The Create-A-Hero RPG Season II OOC Thread

You know, I've been thinking...what if the picture rosters I do is not really a roster so much as it is just to show the character's design? I know what you're thinking: "that's what it already is!!". But what I mean is, in the picture roster I'd include every single character ever introduced to CAH. Kinda like just a collage of all the characters within the CAH-universe as a sort of reminder.

The list roster would be the only actual roster then.
That... that sounds like a hell of a lot of work.

I mean, its work for you, so I've no reason to be against it... but that sounds like an awful lot...

And I'm aware the quality of my last couple posts has fallen off... they've been a little less flowery as I try to rush my guy into action.

Well, I'd just edit in the MicroHeroes I have from earlier this Season and last Season. It wouldn't take me long. Just curious what Spike and NightMare things about the idea. As of now, I figured I'd still have 3 MicroHero collected pictures.

Ahh... I confused myself. I was picturing bit supporting characters and such. You meant characters from seasons past and idle inactive ones I'm guessing.

Letting everyone know that i'll have a Spartan and Youngter post either tonight or tomorrow

I'd be fine with the idea, Trusty.
On a side note, my sister showed up yesterday rather unexpectedly, so I might not get a post in while I'm playing host for her.

Sweet. Will get on top of that hopefully later tonight. Not sure if I will do anything after dinner, but I really really wanna do that. So many MicroHeroes I've redesigned and such. :clown:

I think I might need to keep claim on that design for my character.

I now have ideas...

I snatched what MicroHeroes I could find. I know I'm missing a few but I edited the ones I found at least...:(

I'll be out of town for about a week. Until then Dylan is at the Hospital waiting for Brenda to recover.

I had been planning on getting some posts up tonight in this, and acouple other games. But I had a pretty bad day and I'm just not feeling that creative tonight. I'll try to get something up either later tonight or tomorrow.

Went through a great deal of the Season I OOC thread and I snagged a few more characters that I think are practically forgotten they were one of the first and never seen again. So I hope to edit them into the "Characters of Old and New" MicroHero picture later tonight.

Well, I hate to say it, but I'm dropping Eternus. Just can't really get up any interest in posting as him at the current time. Might come back to him at a later date, but for now I'm kicking him to the curb.

Character you have created: Marcius Ovidius Valentius
Alias: Marcus Valentine

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): dark red, bold

Character Alignment: Villain

Identity: Secret (only those in the supernatural community know what Marcus truly is)

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Marcius is an arrogant and sarcastic being, believing humans are lower lifeforms. They are nothing but trinkets and toys, meant to be used and abused however he sees fit. He is a intelligent creature, often coming off as pretentious at times. Marcus has a fearsome temper that can explode, but most times he is able to keep a cool head about him.

Uniform/costume: No uniform. Marcius just wears regular street clothes, albeit expensive ones.

Origin Info/Details: Born in the year 80 BC in the city of Rome, Marcius was the son of a successful merchant. Learning the family trade at a young age, Marcius accompanied his father on many trips across the empire. His father's standing in the eyes of the social elite was high, and because of this Marcius grew up never wanting for anything. His father trained him in the arts of dealing with people. How to spot and exploit character flaws, the art of the silver tongue, and how to use the vanity that many of the socialites possessed to his advantage.

When the time came for Marcius to serve in the Roman army, Marcius' father used his connections to see to it that his son would be put in a position of authority. And Marcius didn't make the decision difficult for his commanders as he excelled in his training and boasted strong leadership qualities. Assigned to the 13th Legion, Marcius stood out amongst his peers for his bravery and cunning in battle after battle.

A respected war hero of the empire, Marcius enjoyed a celebrated life whenever he returned home. And it was this celebrity that allowed him to win the heart of the woman he had longed for since he first saw her. After a whirlwind courtship, Marcius married his beloved and enjoyed a peaceful bliss with his new family. Marcius was awaiting the birth of his son when the 13th was sent out to the fields of Germania to subjugate the barbarian hordes.

Marcius went to war, but in the back of his mind were the thoughts of his return home and seeing his wife and young son for the very first time. But one September afternoon in the year 52 BC, Marcius' life would change forever. Outnumbered five to one at the Battle of Alesia, the Roman legions fought as fiercely as did their barbarian enemies. Marcius' attachment became cut off and decimated, but Marcius and a handful of others never backed down. Finding a defensible position, they fought off the waves Gallic warriors for hours long into the night. Marcius himself displayed a tenacity and rage yet unseen that frightened friend and foe alike.

But all his emotion and prowess could not save him from the archer's volley. An arrow found it's way through his armor and into his chest, bringing the great Marcius Ovidius Valentius down. His men fought bravely and were able to hold the enemy off long enough to get their injured captain out of the battle. Feeling his life force drifting away, Marcius could only think about how he would not be able to see his son.

Soon the battle was over, but, as the men celebrated around him, Marcius was left dying and distraught. He felt the icy hands of the reaper on his heart, and knew that he would not survive to see the morning sun. As Marcius shed tears of sadness, the guards posted around him were cut down in the blink of an eye. The assassin was barely visible, practically a blur to the naked eye. And when the final soldier was killed, Marcius saw a beautiful Gallic woman standing over him. As she looked over him, like a person inspecting a piece of meat at a market, Marcius awaited her killing blow. But it never came.

The woman spoke to him, telling Marcius that she had witnessed the battle. Marcius' ferocity intrigued her, and she offered him a chance at life again. Marcius, thinking solely of seeing his wife and son, accepted without thinking. When she smiled and sunk her fangs into his neck, he knew then that he had made a terrible mistake. Marcius Ovidius Valentius died that night, but was reborn with the setting sun the following day.

Now a vampire in the service of his mistress, Marcius traveled with all haste back to Rome and his family. But the news of his demise had reached them before he could, and Marcius stood by and watch their sorrow from afar. He wanted to go to them, to hold his wife and see his boy, tell them everything was all right. But that could never be. He was an outcast now. A monster of the night. His human life was no more and the pain of his loss drove Marcius farther and farther away from his humanity over the years.

Marcius traveled the world with his creator, learning the customs of vampire society and how to properly use his new gifts. Putting his past life behind him, Marcius reveled in his new might, preying on the frail humans who he came to see as nothing more than talking animals.

Marcius has been walking this Earth for over two-thousand years, and is one of the oldest and most powerful vampires known to exist. Over the centuries, Marcius has amassed a generous fortune that he used to create a successful business that deals in antiques and artifacts, buying, selling, and trading them worldwide. Marcius currently resides in a rather large, secluded estate in the state of Maine. From here he furthers his own goals and business dealings, passing the nights feeding and finding entertainment wherever he can.

Hero Type (Select one): Supernatural (Vampire)

Power Level (Select one below): World Level

Powers (Be Specific): Superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability; able to move at lightning speed for short bursts; flight; hypnotic gaze able to entrance humans and superhumans alike; fangs enable him to drink the blood of the living; able to create spawn by draining dry and then pouring his own blood in the victim's mouth. After burying the victim in the ground they rise as a vampire subservient to Marcus the next night; Marcus is an ancient vampire, one of the oldest known, and has grown powerful over the centuries. He immune to the affects of holy water and garlic. Both of which could both annoy and potential kill lesser vampires.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: 30

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Reaction time and speed are much faster than a peak human; able to run at amazing speeds for short bursts to where he appears as nothing but a blur

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Undead (Marcus does not tire at all, or need to eat or breath)

Agility: Much more agile than a normal man in peak condition, though he is no Olympic gymnast

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Mastered (Marcus is well versed in many fighting styles from over the centuries, from his Roman army training, to picking up various martial arts over the years)

Resources: Large

Weaknesses (If your stats chosen are deemed powerful enough by a Game Master with no weakness, the character will fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters. Even with a weakness, a Game Master may rule it as a Level 3 or 4 character): Sunlight weakens Marcus, and prolonged exposure will kill him, causing him to burst into flames within minutes; vampires are highly allergic to silver, causing severe burning when in contact with the skin. Large doses can be fatal; a wooden stake through the heart will kill a vampire instantly, though if the stake is removed the vampire will return to life; Marcus must sleep during the day, completely away from sunlight (most vamps choose to rest in coffins or inside the ground, but Marcus enjoys sleeping in his plush bed in the middle of his basement). If a vampire is unable to rest, they will grow weaker and weaker by the day. Eventually, they will die a slow, agonizing death; A vampire must feed at least once a night on the blood of the living. If a vampire does not feed, they will grow weaker and eventually die.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?): To be revealed later

List a few reasons why you've created that character: I'm a fan of the supernatural/mythical stuff. I like to play a villain, and a vampire villain seems like a good idea. Because I created him.

What can you bring to the RPG?: Experience in RPing.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?:

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

"What are you waiting for? Finish it already", he coughed.

The woman simply stared down at him and smiled. She was a small thing, still beautiful to the eyes though she was bathed in the blood of his comrades at arms. But there was something about her. A coldness that Marcius felt. An emptiness. Looking into her eyes, it was almost like peering into a vacant house.

"You were impressive today. I haven't seen anybody fight as you did for many years."
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.
"I can still smell the fresh scent of your slaughter. How sweet it is."

"If I could lift a blade, I would cut you down where you stand, demon", Marcius states weakly.

"I do not doubt that you would try"
, laughed the woman.
"And that is why you intrigue me. What is your name, soldier?"

"I am Marcius Ovidius Valentius. Captain in the 13th legion and loyal soldier to Rome."

Marcius did not wish to tell her anything, but it was almost like he was compelled to do so. Looking into her beautifully dead green eyes, he could not help but answer her.

"Well, Marcius...you are on death's doorstep. I can smell it. You haven't long for this world. But...I can change that. I can give you what you wish for most."

"And what is that?"

"Life", she cooed as she knelt down next to him.

Marcius' thoughts turned to that of his family in Rome. The family he would never get to see again. And suddenly this devil-woman's offer didn't seem so bad if he would be able to hold his son for the first time.

"Very well."

The woman smiled warmly as she caressed his cheek with the back of his hand.
"You made a wise choice, Marcius."

Then, with a growl, the woman sunk her teeth into Marcius' neck and the world slowly faded into darkness...

I've got some waiting to do before you guys catch up to the time I'm running...

My guy's completely oblivious to the battle going on over the Eradicator... Was going to write something and just realised I'm ahead of the regular time curve at the moment with my guy sleeping, heh.

Thanks. I've felt out of the groove with my other characters but at least I've gotten my Michael posts out without regret.

I'm planning on getting some posts in tomorrow/Sunday. Sorry for the lack of posting over the last week, I've been very busy with work and it's kinda been driving me nuts. But I'll be getting some posts in, both Icon and Shadow Walker

Well... I'll get to work on mine and hope one of the characters lines up with what I'm planning to put together...

Finally got a new Icon post up. Things seem to be picking up over at the Eradicator.

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Goddess
Alias: Formerly known as both "Queen", and "Françoise Beaumont." Only goes by Goddess now.

Speech Color Century Gothic purple

Character Alignment: Villan

Identity:N/A

Character Personality Goddess is hellbent on restoring her full powers and increasing them, by any means necessary. Corrupted by the forces she yields, it has also led her to become quite arrogant, and even sadistic, enjoying the pain she inflicts on others, or causes others to do in her name. Manipulative, she's not above forcing people to convert to her "religion" or destroying them for fun. Many view her as possibly mentally imbalanced, most likely due to her corruption and extreme empowerment, and extreme depowerment. She does not view herself to have "peers". Just subjects, heretics, and masses.

Uniform/costume: Long golden blonde hair, fair skin complexion, most of her face hidden behind a butterfly themed purple masque, the eye holes pitch black. She wears a long sleeved, full shouldered, neck encompassing white and purple dress, mutliple layered, almost like a thicker wedding dress, complete with a section much like a clothed corset to allow the dress to flow from, and over it, a large red cloak, trimmed in black, held together at the neck by a circular piece of gold, with a swirling circle engraved to it.

Origin Info/Details: Born Françoise, Goddess was a commoner groomed to be brought in to the noble's court, where she eventually was accepted, and from there, was chosen to be married to the noble. The noble himself was a great magic user, who fought demons and healed the sick. As his wife, Goddess went as well. Eventually, Goddess began to despise death, fearing it even, as she couldn't save everybody. In a particularly alarming outbreak of a ravenous plague in several remote areas, Goddess and her husband went to heal them, with the Goddess contracting this plague herself, facing death. Rather than succumb, she summoned a demon to trade her body's space, and a favor in the future, for everlasting life instead, corrupting her. Healed, and forever youthful, Goddess set back on her work to heal and survive, but now felt she was just not powerful enough. And so she started amassing more and more power. Consulting dark arts and demons, bonding their powers and beings to her own, furthering her corruption, turning her desire to stave off death into a twisted view of power to replace death, so it can never claim her. From there, she sought to become a magical god, and succeeded for a short time, until a grouping of powerful magicians, priests, and others from far and wide sheared her power down, and sealed her within an amulet, to be worn by a great magician to forever contain her power, and eventually purify and use it. However, one demon did manage to cling to Goddess, the first demon, the demon who allowed her to continue living. In the modern age, she has been released by a group of magicians who failed to understand the forces being released. Goddess, however weakened, returns to her original task: To amass power, rule reality, and replace all power with her own. (Shortened and dumbed down IMMENSELY to make it fit better).

Hero Type (Select one): Mystic

Power Level (Select one below): World level/formerly cosmic level.

Powers (Be Specific): Master spellcaster, capabe of using most types of magic to an alarmingly trained level. Capable of summoning lower to middle class demons with little effort, and can summon larger class demons with rituals and spells. Sealing magics she's not as particularly talented with, but can utilizing branding magics (she can "brand" an individual to obey her commands like a thrall, but requires quite a bit of power to activate and maintain while in use. No worries, I don't plan on using this on more than just a few random passerby's, and not on players unless the player and I talk about it and junk first. +P), destruction magic, healing magic, dimensional magic (to some degree she can warp space here and there, or even teleport, which is more or less an extension of her summoning magic), fly and levitate, and cast illusions. She can also "summon" weapons and artifacts she has collected inside of her shroud, but it's only regular weaponry, as it requires consistent magical spending to simply keep them contained on her persons, and typically used to spill and absorb blood. She can also use defensive, and augmentative magics. She can utilize "Quickspeak" spellcasting, which uses much more of her internal magic, but allows her to bypass long spell chanting in the matter of a second.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level:Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Her speed is normal human, however, her reaction time is fairly good, given the nature of her abilities.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Four hours maximum depending on the spells used.

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: While bright, she's fairly average aside from magic, where she's a naturally occuring genius. -Somewhat- understands technology, but doesn't much.

Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources: Resides in the former castle, which was populated. It has a pool she can use as transportation to and from, a large library of magical spells for her to study, a lab for her to do her alchemy. The castle itself is traced with defensive spells, from moderate sentries, to detonation spells. It's also filled with several latest technology gizmos, however, Goddess doesn't know how to operate them, and doesn't seem to try to.

Weaknesses : Goddess' primary weaknesses is the lack of power she once possessed, and the fact she's mortal, with regular human reactions and strength. Usually relying on multiple forces to shield her as she casts spells. She also needs to eat, and drink. (If those are really weaknesses. =P)

Supporting Characters : Goddess has a cat familiar she endowed with a partial immortality spell (she can only use the spell with the demon attached to her), it can talk, is fairly smart, and very durable. All others she's known or loved have either expired due to old age, are in her "employ", or were killed by her in exchange for more power.

List a few reasons why you've created that character:
Leave me alone, I'm drinking! :cmad: j/k
This looks like fun, it struck a creative cord in me, I wanna join in.
I'm a big fan of multiple people playing in a single game.
I'm far too used to being restricted to a computer due to my job, and now that I got free time, I dunno what else to do with it. =/

What can you bring to the RPG?: A villan. Ha. >=D

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yah.

Sample Post :

The Goddess did not see the point of this baffling look offered to her from this bafoon ever since she walked into the dirty, smelly food service establishment. As well, she was also quickly losing her patience with him and his annoying little green hat. Goddess grimaced, coming from a time where people snapped to, responded immediately to her whims and commands without faltering, and most importantly, did not look her directly in the eye. This young man, however, could not manage to fulfill even one of those guidelines, and the mercy of the Goddess was wearing awfully thin with this lack of respect.

To ease the idiot's tongue, Goddess raised her right arm from beneath her cloak, her gloved right hand making a pointing gesture with her index and middle fingers pointed straight out in line with the young man's head, and remained silent, the young man beginning to freak out a little more.

"I...I-I don't know what you want..." his voice was cracking, the stress on him palpable, his forehead showing sweat now. Of course, the scene was not lost on the room, with many people looking at the flamboyantly dressed woman with faces ranging from shock, to laughs, to sneers, not understanding just who it was they were watching. If anything, this aggrivated Goddess all the more.

The manager pretty much stomped his way into the conversation, "WHAT the heck is going on here?" the manager demanded of the woman, who turned slightly to what could only be assumed as looking at him, the black voids in her mask giving no clue as to what her eyes even looked like, much less told where they looked.

"The waste imp wanted me to actually -pay- for a peasant's gruel, which isn't even good enough for the horses I'd poison it with normally," was all the woman said, her voice thick in the accent of French, her voice low and demanding, even condescending.

She then grinned,
"Duchet" and with but the single word spoken, her extended arm, almost seem to have the air swirl around it, as a slightly growling tone filled the room by just a whisper, and the young man's head began to glow brightly, followed by the bang of a small explosion. Much like pressure released in the great white flash, a fine red mist shot it's way onto person, food, and wall alike in the room, and a thump of a lifeless, headless body hit the floor. Goddess lowered her arm back beneath her cloak, her own body not touched at all.

"Perhaps, Peon, you'll be more respectful of the Divine's commands?"
