So, uh, I've been working on something per request of a fellow RPer and he's given me permission to show these designs off as a sort of teaser. Cannot say any information but I simply HAD to flaunt this ****. :O

:wow: Oh snap, crackle, pop! Nice!

I'll probably have an IC post up tomorrow night. Got school work to plow through until then.

Damn you, trusty! You will not seduce me into returning as Mantis by showing me the coolest design for an anti-Mantis villain I've ever seen! (Will...fading...)

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Joseph Nelson
Alias: The Guillotine (AKA The Guillotine Killer)

Speech Color: Times New Roman, Bold, 2, Orange-ish

Character Alignment:Villain - Crossed the line, but doesn't see himself as a villain but as a blade of justice

Identity:Known. Serial Killer, so known of but not generally recognised by the public.

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Terrifyingly cold, calm serial killer. Researches and seeks out his victims as he seeks out rich, "fat cats" living off of the fat of the land. His parents home was foreclosed along with many in his town when massive layoffs happened at his father's work despite the company clearing record profits, Joe was forced to live with relatives in Maine where his uncle frequently molested and abused him. Joe's fragile mental state eventually shattered and he killed his uncle, fleeing the home before his Aunt returned home.

Joe blamed those who he saw as breaking up his initially happy family for the incident and began picking off the main Public Enemies. Brokers, bankers, financial workers; he cut a path through all of them literally and figuratively as he travels South from Maine. Young, confused, somewhat socially awkward and terrifyingly cold.

Picture a younger version of Ralph Fiennes' character "The Tooth Fairy" in Red Dragon.

Uniform/costume: Frequently disguises self as a worker; butler, janitor or servant, to research potential victims. Micro-hero I might suggest blue denim overalls with a knife.

Origin Info/Details: Hup... I inadvertantly mentioned that above.

Villain Type (Select one): Lector-esque - Grey-matter and deceptively strong due to his psychosis

Power Level (Select one below):

1. Street Level (Ex. Punisher, Daredevil)

NOTE: Having only one or two powers does not automatically make a character a level 2. The levels reflect how powerful the powers themselves are, not only the variety. A level 3 may be more powerful then a level 4. These levels serve to show where your powerful hero operates, as heroes this powerful may be cosmic wonderers or Earth-bound. Also, Game Masters will be wary of approving level 3 or 4 characters. An extremely well-thought out and great sample post will be needed to be approved for a high level character. Your post should be as powerful as your character.

Powers (Be Specific): Nil.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Untrained yet experienced

Resources: Minimal - Drifter/serial killer

Weaknesses: Psychotic. "Has a weird look about him" which doesn't make him any easier to trust.

Supporting Characters: Deceased

List a few reasons why you've created that character:
1. A cold calculating serial killer would fit in well.
2. I just watched the Hannibal Lector 3 again and it put the thought in my head.
3. I think its interesting to have a character who plays on the villain end of walking the line, rather than the hero.

What can you bring to the RPG?: A villain-side of "Walking the line" who'll play it with subtlety.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yes

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue): Will do.

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Sean Abbott
Alias: Mantis

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Green Tahoma (Sean) / Bold Green Tahoma (Mantis)

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality: Sean is still young enough to be pretty idealistic. He truly believes in a world where evil is always punished and good always prevails. He's dedicated to his 'work' as Mantis, and nothing can sway him from the mission. At the same time, though, he doesn't allow himself to get too serious. He can appreciate the fact that he's dressing up in green tights and beating on thugs. There's humor in that, and Sean embraces it.

Origin Info/Details: Sean was born with latent genetic mutations, but they were unactivated. One day, after smoking, chemicals in his bloodstream jumpstarted those mutations. Sean's abilities manifested, and it freaked him out - naturally. He was more than content with trying to live a normal life, but when tragedy struck home (in the form of his girlfriend's accidental death) Sean realized that life was too short. If he could do something to save other people his pain, he would. Thus started Mantis.

Hero Type: Acrobat

Power Level: 2. City Level

Powers: Enhanced reflexes, increased agility, increased flexibility, super-jumping, superstrength, ability to stick to walls, enhanced eyesight and hearing, bone-like blades that extend from his forearms.

Attributes:

Strength Level: 20 tons.

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 60 MPH.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours.

Agility: 15X Human level.

Intelligence: Average.

Fighting Skill: Trained.

Resources: Minimal.

Weaknesses: Sean's a high school kid. His life is already crazy enough without the superpowers and the crimefighting. As such, he can have a hard time juggling everything. Also, if his enemies were to ever learn his identity, so much of Sean's life would be at stake. Like most heroes, Sean is determined to save lives - even at the cost of letting the bad guy get away.

Supporting Characters: Sean's closest confidant is his best friend, Jim Harrison, who also happens to know Sean's secret. Sean's girlfriend, Brooke McFadden, does not know his secret - which can get Sean into trouble. For some time, Sean has tried to rekindle a friendship with Vince Daniels - an old friend who hasn't had much time for anything other than school. On the flipside, Sean has been trying to get away from Marilyn Freel, a possessive ex-girlfriend with a serious attitude problem. Sean also has another friend, Abby Smith, who moved away six years ago. Sean is very close with his sister, Vicky, as well.

Mantis's contact in the Carver Lake Police Department is Sergeant Hampton. The two have a tenuous partnership which helps keep Mantis out of the police's crosshairs.

List a few reasons why you've created that character: Truth be told? Mantis was my personal version of Spider-Man. I wanted to make a superhero character, and not intentionally - though not accidentally - I created one with all the typical Spider-Man traits: youth, humor, bad luck, spider-like powers. However, I've since realized that I love Mantis for Sean and his supporting cast more than his alterego. Sure, he's still a superhero, and I still have fun with that, but it's his interactions with his friends and family that I really enjoy.

What can you bring to the RPG?: Intricate coming-of-age stories with realistic characters at the heart. Oh, and I'll kick some criminal butt now and again, too.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?:

Sample Post:

I need a theme song.

Okay, okay, it seems like a silly thing to be thinking about while I'm running around the city at night, but - I mean - c'mon! Tell me it wouldn't be sweet to have a theme song? Like, any minute now, some crime's going to break out, and you know what my grand entrance will be? I'll just show up. If I'm in the mood, I might throw out a quick one-liner. But that's it! Whereas if I had a theme song, I could burst onto the scene!

Man, I am so bored. Is this really what I'm thinking about? Theme songs? I have a chemistry test at the end of the week, and I'm trying to reword showtunes to incorporate the words 'Mantis,' 'crime,' and 'dreamy?' Well, Sean, I'm glad to see you have your priorities straight! I mean, it's not like your alien friend came to you and warned you of impending doom.

Oh, wait. Yes. Yes, she did. I have an alien friend, and she warned me of impending doom. As you can probably imagine, it was quite the upbeat reunion. Would I have preferred to discuss who we'd want to win American Idol instead? Of course! But it wouldn't be a day in the life of Sean Joseph Abbott if there wasn't impending doom!

"Wow. I am bored," I announce aloud. "For the love of all that is good and holy, please let there be a crime to stop."

Wait. What's that? Sirens? Oh, boy! Sirens!

That's probably wrong of me to say, right? Oh well! It gives me something to do! I look to the heavens, point, and say, "Guess I owe you one, Buddy."

Lololololololololololololol.

Thanks, guys. I was given guide-lines for colors and on some characters the poster wanted a few things tossed in but those were a ton of fun to create. The ones you wouldn't think to be that hard were actually really hard.

Those are fantastic Trusty, I love 'em.

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Victor Vidi Palazzo
Alias: The Reaper

Speech Color: Red Times New Roman

Character Alignment: Villian

Identity: Secret

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Suave. Smooth. Silky. These are the words would describe Victor Vidi Palazzo, one of the most trickiest, slick SOBs you'll ever know. As Victor, he's persuasive, appealing, and ambitious. As the Reaper, he's scheming, murderous, and not to be trusted. He desires to have total control and power, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
Uniform/costume: As the Reaper, he wears a plain red mask with a black and red suit and red gloves.

Origin Info/Details: Palazzo had a rough childhood, growing up in the merciless Hell's Kitchen of the NYC, where gunfire and police helicopter blades roared throughout the nights, troubling resident's slumber. Being half-Italian and half-Spanish with a mostly Italian dialect, Palazzo was often teased for his foreign accent and his frequent use of Spanish and Italian. Palazzo started to plot revenge on his bullies using his great intelligence but knew killing them wasn't the way. That was his mentality until his parents were gunned down by the New York Mafia for unknown reasons. That's when 16-year old Victor started to exhibit strange but powerful abilities and by the time he had gotten his ph.D in Business from Oxford, Victor had unwordly psychic abilities and secretly "demonstrated" his powers on the New York Mafia, killing them in ways that puzzled authorities and worried mobsters. Victor had reduced Costa Nostra to almost nothing by 1995 but decided enough was enough and focused on his businesses, becoming one of the wealthiest men alive with his ambition and persuasion skills as he created one of the profitable military weapon developing companies and investing in Google and Youtube when they started up. Despite being so wealthy, Victor desired even more, more power. When the alien crisis occurred, Victor saw a giant oppurtunity flash infront of his eyes and became the monster known as the Reaper. And as he often implies, there is no limit to what one can desire as such there is no limit to what one can achieve.

Power Level (Select one below): Psychic

3. World Level
Powers (Be Specific): Telekinesis, Can project images into other's minds, Can shut down one's nervous system and kill them but it tires him out, Immune to Telepaths, Expert Guns and Swordsman, Fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English, Very Wealthy, and has about 200 followers that escaped from prison after the alien crisis

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: 100 tons telepathically but Normal Human otherwise

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Speed is normal but reaction timing is peak human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: 10x

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Extreme
Weaknesses: Has all the same weakness as a normal human, just harder to take advantage of these weakness cause of his powers. Also, if he uses his powers for too long, they'll shut down for about 2 hours. That is why he often wields a gun, sword, and knife.

Supporting Characters:

Julius Stone: An ally of Palazzo's who has ultra super-strength and speed, even to superior to Icon's. Palazzo's calls him his "partner", while he takes advantage of Julius often. Makes an imposing figure at 7'3, 500 pounds.

Dr. Halbert Worthington: An archaelogist who posseses quite a few secrets Palazzo desires.

Drake Delatore: A Britsh and Italian expert swordsman who is one of Palazzo's top cronies but asks a whole lot of questions.

List a few reasons why you've created that character:
1. He could truly endanger the world.
2. This RPG needs another villian.
3. I want to take advantage of the rebuilding process from the alien crisis

What can you bring to the RPG?: A truly psychotic criminal mastermind who seeks total control.

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

" Mr. Palazzo! What a pleasure to see you! How may I help you--

An enormous black man stampedes through the southern wall of the bank, taking the civilians and workers inside by suprise while Victor Palazzo swiftly snuck out the gaping hole made by his partner in crime, Julius Stone. Men dressed in a strange black attire started to flood into the bank, holding the frightened citizens captive while Stone prepared to crash through the vault, opening the way for Palazzo's cronies to collect the money.

" Time to smash this baby in!!!" Stone exclaimed before blasting into the vault door, revealing a numerous amount of green paper littered on the ground.

Suddenly, the sound of clapping comes from the opening left from Stone, where a man in a plain red mask and a red-and-black blazer stood with a confident pose. " Well done, boys. This is quite a job well done. Now haul the money into the trucks quickly before the cops stall us. " The mysterious man walked into the dark New York night, leaving behind confused faces.

" You heard him! Hurry, you fools!" Stone hollered out commands at the men in black and they swiftly loaded the money into the numerous obsidian trucks parked behind the bank, but not before the police arrived with a mission of justice. But the cunning Palazzo, who had found his way into the back of one of the trucks, started to pour a trail of gasoline as they attempted to shake the cops. When the moment was right, he tossed a lit match onto the nearly invisible gasoline and watch fireworks fly. He just laughed as they drove into the pitch black night, cop cars aflame and people scared for their lives.
( Not the greatest start, but just trying to get on my feet)

Sorry about not posting last night guys. I'm hoping Kensei is still in the park, cuz I thought he and the Survivor could have a quick chat (in flashback posts at this point, naturally). But I can't catch you on MSN, JB! Raarr!

There's already a villain in the game using the name Reaper, but if you change the name of your character's alias, then there's no reason not to approve you.

Are you referring to an NPC villain named The Reaper?

I'm on now, if'n you want to talk shop. And I'm all for doing some more interacting before I have Kensei travel back to Japan.

Hate to do this, but I've hit a roadblock with Flux, so I'm going to focus on just Mantis for now.

So the one chick that's on the team is an NPC now!? :cmad::csad:

...Wait, the one chick that's on the team is an NPC now. :awesome:

Well, you know... She is an alien, so I don't think staturatory rape laws apply to her. :awesome::up:
