No real sequence so far, Icon gave a short speech. Michael showed up and accepted membership into the team. The cat is out of the bag as far as that's concerned.

Identity: Secret/Known Known

Character Personality: Confident, like most Jocks, but also got a taste of the real world so he's grounded. He knows what it's like to have the world on the tip of your fingers and blow away in the blink of an eye. He can be a kidder at times, but when the world starts to go to pieces around him, he can be the glue that holds his family together. He's very different than most 19 year olds in the fact that he understands the value of a dollar, coming from a family with a single mother, and doesn't cut corners very often. His experience with celebrity life has changed him. While he still obliges with the autographs, he sometimes wished he hadn't have become public with his identity.


Origin Info/Details: Matt Byrd was the star wide out at Central City High in Chicago, signing a scholarship to play for Florida his whole like was set, until the last game of his high school career. A slant play and one bum knee later, Matt now works at a local machine shop trying to forget about his glory days. Short on cash, Matt volunteers for an experiment conducted by Frytech on regeneration. After a shot of the experimental hormone, Matt's knee not only repaired itself, but his whole body grew muscle mass and adapted to fit and add on his natural speed, enhancing his reflexes and reaction time to superhuman levels. Phillip J. Fry, owner of Frytech, sees this as an opportunity and markets Matt as The Blue Blur, The Midwest's Fastest Crimefighter! Since then, The Blue Blur has become one of the world's biggest heroes, he's fought a video game geek, a giant dinosaur monster with Mantis, teamed up with Survivor in an effort to stop a roving gang of Disco fiends. It's been close to year since he first became a superhero. As his popularity starts to rise, things with him and Jennifer are starting to get serious as their inevitable wedding looms on the horizon. Top that off t.v. execs nosing around the Frytech studios, begging for a reality show starring Blurry. The future for Matt is so bright, he's going to have to wear shades.

Weaknesses: While he's fast, Blurry is still squishy. He can be harmed if he's caught.

Supporting Characters: The best damn supporting cast in the CAH, Anita Byrd: a Chicago Police officer. Jennifer Jones: Matt's fiancee. Phillip J. Fry: Owner of Frytech and contributor to The Blue Blur's campaign on crime. Dr. Brown: Resident medical advisor to Blurry and creator of the serum that gave him his powers. Bruce and Johnny: Technicans on the Blue Blur team, two of Blurry's friends, rapid comic geeks.



Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I played him last season. Hell, I came close to winning the Best Hero award for all the RPGs. I got to come back.

2. Well, it's very rare one gets a chance to play a character they created.

3. See 1 and 2, that's really all I got.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: A kinda veteran of the RPG scene. As well as a new hero with boatloads of potential.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As much as I can.

I'll have a post up in a bit. Like Spike, I'm going to have Kensei just be among the crowd. Not really his style to make a grand entrance or speech.

Once the service is done, I'd like to just make Kensei's intentions of being part of this team known to Icon or Archangel. Whatever one of you two who feel like doing some brief interacting.

Yeah, Fontaine's pretty much in the same boat. Doesn't want to be caught on camera in what could be an internationally televised event and have people back home realise that this guy is out of town, undoing all of the work he's put in.

And I must say I get more pleased with being able to find my own niche for him with every post Spike comes up with for the Survivor, there's more than a few key differences in there to stake his own place and character.

Makes things interesting too, having seemingly similar yet contrasting characters in the same place... both have social sides to them which leave much to be desired.
Locke as permanently gruff, Fontaine as generally quiet but so overrun with thoughts that he usually would keep to himself that the second he's found some people he thinks he could relate to he just unloads and doesn't shut up (must like this descriptive point).

Locke completely and utterly philanthropic, Fontaine largely using his second life primarily for that and not wanting to attract attention by rocking the boat too much with his other identity (although he's taking a big risk now coming up...)

Locke alone because he prefers it, Fontaine alone because he generally believes that is the way it has to be (and now both slightly adjusting to to both the possibility that they could still function in a team as well as coming to terms the fact there are others who do as they do)

Contrasts the dark, cynical sides to them, where one can't feel pain and the other can't be permanently physically harmed (with the one who can't feel pain adapting to healing faster than normal because of the scenario he puts himself in and the other who heals rapidly is less restrained by the pain barrier because of the scenario he puts HIMSELF into).

Good stuff...
