Oh. I guess I mistook that for something else cause I was expecting a costume with tights and stuff. Sorry Eddie. I will look into it.

I have taken a look at the roster, and found a way high number of heroes and not many villians at all. WIth that in mind Mind-Warp needs to return!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Mind-Warp. Here is a re-posting of the app.

Create a Hero/Villain RPG SEASON I/II

Screen Name: MST3K 4ever

Character you have created: Mind-Warp
Alias: Dylan Chambers

Speech Color: I think this will do just fine for when he uses his powers and this for normal conversation

Character Alignment: Hero/Villain:Villain all the way

Identity: Secret/Known: Secret

Character Personality(Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Dylan is out for one thing and one thing only: Absolute Power for himself, and no-one else.If anything or anyone will help him attain that power then he is all in favor of it. If it derails his plans for absolute power he will do everything in his power to destroy it.

He generally handles situations in a calm, thought-out very in control manner. Rarely,if ever, does he lose his cool relying heavliy on natural charm and charisma to guide him in his actions. He prides himself on being on complete control.

Origin Info/Details:
Dr. Edward Chambers was a brilliant neruologist. The only thing he loved more than his work was his wife Cheryl. Though at times he did cross the line in sometimes treating his patients with wild-theories and drugs that weren't FDA approved he got results and Cheryl kept him morally grounded most of the time. Cheryl died while giving birth to Dylan and when she died his moral compass was gone. Edward became dangerously erratic when treating his patients, and finally he had to give up being a doctor. He turned his interests towards experimenting on the human brain, and when he couldn't find anyone else to be his lab-rat he chose Dylan to be his subject. Besides he felt since Dylan was the cause of Cheryl's death this was his way of getting even with Dylan.

He began to have an intense desire to read & learn all that he could early on in life. Dylan was a genius, graduated high-school at age 13. College at 15 passed the bar at 19.

His father, much to his surprise, discovered a rather interesting side-effect of the medications & testing as well. That Dylan could make people do things just by asking them to do them. No matter what they would do what-ever they asked of him, and not even think anything of it. For example, in grade-school if Dylan thought he deserved an "A" on test when he actually deserved a "C" all he would do is tell the teacher he should recieve an "A" and he got one without the teacher even putting any sort of fight or remembering that Dylan told them to change his grade. Dylan also discovered he could hear other people's thoughts if he touched them. Unfortunetly he also inherited his father's lack of morals, and no discernable level of a conscience.

Edward thought that Dylan would not only be his legacy, but also his best chance at getting even bigger research grants and any job he wanted. However Dylan soon began to not only realize what his father was doing to him, but that he had certain powers that his father couldn't control. Dylan had enough of his father, and knew it was time to deal with his father once and for all. His first major crime was to order his father to drive his car off of a cliff.

Dylan went to land a job at the prestigous law firm of Schriber & Arron. He never lost a case (even though most of his cases were won because he told the other lawyer to drop the case or a police officer to lose key peices of evidence) and when he was made a partner he "persuaded" the others to leave the firm. They either left to start their own firms (if Dylan liked them) and leave Dylan with their clients or they were involved in an "accident" (if he didn't like then).

(Dylan doesn't go by the name "Mind-Warp" per-se much like Jonn Jonez doesn't go by "Martian Manhunter"...but it's a name that works for him. He doesn't wear a costume either. Most of the time he wears an Armani suit with dark shades)

Hero Type: (Select one)
Since I can only select one I think Mystic works best for Dylan

Power Level (Select one below):

3. World Level (Ex. Flash, Superman) being able to read people's minds and to make them do something without them even fighting back is pretty powerful (Think "Jedi-mind-trick" without the waving of the hand)

Powers (Be Specific):
1) Mind-manipulation. If Dylan looks at you and tells you do to something you do it without question or hesitation. Once it is done you don't remember Dylan giving you the order to do it. You just know it is something you felt the need to do.

2) Mind-reading: Okay this power isn't as impressive as it sounds. Dylan can hear someone's thoughts by touching them and looking at them. He cannot hear whole thoughts he can hear specific things only. For example if he wanted the code to a computer program he would touch the programmer, look at them and hear only what he is looking for.

Attributes (Select one at each category): With the power of his mind
Dylan is able to press his body to due feats of super-human purportions. Although it is a temporary ability and does cause a great deal of strain.

Strength Level: 40...while he abhors physically violence Dylan does like to workout and knows that sometimes he may actually need to use brute force. Though he prefers to use his mind.

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 40.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort 4...I use this because Dylan is one that likes to be in control and win, and if that means winning by attrition he will.

Agility: 10X,

Intelligence: Average/Genius/Super-Genius: Super-genius...the guy passed the bar before he was 20...'nuff said.

Fighting Skill: Trained....he knows how to fight hand to hand...he just isn't very good at it.

Resources: He is a lawyer who has never lost a case and his retainer alone is 5million dollars. Trust me this guy is loaded and he knows how to use his money.

Weaknesses: Dylan is mortal if you shoot him (before he has a chance to tell you to lower your gun) he will die. However to use his mind power against him is simple. If he tries to use his power and sees his reflection anywhere he gets the migraine from hell and loses his power for a time. The only way he gets it back is by immersing himself in an isolation tank for 24 hours.

Supporting Characters: The only person he even remotely associates with is his secretary Brenda. He sees several different women socaily, and is not very close to anyone. He is fighting feelings of love towards Brenda. He loves her but realizes that if he gives into those feelings it could de-rail his plans of ruling over the city.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I like playing villains and this one seems rather unique.

2. I like the fact that no matter what happens Dylan is able to spin it as a positive for him.

3.He relies on his mind first before using anything else. He doesn't rely on theatrics to help enhance his persona as a villian he relies on himself.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: 1) Over 25 years of RPG experience 2) I have played with many of the players here and I work well with them.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As often as I can

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:Not well

Sample Origin Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

Dylan is sitting in his office going over a file at the end of busy day when the chair-person of his foundation Tyler Kenney enters his office carrying a file of his own.

Tyler says, "Mr. Chambers can I see you for a moment?"

Dylan replies, "Of course Tyler come in what can I do for you?"

Tyler says, "Well sir I don't know how to say this."

Dylan says, "I found the direct approach usually works best. What is it Tyler?"

Tyler says, "Sir I have been going over the books of your foundation and found several financial inaccuricies."

Dylan is somewhat stunned as he says, "Inaccuricies, please go on."

Tyler opens up the file and says, "Well Mr. Chambers I have been doing some research and found that several million dollars of your foundation's money is going into a swiss bank account. Registered to a corperation that doens't even exist. Sir what is going on?"

Dylan stands up and smiles. He adjusts his tie and says, "Tyler, Tyler sometimes foundations set up dummy companies and different accounts to keep computer hackers from accessing financial information that could be used against them."

Dylan fixes himself a drink and calmly says, "This is not one of those cases, for you have discovered that I am stealing from the foundation."

Tyler is stunned and says, "Sir just what do you mean?"

Dylan says, "You will forget that I told you that, your research, and just relax."

Tyler smiles and says, "Of course sir."

Dylan says, "Excellent, Now you are going to go back to your office and wait for the police to arrive."

Tyler replies, "Of course I will Mr. Chambers."

Dylan says, "Then you will confess that it was you who had stolen the money."

Tyler nods and smiles as Dylan says, "Once you are in custody two days after the Grand Jury hearing you will write out a suicide note. Lammenting your failed life of crime and failed legal career."

Tyler replies, "You got it Mr. Chambers."

Dylan nods and says, "After that you will commit suicide."

Tyler nods as Dylan says, "Now go to your office and thank you for helping in this matter Tyler."

Tyler leaves as Dylan changes the paper-trail to fall back on Tyler Kenney.

Three days later Dylan is watching himself on TV "weeping" over Tyler's suicide.

One of the worst performances of my life and the media is eating it alive..

He stares at his hands for a moment...that reminds me.

He presses a button on his phone and says, "Brenda set-up an appointment with my manicurist for tomorrow afternoon."

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Captain Jet II

Alias: Dave Jenkins (Matthew Small aka Captain Jet I in flashbacks)

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not):

Red Verdana for Dave/Crimson Microsoft Sans Serif Bolded for Captain Jet II.

Blue Arial for Matt Small/Navy Lucida Sans Unicode Bolded for Matt Small/Captain Jet I.

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret (Known to STRIKE, Dave's OTHER employer)

Character Personality: Dave is a compassionate man, who cares deeply for his students and innocents alike. He wants greatly to do more good in the world than just the classroom, and when STRIKE saw the true potential within Dave, as well as his patriotism and value of life, they figured he was the PERFECT candidate for becoming the NEW Captain Jet.

Whereas the FIRST Captain Jet, Mattew Small, half-brother of Jon Small (aka Blacklight), was alot more overbearrng and self-confidant, even to the point of arrogance. A reflection of how the United States Military acted when their Project: Jet Program was a success, and they chose Matt to be the first Captain Jet because of his outstanding physical specifications, until he was injured.

Origin Info/Details:

When the United States Army was sick of losing men over wars and battles that they found completely unneccessary, they decided to use a substantial amount of government surplus money to start a new program they had codenamed "Project: Jet". The leader of the program, Colonel Patton Beaudoin, was a huge reader of comic books before joining the army at 16 to serve in Vietnam. The first comic he bought when he returned from the war was Iron Man, and to this day Patton is one of the biggest Iron Man fans in the military. From there, the good Colonel believes that rather than spend twice as much money producing actual super soldiers, they use the funding to build a powered exo-skeletal armor, and more like it. They then went on to hire the most brilliant minds and technicians to create the suit, and had one success. That suit was given to Private Matthew Small, who outclassed ALL the other candidates in the physical tests to see who could control the suit the best and with the least strain. He passed with flying colors, despite his overbearring ego and boundless overconfidence, not to mention huge ego. Matt then spent the next few weeks doing more secret black ops missions overseas with the suit before the public drew their attentions to him, idolizing him as a hero, which boosted his already enormous ego. An ego that lead him into attacking a fellow hero (who as it turns out, was Blacklight, who in reality is Jon Small, Matt's half-brother), which resulted in a fight that ended in Blacklight's favor, in which Matt and the Jet-suit both suffrered substantial damage... Then, with their only success out of comission, Beaudoin dismantled the project and was going to sell all that was left of it (data, blueprints, files, technology...) to the highest bidder....

Enter STRIKE, a powerful government organization created for the sole purpose of monitoring metahumans. And when the Army auctioned the project off, STRIKE managed to outbid the FBI, CIA, NSA, US Secret Service, the Navy, Air Force, Marines and many a huge weapons companies (including the nefarious AmmoCorp., a company who happens to be a frequent opposition to hero Blacklight, due to their disposition and even straight out hatred against metahumans) for Project: Jet, and as such recieved everything kept that was related to the project, and created a new, upgraded suit of armor, and they went to work on choosing a new candidate to wear it. Someone who not only was fit, but was compassionate, and knew the value of life. Someone who could teach the world to be a better place...

Their search led them to Enrico Fermi High School special eduaction aid and Vernova, CT resident Dave Jenkins. A true, blue patriot who's values have been proven to be nearly incorruptible. He teaches the kids in his classroom history, he loves beaseball, and he even salutes the flag and pladges alliegance to it every morning. Those things along with his high value for human life and dreams to change the world prompted STRIKE to give Dave the cahnce of a lifetime... The oppurtunity to change the world more than just the classroom, by becoming the new Captain Jet...

At first, Dave was apprehensive about the prospect of living a double life as a superhero, let alone being employed by a government organization, considering his views about how the government has messed up pretty badly the past few years, but he decided to give it a try after much persuasion, including recieving a 5-figure paycheck bi-weekly to help support his loved ones. From that day forward, Dave quit his second job as a bartender to start his official STRIKE Enferno/Vernova Division training to become the brand new Captain Jet!

One little tidbit of information is that not only is Dave the teacher's aid in Classroom A202 alongside Carol Gardner, but two of their students just so happen to be two of Enferno's most prominent protectors, Jon Small and Shawn Violette, otherwise known as Blacklight and the Ghost Kid respectively. And both Dave and Carol have been longtime mentors to Jon since his move to Enferno, and they both have a special place in Jon's heart.

Hero Type (Select one):
Normal/Gray Matter (whichever one you would consider an Armored *hint hint nudge nudge* character...)

Power Level (Select one below): World Level

Powers (Be Specific): Both Dave's and Matt's suits have built in miniature jet engines with collapsible wings, as wel as low-power thrusters in the boots of the suit and flight stabilizers in the palms of the gloves that doulbe as energy expellment devices to shoot blasts of plasmic energy. Dave's suit is alot more refined and sophisticated, and includes amny extra armamnets including mini-grenades and other weapons, GPS satellite relay and tracking, communications with any phone on the planet, and a helmet with tons of extra types of frquency indentifiers, like infrared and microscopic vision...

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Normal Human, 100 with the armor

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human, 5+ hours with the armor

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Average

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Extreme

Weaknesses: The suit is made of technology, and is succeptible to most forms of technology destroying agents such as magnets, virsues, and electric currents/static interference. His humanity may also be a weakness if exploited.

Supporting Characters : Other than his mother whom of which is a Connecticut State Representative and a brother, Dave's supporting cast includes his friend and colleague Carol Gardner, the teacher he's been partnered with for years and A202's offical teacher, and his class of students, which he cares for deeply. Two of those said students being Jonathan Small and Shawn Violette, whom neither of which know Dave's secret identity, as he does not know of theirs either.

Indirectly, Dave's supporting cast, despite him never meeting him, also includes his predecessor to the Captain Jet mantle, Matt Small, his student Jon Small's/Blacklight's half brother.

In the STRIKE Division that runs Project Jet that is currently stationed in Enferno, CT, Dave's cast on that front includes his instructors in combat and weapons, Mariana and Zeeke. Lab technician and super-genius Rodrigo "Roddy" Fermi (coincidentally the descendent of Enrico Fermi, the High School Dave is an aid for's namesake), whose official STRIKE codename is "Circuit". Circuit is mostly in charge of reparing and upgrading Dave's Captain Jet suit, as well as most technological maitenance. Also, Dave's advisor and leader of the Project as well as the entire Vernova/Enferno branch is Lt. Maynard Kane. He gives Dave his missions, and he is expected to do them.

Whereas Matt's cast includes former Project Jet Director Beaudoin, the Small family, and his army unit.

List a few reasons why you've created that character: Dave, or Mr. J as I call him, is a great man who has helped me alot, and is one of my heroes, and if I'm not mistaken, isn't playing our favorite heroes why we're all here?

What can you bring to the RPG?: Another hero to join part in the "big plans", as well as a character that isn't stuck in so much solo arc hell that I can post more...

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?:

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

Hello. I'm Dave, and I might be just a little bit over my head here...

"Set thrust to ten clicks. Enable stabilizers..."

Nothing could've ever prepared Dave Jenkins for what was about to happen to his life... His destiny arriving. Dave was the type of guy that always wanted to do good in the world, and now he's been given a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to do so... By working for STRIKE as the new Captain Jet.

STRIKE... These guys give me bad vibes, but then again I shouldn't expect anything less from people working for a government organization, let alone one started when Bush was president...

But Dave accepted nonetheless, because despite his stance on the less-than-noble actions the government has been making lately, Dave saw that STRIKE is only just looking to see the day that this country actually feels safe, because it is safe... Something Mr. J wants hmself... So here he is now, playing along with this idea of rolling with STRIKE as long as he could, about to take his first test... Flight.

"Liftoff in 3, 2..."

Just then the thrusters in his mechanical boots roared as he slowly floated up inches off the ground, which soon became a few feet, he himself trying to keep himself balanced with the partially finished hand-placed flight stabilizers while staying as high up as he could without crashing. And to his surprise, he wasn't doing as badly as he thought he would...

This ain't half bad... Sure as hell beats helping Jon with his geometry...

"Cutting power..." the man known as Circuit, the lab tech running the tests, had announced, and like that, Dave crashed to the floor, hurting his back as he winced in pain...

"Holy crap Dave are you okay, dude?"

"Yeah... I can fly..."

Enter STRIKE, a powerful government organization created for the sole purpose of monitoring metahumans. And when the Army auctioned off, STRIKE outbid the FBI, CIA, NSA, US Secret Service, the Navy, Air Force and Marines for Project: Jet, and as such recieved everything kept that was related to the project, and created a new, upgraded suit of armor, and they went to work on choosing a new candidate to wear it.

Normal/Gray Matter (whichever one you would consider an Armored *hint hint nudge nudge*character...)

Thanks. Trusty if you want to redesign that armor, you can try, but I'd be content if you use that one. I think it looks good.

And for the record, I TOTALLY see Captain Jet and the Citizen crossing paths, EBJ.:woot:

I think it is a result of being surprised Climp has a pet tarantula perhaps?

...Or just the fact that his tarantula is named Fluffy. That's all I can think of.
Hey, she's a girl, and she's fluffy... And I like naming my pets with inappropriate names for the animal (One of my rats is called Tiddles).

Oh, and she didn't moult. She pulled a Stolen Earth.

:shudders:

I personally suffer from a severe case of arachnophobia. All stemming from a tramatic event when I was about 4.

It's almost funny...and actually quite funny to my fiancee who keeps telling me she's getting a tarantula...but I just kinda freeze whenever I'm around any spider...be it a big scary hairy one...or alittle one...orone of those damn daddy long legs.

Spiders + NMS= heart stopping terror for me and side splitting hilarity for anyone around me.

Tarantulas are strange though, because I hate spiders too. I used to be phobic of Daddy Long Legs, and if I see a Harvest Spider, I refuse to go in the room even after it's gone. But Fluffy, she's really cute and she's such a lovely creature. She wouldn't hurt a fly... Just a cricket instead :oldrazz:. Yeah, but she is cute.

oh, I believe it. I actually did hold a tarantula once. Very docile.

Then it moved, and I was done.

Haha. When I was about Five, I begged my mum for a tarantula, but because you have to be twelve to have one unless the parnet helps, and my mum hated them, I couldn't have one. I didn't take no for an answer, so she took me to see a real one to scare me out of having one. It didn't work, because I held it. Then a month or so back, I was saving up to by one, and we went and had a look, and I held one again, and my dad bought it for me. When my dad dropped me at home, my mum saw it and flipped because she was so terrified. Three days later she was holding it.

So yeah, Tarantulas aren't as bad. I think it's just because they're big and slow whereas Spiders are all quick.

lol, it's ok.

I really haven't gotten any this season either...and I don't want it. I've had some stinkers and I know/fully admit it.

But hey...they can't all be gems

I've read a few of Shadow Walker's posts. They're cool . I've been reading quite a few heroes this Season. Last season all I read was EB's Mantis posts. This RPG is definately the best on Hype, IMO, because it sort of extends back to when I was in my third or fourth school year and we all used to play Superhero games with eachother. I alwas used to be Electron then, so it's sort of full circle. Most of my villains and supporting characters in this RPG are based on characters in that game we used to play... Savage was originally a red Werewolf, Zireus was like a plant version of Venom, Silhouette was the same, just called Shadow-Walker, so it's nice to be able to revamp them and give them back stories now I'm older.

kinda important...

FYI
