By the way, any of you guys are free to use Spectre if you want. When I introduced them, I intended on them becoming the HYDRA/Kobra/generic-bad-guy-organization of CAH.

Create a Hero RPG SEASON III Application

Character you have created: Wonder Boy, Sidekick for Hire

Alias:Kit Carson, semi-professional street performer, former heir to the Christopher West fortune.

Speech Color: Comic Sans MS bold, Royal Blue
Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality:
A smart-alleck with a real penchant for quips and off-color observations, at least on the outside. However, Carson excells in spite of himself. Suffering from an almost crippling inferiority complex, he still considers himself a 'sidekick' even as a grown man, still judging himself by the standards of the hero he used to idolize.

However, his years spent outside of the costumed-adventurer lifestyle have brought him down to Earth, and have loosened up his formerly rigid personality.

Origin Info/Details:

Equal parts street-wise and book-smart, Kit Carson spent his childhood in one of the meaner streets of Brooklyn, where his impoverished family was regularly terrorized by the rampant gang violence and the resurgence of organized crime. Most of his earlier years were spent either in the library, giving himself the education that the school couldn't, or in the school-yards and back-alleys bloodying his fists on whatever bully was out to get him that day. He was growing up fast and growing up mean...

...until Captain Wonder blew into town.

More of a novelty adventurer than the superhumans that would populate Lost Haven years later, Captain Wonder brought an amazing array of gadgets and gizmos to take on the criminals of New York. What was even more incredible, however, was his unshakable morality, and his optimism that was infectious through the crime-ridden streets. Though he never had more than fifteen minutes of fame outside the city, in Brooklyn he was quickly becoming a legend.

Carson was just starting to like the city’s new favorite son, when tragedy rocked his life. At age twelve, a violent firefight between warring gangs spilled into his neighborhood, and his mother and father were caught in the crossfire. Orphaned and traumatized, Carson bought a gun, and planned to use it on the gangsters who took away his family.

Captain Wonder stopped him, and showed him a better path.

Taking him in as an adopted ward, the costumed hero revealed to Kit that he was in fact billionaire philanthropist Christopher West, who was using his vast fortune and his years of study and adventuring to help those who needed it. For two years, West trained Kit in dozens of studies, from martial arts and forensics, to public relations and improvised acting. His lessons were unpredictable, the learning curve impossibly steep, but Kit was eager to pick up on anything and everything Captain Wonder had to teach him.

At age fourteen, Wonder Boy made his debut in the Big Apple, rescuing the Captain from minor villain Doctor Mayhem, and taking the mad doctor down almost single-handedly.

For the next three years, the duo took on gang bosses and crooked cops, not to mention costumed lunatics who put on a gimmick just for the sake of getting a shot at them. Every day Captain Wonder imparted more wisdom to his protégé, and every day Wonder Boy came closer to being as good as the hero himself.

And just as suddenly as Captain Wonder had come into Kit’s life, he was gone. After a triumphant battle with ‘Bull’ Dozier and the Demolition Crew, a lone sniper with an atomic bullet, from a rooftop half a mile away, caught the hero in the back of the head. Wonderboy searched for months to find out who or why, but the killer was never found.

Since Christopher West mysteriously disappeared at approximately the same time as the hero’s death, it was too easy for his company’s slick legal team to freeze all of his assets, divide up his fortune, and cut his ward out of the proceedings. Robbed of his inheritance, Kit managed to sneak away with as much of Captain Wonder’s gadgets as he could, and destroy what he couldn’t bring with him to protect West’s identity.

At age seventeen, Kit Carson was alone again.

For the next five years, he traveled up and down the East Coast, trying to fight crime anonymously, but he could never handle it on his own. He was still a sidekick at heart, but with no hero to help, he was useless. Unable to keep a steady job and already educated past what any school could offer, he instead became a nomadic street performer, subsisting on the tips of the same people he used to fight for.

Not too long ago, Kit heard of familiar-sounding stories coming out of Lost Haven. Costumed super-humans, good and evil, battling it out on the streets and above the rooftops. This would be where he could do some real good again, find the right hero to complete his training...

...and with no other real source of income, maybe make a few bucks along the way.

At age twenty-three, Kit Carson packed up and moved to Lost Haven, with Wonder Boy’s old gear in tow.

His first outing in the city was also his last, as while he was trying to save lives during the Arlaaekean Invasion, he was hit by falling debris, severing his spine and paralyzing him from the waist down. He was in traction for nearly a month, and told by the doctors who treated him that he would never walk again. Kit was resigned to live the rest of his life in a wheelchair....

....until he woke up two weeks ago and discovered he could walk again.

Whole once more and with a new lease on life, Kit is faced with a difficult choice: play it safe and avoid the costumed adventures that have robbed him of so much? Or finally put his talents to good use, discover who healed him and why, and save some lives that otherwise wouldn't be saved?

Either way, all those bills that have been racking up since his arrival in Lost Haven haven't been paying themselves...

Hero Type (Select one):
Normal (Non-powered characters)

Power Level: Street Level

Powers:

Wonder Boy has no supernatural powers, but relies on several high-tech gadgets and inventions from his old days, including a costume made of lightweight bullet- and fire-proof fabrics, a fusion-generator on his belt buckle that powers a skin-tight forcefield (but only as long as the battery holds out–about two minutes), various grappling hooks and bolas, and a pair of retractable billy clubs. He has several more heavy-duty weapons and armor locked away in a storage building down the street from his apartment, but charges extra when he uses those.

Aside from the gadgets, he is an extremely adept martial artist and agile gymnast, a brilliant detective and whiz with computers, and even a pretty good cook. There’s not a lot that he can’t do, especially when the pay is good enough.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Super-Genius

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Large (at least when it comes to his own equipment and blueprints)

Weaknesses:

Trained or not, he’s still a normal human being, with normal human weaknesses. Aside from that is his limiting inferiority complex, still thinking of himself as just an assistant and not willing to go it alone. On top of all that, he can’t afford to replace any of his equipment, let alone buy new ones. Even with the blueprints from Captain Wonder’s command center, a lot of his own gadgets have to be jury-rigged from everyday items.

Supporting Characters:

Kit has been alone for quite a while now, his parents and Captain Wonder killed years ago, his hyperactive dog Ribeye having disappeared during the invasion. The only company he gets now is from his landlady, the surprisingly attractive Sallie Foster, and sadly most of her visits are about how he is going to catch up on his rent.

List a few reasons why you've created that character:This was originally a character I’d created for a series based in my own Millennium City RPG universe, so bringing him into CAH will be a good exercise to really get into his skin before writing the series itself. Aside from that, sidekicks are a lost art among superhero lore, a bit of it that’s almost always overlooked or laughed at even by hardcore fans. Wonder Boy is meant not only to bring back a little prestige to the woefully underappreciated world of sidekicking, but also to go through the superhero experience from another set of eyes. Also, it’s just fun.

What can you bring to the RPG?:

A unique character that’s tailor-made for interacting with the other super-folks of Lost Haven, and a knack for character-driven stories. Also, I make a Velveeta-and-chili nacho dip that will knock you on your ass.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?:

"What a mess."

That's the best I can manage to describe what I see. In the fallout of the moon's destruction, Lost Haven is--for lack of a better term--losing it. The places hit by falling debris are either completely obliterated or falling apart just slowly enough for the people inside to realize it. Even the places that weren't hit are tearing themselves apart, the hysteria causing widespread looting and rioting. And I haven't even gotten out of my neighborhood yet.

Leaping rooftop to rooftop, I do what I can, chucking down tear-gas canisters to disperse rioters, swinging down on a grappling line to take down the odd crazed mugger before he even knows what hit him. No time to make witty banter or even handcuff the bad guys; I just keep on moving, the adrenaline pushing me to keep going.

I'd forgotten how exciting moments of pure, unbridled horror can be when you actually have the guts to do something about it.

As I make my way up the street, I see a crew of firefighters trying in vain to put out a burning apartment complex. I hoof it as quickly as I can (I have got to get the bike out of storage), and see that while most of the people inside have been evacuated, there's a man and woman still pointing hysterically at one of the upper windows. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that their kid is still inside.

I make it to the nearest rooftop and leap, firing a grappling line as I go, and swinging right over the crowd's heads. I hear one of them call out to me, but can't quite make out what she's saying, as a second later I crash through the window and into the burning building.

I roll forward to slow my momentum, and before I come up, I pull the rebreather mask from my utility belt and put it on. My mask's goggles switch to an image filter, dimming the blinding brightness of the flames while still cutting through the smoke.

"Hello?! Anyone still in here?!" I call out. Down the hall, I hear a muffled scream. I leapfrog over some wreckage from the next floor up, and follow the girl's scream to a closed door. I knock twice and then call to her again.

"Are you okay?"

"Wh-who are you?" she asks from the other side of the door.

"Someone who's here to help. Can you move?"

"I'm okay. Are you a fireman?"

"Not really, but I'm helping them."

"Are you...are you a super-hero???"

"...kinda, yeah. Okay, I'm gonna open the door here, so when you do, I want you to stand back from the door and get low to the ground. Okay? On the count of three. One, two, THREE!"

With that, I kick the door in, and see the girl, huddled in the corner with a doll. She can't be more than eight years old.

"All right, we're gonna get you out of here, okay? Your parents are already waiting for you, so I'm going to take you to them. Ready?"

"I can't! I'm scared!"

I crouch down to one knee, and open my arms, trying to get her to trust me. Meanwhile, I hear a support beam begin to crack. If I don't get her out soon, the whole building will come down on us.

"I know it's scary, but you're gonna be brave. You're brave, right?"

Tears streaming down her face, she nods, and clutches her doll a little tighter.

"That's good. Now just hold on tight, and hold your breath, and we'll get you to your mom and dad."

I reach out, and she takes my hand. I pick her up, and charge as fast as I can through the flaming room, dodging and weaving between debris, before leaping out the window.

With my free hand, I fire out another grappling line, and we safely rappel down the side of the building to the street. The onlookers cheer as they see I've still got her in my arms. The girl's parents just barely outrun the paramedics to take her, and I do what I can to herd everyone back to a safer distance.

"Oh, thank God! Thank God for you, man!" the father says, pulling me into the big group hug.

"It's okay, it's okay, it's what I do," I say as I try to pry myself free. Seriously, the guy has a grip like a gorilla.

Finally, the big teary moment is interrupted when another chunk of space-debris streaks overhead, slamming into the pavement a few blocks down. Everyone jumps, a few people scream, and then all eyes look to me.

"Is...is this the end of the world?" the little girl asks me.

I look around at the smoldering skyline...and then I see a blue blur zipping its way through the streets, apparently pulling people out of harm's way as it goes. And I can't help but grin.

"Not if we can help it," I say with as much of Captain Wonder's old bravado as I can manage, before I shoot a line up to a nearby rooftop and I'm off once again.

seeings as this got buried on the last page....

ok...I know I've been talking about getting an app up for another character for awhile now...but I was delayed due to a hard drive crash...but here it is...

Create a Hero RPG SEASON III Application

Character you have created: Alexander Anderson, Director of STRIKE
Alias: None

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Dark Blue Veranda

Character Alignment: Walking the Line(for now)

Identity:To the general public, secret. Known to top level politicians

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Alexander is cold and calculating. He is generally distrustful of meta humans and is willing to do anything he has to do in order to keep the population of the US safe from these beings that he sees as nothing more than menaces. As the Director of STRIKE, he has access to nearly unlimited resources, and he is willing to use it all to do what he believes must be done. However, above all he is a patriot, having fought for his country nearly all his adult life. Though his days as a soldier are over, he continues to fight using the resources at his disposal to make sure that the American way of life continues.

Uniform/costume: Generally, he wears nothing but the best designer suits. However, he does occasionally like to wear a military uniform to remind those around him that he is not above getting his hands dirty.

Origin Info/Details: Growing up in a small suburb of Cleveland, Alexander Anderson always wanted more. It was because of this that the day after he turned 18 he met with an Army recruiter and soon after joined the United States Armed Services. Anderson excelled in every aspect of his service to the United States, serving first as an infantry soldier. During a routine checkpoint stop, Anderson noticed that one of the men inside was acting strangely. The man began pulling at the shirt he was wearing, trying to get at something that was being concealed. Without thinking, Anderson fired into the vehicle, killing the man and his accomplices. After searching the vehicle, it was found that the man had been trying to reach a detonator to a bomb in the trunk of the car, which would have killed not only those inside the vehicle, but there was enough explosive material to vaporize everyone within a quarter mile radius. Anderson's actions not only saved the men in his immediate vacinity, but dozens others living and working in the surrounding areas. For his actions he received several distictive honors, not the least of which was the Congressional Medal of Honor. Anderson also gained a certain amount of recognition within the Armed Services, and was eventually recruited for a covert black ops group tasked with taking out high risk targets.
On one such mission in the jungles of South America, Anderson came face to face with a meta human for the first time.
While working to assassinate a former drug lord who had elevated himself to leader of a militia that had overthrown the legitimate government of a small South American country, Anderson's unit was attacked by a man who had the ability to control electricity. Using his gifts, the man single handedly eliminated Anderson's entire unit, except for Anderson himself, and his best friend Marcus Ryder. With Ryder's help, Anderson was able to eliminate the meta, as well as the would be dictator.
After returning to the States, Anderson and Ryder were debriefed on the events on South America, and then were offered new roles in the US Military, working for a new organization that had been put together to deal with just the kind of "hostiles" that they had dealt with in the South American jungle.
Anderson accepted the position along with Ryder, and together they worked for nearly 20 years to keep the existence of Meta humans, as well as the agency known only to a few as STRIKE a complete secret. Eventually, Anderson worked his way up the ladder of the organization, at first as a field agent and then an administrator, until attaining the office of Director. With his vast resources, Anderson has continued fighting a war that began over 20 years ago in a remote jungle in South America, and has spread all over the world. A war he knows we cannot afford to lose.

Hero Type (Select one):
Normal (Non-powered characters)

Power Level (Select one below): While he has no super powers, he does control one of the largest agencies in the US Government, so I'd say World Level.

Powers (Be Specific): None

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Normal HumanSpeed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal HumanEndurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Mastered

Resources: Extreme

Weaknesses : He is a normal human

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):
Marcus Ryder: Best friend and former partner. Ryder is Anderson's right hand man, and still often works in the field to make sure that the nature of STRIKE's business remains a secret.
Elizabeth Powers: Anderson's personal assistant
Other agents, metas, politicians, and underlings which will be described when used.

List a few reasons why you've created that character: Since the first season, STRIKE has been a major influence in our universe, yet the organization remains a mystery. I'd like to use this character to bring some of the inner workings of STRIKE to light, and possibly make it into the force that it could be.

What can you bring to the RPG?: an interesting character who can really shake things up.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yep

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

From behind his desk Alexander Anderson reviews the events of the last several months, and begins to feel sick. For over twenty years he has worked tirelessly to protect the people of America from the threat posed by these so-called "metahumans," both from the creatures themselves, as well as the very knowledge of their existence.

The emergence of public "heroes" such as The Blue Blur and Icon has been somewhat problematic, it was nothing that could not be handled. Afterall, the American public, as well as the rest of the world loved their self appointed protectors, so for the most part STRIKE had no need to interfere directly with their activity. The organization did however, keep close tabs on the known metas. But since the alien invasion, the superhumans have apparently come out of the woodwork. The US government even sanctioned a team of so called superheroes, "The Guardians."

And that is a problem.

He has worked so hard for so long to protect the country that he loves from the threat posed by the metahumans, and his own government is suddenly bankrolling a group of them because it is the right thing to do politically at the moment...regardless how foolhardy it is. To give a group of self appointed protectors a blank check to do whatever they want with nothing to regulate them, no real way to keep them in line, is a monumental mistake.

A mistake that is going to cost alot of lives. And that is something that he will not stand for.

With a press of a button, Anderson's computer screen shows a video feed of all the recent metahuman activities all over the world, as well as a superimposed map of the world showing any new reports of meta activity. And as he sees the growing number of incidents involving super powered beings, his stomach turns. He knows that with each and every new incident is another defeat for STRIKE. It is this thought which brings about another, and before he can fully explore this new thought, the buzzer on his desk goes off.

"Yes, what is it Ms Powers?"

"Sorry to disturb you Director Anderson, but Mr. Ryder is here to see you."

"Very well, send him in."

With that, there is a buzzing sound and the door to his office slides open and Marcus Ryder, Anderson's best friend walks into the lavish room. Anderson and Ryder have been partners and best friends for over twenty five years. They have fought side by side and survived many situations together that would have claimed the lives of lesser men. Above all else, Ryder is the only man on the face of the earth that Anderson trusts completely.

"Marcus, what have you brought me?"

Ryder reaches reaches under his vest and produces a folder, tossing it on Anderson's desk.

"See for yourself, Alex. Afraid it's not good news."

Anderson briefly scans the report inside the folder before putting aside.

"It doesn't matter."

"Sir?" He says, unable to keep the surprise from his voice.

"It doesn't matter, none of it. We've been at this for a long time, Marcus. And the whole time that we've been dealing with these freaks, we've been doing so with kid gloves. But I think that it's time to take those kid gloves off, to stop dealing with these things as if they're your average criminal. It's time to take these 'people' for what they really are...monsters. I've decided that it is time for STRIKE to take a more proactive role in dealing with the superhuman threat."

Anderson smiles as he meets Ryder's gaze.

"Marcus, it's time for STRIKE to show these metahumans just what we are capable of."

You're right, I missed the app when you first posted it, even though I've been anticipating it ever since you told me you were gonna put a new one up. :csad:

Approved.

Been trying to do a little catching up before starting as Wonder Boy. Has anything really been established with the Spectre organization? Like, has anyone seen their leader or whatnot? Because if not, I may have a few plans....

I'd have to do some rereading myself, but I don't think so.

Spectre is little more than a name-drop on my part, at this point. They're responsible for the villains Marxist and Concrete, but that's about it. Again, I left them intentionally vague so that they could develop into the evil power in this game, so have at it. :yay:

Excellent. Gives me all sorts of ideas to play with....

But first, gotta start actually posting as Wonder Boy again.

got a quick post up tonight. I'll have some more stuff tomorrow/friday. Still don't have a car, and I'm gonna be off Friday so I'll have plenty to do...

Origin Info/Details: A 20 year vet of the Lost Haven Police Department, Inspector Ed Smith is one of the Haven's top cops. Five years ago, Chief Finger approved Smith to form a "Mob Squad". Essentially, they kidnap would be gangsters setting up shop in Haven, take them to a run down motel, and beat them half to death before sending them home. He does this for two reasons. The Irish burg of Lost Haven. Turf for the McCreery Family, one of the Haven's five organized crime syndicates. While the Zano's specialize in money laundering, smuggling, and prostitution, the McCreery's are strong arm men, making their money off protection rackets and the drug trade.

Francis McCreery is the clan's leader, he's dumb as a rock and fat as a cow. In his sixty years on the planet, he has never done a decent thing for anyone other than himself. If I could, I'd put a bullet between his eyes. It's all I can do to sit across from him in his family owned pub.

"So, the Zano's want to talk to me?" He says in his slight Irish brogue. As a second generation immigrant, he's picked it up from his parents.

"That's correct. They sent me here as a peace offering. I understand the bad blood between your families. The war 10 years ago took your oldest son and Zano's youngest. The Zano's wish to put that to an end and work with your family."

"What's in it for us?" He asks as his wife brings him a plate of chopped up meat only an Irishman would like.

"The Zano's are highly influential, as you can see by who they chose to serve as a message boy. They'll work with the local politicians and police to get them off your back and help you in your drug trade."

"What will he have to do?" McCreery asks as he shovels the food into his mouth.

"The Zano's are in need of some muscle. They need help with unruly customers at their ****ehouses and maybe a few protection rackets. I'll let you two hash out the details at the meeting tomorrow."

"I assume you'll be coming?"

"Yes. Me and my two officers will be there to make sure things don't get out of hand."

"Aww. My heart ****ing feels for you. I don't understand you, Smith. You're a goddamn hero cop, but yet you're as dirty as my ****e of a daughter."

"I'm not dirty,"
I say with a scowl.

"I just tolerate scum like you because I see you as a necessary evil. If you don't control Lost Haven's rackets, someone else will. I know you, I have files on you. I know how to manipulate you and pull your strings. Not just you, but all of you dumb criminals. You think you control this town, but you don't. I snap my fingers and you get twenty years and get knifed in jail. Remember that next time you call me dirty."

I grab McCreery by his collar with one hand, and grab a pile of the shepard's pie with my free hand and shove it into his mouth.

"Eat up, slimeball. Hearts and kidneys are good for the body."

I push out from the table and stand up while he chokes on his food. I'm out of the pub and into the backseat of the unmarked car with the Eckling twins up front.

"I'm done here, boys."

Okay, I want to get re-involved in this game, but I'm not ready to pick up where I left off with Mantis or Citizen. I'm going to pursue other avenues - everything's sorta in the "inkling of an idea" phase - and once I find a concept I can latch onto, you guys can expect an application.

I'll try and get something up tomorrow. Haven't been able to since promotion, then the thing I did write just didn't mesh properly. Got another angle for it now though...

Hey guys, had some unexpected company tonight. I'm still gonna try to get something in tonight, but if not I'll definitely have something up tomorrow.

Quick Director post up. I'll have a Shadow Walker post, and possibly an Icon post up alittle later

I figure I would need to re-apply at this point to pick things up where I left off....

Chapter 1...

-The spectrum of light contains the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in that order...

As the Goddess of Light and her champion traversed through a portal she had created, the tall, elegant beauty and the boy that accompanied her had both found themselves in a brightly lit hall as elegant and beautiful as the goddess herself.

"What is this place?"

"Behold, Blacklight... The Hall of Light."

"Wow..."

The Mistress looked down upon Blacklight while he was amazed by the Hall's vibrant atmosphere. Even his grandest of travels paled in comparison to where he stood at this very moment.

"Amazing... But why did you bring me here?"

"I already told you before, we're here to introduce you to a group of individuals I've handpicked to help you on the quest you are about to embark on."

"Oh yeah. This 'team' you were talking about... Well where are are they?"

"Here..." the Goddess replied as she waved her hand, and in a flash of light instantaneously a group of seven heroes had appeared before Blacklight's eyes.

Blacklight couldn't believe his eyes. This group the Master of Light wanted him to lead... was him. Or rather, seven of him.

"Blacklight... meet the Blacklights from alternate dimensions. The one standing closest to you goes by Redlight."

"Nice to meet you, Redlight." Blacklight greeted with an open hand to shake.

"Whatever..." Redlight simply grunted, not even bothering to reciprocate. He seemed angry for some reason, but Blacklight digressed and moved on.

Jon turned to to Redlight's right and headed for the Blacklight with the funky swirl-patterned costume and the orange and black baseball cap.

"Sup. I'm Orangelight. Bit hokey I know, but it sounded good at the time."

"Nice to meet yo--"

"I know what you're thinking. Deja Vu times seven right? Well don't worry about that pal. You ain't the only one seeing septuple here. Heh. Get it? Septuple? Seven? Oh man do I crack myself up sometimes..."

Moving to their left, Blacklight and the Goddess of Light stopped at the next Blacklight. The one dressed in yellow.

"Greetings. I am Yellowlight." the yellow garbed Blacklight greeted with a bow. A bow of a person that had a deep respect and understanding of the martial arts. That would explain the ninja-like appearance of his costume.

"It will be an honor to work alongside you."

"Thanks. Likewise."

Next, Jon approached the Blacklight in green armor.

"Greenlight." he said with a quick handshake.

"What's with all the weapons? That's like 3 times as many as I have..."

"I have a knack for 'em. What can I say?"

The next Blacklight's costume featured something the others' didn't. A mask. Something that made Jon wonder why he would need a mask, for changing his hair and eye color worked sufficiently enough in his opinion. Maybe it was the stealthy and tactical setup of his suit? There were a Liefield-esque amount of pouches...

"Hi. Name's Blacklight. You are?"

The blue Blacklight simply grunted, brushing Jon off.

"Silent type?"

"It's Bluelight." he stated calmly, with a gravelly voice reminiscent of Chritian Bale's Batman.

"Good to meet yo--"

He simply raised his hand to him before Jon could continue to speak, effectively ending the conversation. That's two Blacklight's now that gave him an attitude. He could already tell that there was going to be problems.

Two more Blacklight's to go, so Jon moved towards the one with his hands on his hips in Superman fashion, his cape flowing valiantly.

"Hello, fellow crimefighter! My name is INDIGOLIGHT! Defender of Enferno!" he shouted in a more sterotypical heroic manner, with his head tilted back a huge grin on his face.

"Uhh... Hi..."

"Godspeed!"

Finally, he walked over to the one in the far back. The one in the futuristic looking techno-suit with glowing energy conduits on the shoulders and the chest, the chest one shaped like the upside-down prism symbol that they all shared.

"Lemme guess? Purplelight?" Jon assumed from the pattern that all his alternate universe counterparts followed.

"Incorrect. Being that the last color in the specrtrum of light is classified as 'violet', your assumption that the purple coloring of my suit leads to my name being 'Purplelight' is thus proven false. I actually go by Violetlight. Not only because it's scientifically more accurate, but it also rolls off the tongue better."

Quite the mouthful there, Jon thought. This must be the 'intelligent' archetype of the group assembled he assumed.

"Excellent. Now that introductions have concluded, we can move to the dire matters at hand."

"Sweet! What's our mission, boss lady?"

"You are about to take part in war that's been raging for eons between myself and the forces of Light..." she began as a hard-light construct formed in front of here in the shape of a demonic figure boasting a huge sword.
