other film, look at characters like Batman in the comics. Or hey, Spiderman in his comics. The sheer POWER and Stregnth of their enemies. (Or even the reverse, how a guy like Doc Ock can trade blows with Spidey)
But when you watch them go blow for blow, it's good. It's awesome, if it's displayed and written in an entertaining fashion.
(If you haven't already,) wait until you watch the movie. This fight WORKS.
The drama on display is there during the fight.
Just watch.

I agree with that. Power is always contextual and can be overcome with strategy and circumstances. Just because iron man has been shown as more powerful than cap doesn't mean he would always win. The challenge the filmmakers have is writing it so that it appears plausible within the universe that has already been established. Haven't seen the film so look forward to seeing how it is done.

I was interested in how iron man was portrayed overall throughout the film though - including the airport fight etc.

I'd be careful with the whole "power level" thing when it comes to the airport fight. It's more akin to brothers wrestling in the house or a WWE Royal Rumble when two friends end up as the remaining combatants.

Team Iron Man is attempting to apprehend Captain America. At one point Tony does get a little frustrated with the resistance, but the intentions are never to hurt anyone. The only participant who gets hurt is Rhodey, but that was 100% by accident.

The movie trailers make the squabble seem a lot more intense than it actually is.

yeah... if people are expecting a warzone no holds no bar battle to the death.. you're not getting it in Civil War... they do not want to kill eachother...

though, the cap/bucky/tony fight is pretty much exactly that.. Tony is a bit crippled due to some hard hits and Bucky nearly ripping the reactor out of his chest though.. so that battle does feel real and heavy, and dangerous

Yup. I forgot to mention they saved the intensity for the end battle. :woot:

Yeah, as outright AWESOME and MUCH talked about as the airport battle will be,
It's that last fight that's really the one I'm looking foward to seeing again.
God the sheer emotion and heart break that leads in to it and during it.
I'll still internally yell "Cap, No!!!!" When I see him lift his shield up to come down for that final blow.
Even though I know now he doesn't decapitate Tony....N the heat of the moment it's still probably gonna hit me in the feels.
And the betrayal in Tony's eyes before the fight begins.

So with Downey joining Spider-man Homecoming it makes sense with the scenes in this movie. Next up is confirmation that Cap will be in BP. Leading me to believe Everett Ross/Zemo/Cap/Winter Soldier with be a C-D storyline. For Better or Worse

Did they explain the significance of Wanda's necklace?

I seriously hope they don't do that.

I'm fine with Ross being part of the principle cast since he's actually a Black Panther character, but I don't need Steve, Bucky, or Zemo taking up space in a Black Panther solo movie.

Feige said "The movie is a big geopolitical action adventure that focuses on the family and royal struggle of T'Challa in Wakanda and what it means to be a king,"

Heroic Hollywood posted something about Evan's "unforgettable" scene with Spidey. What dialogue are they referring to? Was it when Cap asked him where he was from and Spidey said Queens?

Don't get people excited...
