It was so nice, the forum had to post it twice.

So I'm kinda interested in getting into this game.

Is there anywhere I can get a quick rundown of the universe/canon?

First there was darkness.

And then there was light!

And then there was darkness again.

And then things went plaid for a while.

And then Chuck Norris and Doctor Doom had an arm wrestling match...

Damn you wieg.

This post is to funny for me to be mad.

It's no wonder everyone had to take a break from the game to recover.

Okay, so, I know Gods are not allowed.

Are demigods (half human/half god) allowed?

Okay, so, I know Gods are not allowed.

Are demigods (half human/half god) allowed?

I wouldn't see why not.

And as for the universe/canon: the biggest and most recent event was the Invasion arc which involved an alien race called the Arlaaekans invading Earth and causing all sorts of hell, including obliterating several major cities and blowin' up a chunk'o'the moon. Many superhumans banded together to defeat them. After the battle was over, the some of the superhumans decided to make their partnerships permanent by forming The Guardians (basically this RPG's version of the Justice League or Avengers).
Then we jumped ahead a few months (6 I think? Probably a little more than that by now). Earth is midway through the process of rebuilding, the Guardians have an HQ in Lost Haven and there's all sorts of crazy stuff goin' on (though nothing that effects everyone like the Invasion did).

Okay, cool.

The whole rebuilding thing would actually play perfectly into my origin.

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Desmond Rhodes
Alias: Cerberus

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Century Gothic

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality: Desmond, much like his father, Hades, is grim and morbid, though incredibly loyal to those that gain his trust. He rarely makes lasting relationships with anyone other than his mother, whom he loves with all his heart.

At school, he is a loner, other than his best friend Penny. The two have been inexplicably drawn to each other since the day they met.

Though this loner attitude is purely Desond’s decision. He is a handsome boy, and is often the target of girls’ crushes at school.

Uniform/costume: The best way I can describe it is it will be much like Blade’s, but underneath the long, leather trench coat, he’ll have black, Greek armor, and he’ll wear a very Spartan-like black helmet.

Origin Info/Details: On a trip to the world of the living, Hades, one of the Gods of Olympus, was struck by the beauty of a young woman, and laid with her, conceiving a child. Hades revealed who he was to her , and begged her to keep the child, believing that the baby would one day grow into a great hero, the likes of which have not been seen since the days of Heracles and Achilles.

Karen Rhodes, the mother, named the newborn baby boy Desmond, and Hades granted the mother and son unlimited wealth as a way of compensating for the boy not having a father. But Karen did not bring the boy up in a lavish palace. They lived a middle class life, even though they could be the richest people on the face of the earth.

Desmond grew up a lonely and aloof child. He would often be seen loitering in graveyards and outside hospitals, obviously attracted by places that death surrounded. He made no friends, and those that tried were often scared off by the boy’s morbid fascinations.
One thing Desmond did love and enjoy was fencing and the martial arts. He trained with the best available teachers, and was a master combatant by the age of 15.

At the beginning of high school, he met Penelope Avalon, and instantly the two became the best of friends. His mother hoped he was coming out of his shell, but he still only associated with Penny, and no one else.

During the alien invasion, Desmond began to notice changes occurring in rapid succession. He seemed to be getting stronger by the day, he was able to catch a fly with ease, and he was more agile than ever. More importantly, or shocking, was that he could see and hear the dead. Every time a city was destroyed or a group of people were snuffed out, Desmond could sense their souls heading to the afterlife.

Now, as the rebuilding continues, the pantheon of heroes is about to receive another ally, and Hades will send one of his minions to train his son to be the hero he’s destined to be.

Hero Type: Supernatural (Demigod, Son of Hades)

Power Level: City Level

Powers: Being the son of a God, Desmond was granted with extraordinary powers that he has only now begun to grow into. His strength, agility, and reaction time are all at super human levels, as all demigods.

On top of these, Desmond also gains the specific powers of his parentage. As the son of Hades he’s empowered with the strength of the Underworld. He’s able to summon hellfire at will, and cannot be burned by earthly fire. He also gains the ability to conceal himself in shadow, transport through shadows, and to construct shadow constructs as offensive weapons. He also gains a small power over the Earth, and is able to open up small fissures, or create small tremors.

Desmond’s most important power, however, is that of Necromancy. He is able to summon the dead to do his bidding, including fighting for him, being his watch dog, or spying on his enemies..

Just to be clear, he hasn’t been trained in any of these powers as of yet, nor can he use them to anywhere near their full potentials. For example he can only shoot a few fireballs or summon one skeletal warrior to aid him. That is why I listed him as a street level.

Attributes:

Strength Level:
50tons

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 30 MPH

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours

Agility: 15X

Intelligence: Average

Fighting Skill: Mastered (unless this bumps me up to a level 3, then it’ll be Trained).

Resources: Extreme

Weaknesses: Des’s powers weaken during the day, due to the fact he is technically an agent of the underworld. His superhuman strength and agility are decreased, and he cannot shadow transport or use his abilities to make darkness constructs. His necromancy is also weakened.

His fire powers are unaffected.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

Karen Rhodes, his mother. She obviously knows of Desmond’s descent, but has yet to tell her son about his father. She is a loving mother, and one of the two people that Desmond trusts completely.

Penelope Avalon, his best, and only, friend. From the moment the met when the two of them reached high school, they were instantly drawn to one another. Penny often sticks up for Desmond when boys pick on hi at school. She is by all standards a beautiful girl, and is a cheerleader at school.

Chiron “The Trainer of Heroes” Chiron will be introduced to train Desmond in the ways of a hero, and how to control his powers.

Hades. I don't plan on having Desmond's God father be introduced for a while.

List a few reasons why you've created that character:

I saw the commercial for the Percy Jackson movie. I have no idea what the series is like, but the idea of a Greek demigod living in a world of superheroes really intrigued me. And on top of that, I wanted to make him be the son of the Underworld, making him a very unconventional hero.

What can you bring to the RPG?: I feel like I am a decent RPer, with a very interesting character to bring to life.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yes

Sample Post:

I swing the front door open and plop my book bag in the hallway and head up to the kitchen for a snack before I hear mom’s voice come from the living room, “Des, is that you?”

“Yea, ma. I’m starving I’m going to grab something to eat,” I respond opening up the fridge and grabbing the second half of the Subway sandwich mo had last nigh. I unwrap the sub and stuff my face.

“Oh, well, could you come down here once you do that? I have something to tell you,” she says. She sounds worried, or nervous, which worries me.I hurry down the stairs, my cheeks still full with sandwich.

“Ebery fing-Hey…” I say swallowing the huge bite at the sight of the gigantic man sitting on the couch across from my mother, “who are you?”

He stands, towering over me, and offers me his hand, which I shake, “My name is Chiron, Desmond. And we have a lot to speak about.”

And, Hound55, as I mentioned since the logo is so hard to capture at such a resolution, I wanna show you the MicroHero without the logo:

Finally got a short Icon post up, headed over to GHQ.

And Trusty, great job as always with the micros

Sweet. I think Icon and Blurry can take down that ****ing Angel *****ebag by themselves.

Here's Cerebus:

Whoops, I did not pay attention to your color font which might've been what you wanted for his primary color. Here are two other varations with that color now in mind:

Personally my favorite is the one with blueish-purple and red.

Character you have created: Johnny “Six-Shooter” Turner
Alias: The Six-Shooter

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Bold Brown Verdana

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Turner's a guy that's been through hell and back, and acts like it. He doesn't care much about anything other than getting the job done. He tends to not be bothered much by the unusual stuff anymore, and was a loosely religious man when he was in his first life, but now fully acknowledges it.

Uniform/costume: Turner wears a white shirt, brown waistcoat, black trousers with a belt, large black boots, a long dirty black coat and a black tattered cowboy hat. He has two Colt Peacemaker revolvers holstered either side of his belt.

Origin Info/Details: Johnny Turner was a soldier for hire in the Old West, helping those who paid high enough. One day, Turner found himself in a new town, to find it was being ran by a corrupt Sheriff. Turner decided to take down the Sheriff, and took a shot at the law man, wounding him. Unfortunately for Johnny, this didn't go down well, and before Turner knew it, he had three bullets in his chest.

Buried outside of town, Turner was to remain in his grave for over 100 years. In the year of 2010, Turner was chosen by those of Almighty Power. Risen from the dead, and made invulnerable to all mortals, Turner was chosen to guide the good spirits away to their place in Heaven. Of course, there was those that wanted to claim these souls.

The agents of the Devil, often called Minions, made up of those with the darkest souls. Though Turner may be invulnerable to mortals, he can be struck down by the evil soldiers. Entrusted with what he likes to call “soul bullets” that can kill a demon, Turner now finds himself in the city of Lost Haven, escorting it’s good citizens to a higher plane.

Hero Type (Select one): Supernatural (Divine agents, Vampires, werewolves, Cosmic deities)

Power Level (Select one below): Cosmic Level

Powers (Be Specific): Invulnerable to mortals, a Divine Agent and can turn invisible to mortals at will.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 4 hours. (Characters at 5 hours or more fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters)

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Average

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Average

Weaknesses (If your stats chosen are deemed powerful enough by a Game Master with no weakness, the character will fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters. Even with a weakness, a Game Master may rule it as a Level 3 or 4 character): He can be killed by a Demon or other kind of evil being.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

- Lytton: One of the higher beings, who teaches Turner how to be a Divine Agent.

- Carter: A soldier from World War II, who is now a Divine Agent alongside Turner.

- The Divine - A group of people gifted with powers from the Gods (they’ll come into play later on)

List a few reasons why you've created that character: He just seems like a fun character, that I came up with almost by accident. He’s grown and developed, and I’ve grown rather fond if this guy.

What can you bring to the RPG?: Somebody’s who has been thinking of a character to join for so long, that I’m pretty much devoted.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: That I do

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

Some big corporate building. Hundreds of large offices, with many little cubicles in all of them. I hated these places. They’re so…small. Of course, I had to be here. Thanks Lytton. All I had was a man gone crazy. Gun. Easy figure out the rest.

“I’m gonna shoot!” shouted a middle-aged man, gun pointed at his co-workers.

“Just calm down…” a woman said from the crowd of terrified co-workers.

“No!” he shouted back, gun shaking like crazy.

They couldn’t see me. That’s good. They’d probably be confused why somebody from the Old West was standing in the room. The clothes always confused them less when they’d been killed. Guess it was the least on their minds. The crazy guy wasn’t my problem, it was whoever he killed that would be.

A woman stepped forward from the group, the same one from before, and slowly walked forwards, hands out towards the gun.

“Come on…just drop it…” she muttered as she neared it.

“NO!” the armed man screamed, squeezing his eyes shut and firing, the power of the gun making him stumble back.

It was sort of obvious he’d never fired a gun before. It was kind of funny. I looked down at the body of the woman and shook my head despairingly. I look up to her stunned spirit and offer a hand out to shake.

“Howdy. How was death for yah?”

“Wh-h-…who are you? Are you the Grim Reaper?”

Everytime. Are you the Grim Reaper? Do I look like a heap of bones in a cloak?

“Just call me Six…” I sigh as I lead the way to the door of the office.

Lytton had only given me a rough answer to where the door was, as usual. He had to be more precise. As I stood in the corridor, the elevator in front of me and the woman opened. Inside, a couple grey gormless dead faces of the Minions stood facing me, one with a modern pistol, the other with a mace. What a variety.

“I suggest you keep your pretty head down,” I warn the woman as I pull out my revolvers and aim them at the Minions. This’ll be fun…

The app looks good, the only thing is that there is a character established in the game that's called The Reaper. But it's really only a minor detail

If you can change that up alittle, you're golden.
