So... we can actually create our own teams?
What does that do when let's say one player has a team of five when interacting with others?
Is one the PRIMARY character? or are all characters primary characters? (or at least can be with a little devoted time).
It almost sounds like at most times (and it reads that way too!). The CAHverse is, in essence (Correct me if I am wrong). Like running our own comic (Story segments/Round Robin).
Then we have crossovers (minor or major) and world Crisis's, which involve everyone?

G7

P.S. Thanks for the Approval on Golden Pharaoh!

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Treat the CAHverse like a comic book. Flamehawk and his supporting cast are the crux of your story, but every now and then there'll be a crossover with someone else's character if you so wish. And occasionally, there are RPG-spanning events which you can choose to participate in - much like how comic books have tie-ins to major stories.

I'm glad you included everybody rather than just single my rather brilliant performance out. I don't want to outshine everyone too much, otherwise the game wouldn't be fun for the other players. That's the reason I post so infrequently.

Yeees...that's the reason... :awesome:
Pfft, you spend most of the time playing with yourself in the corner (the other "REAL" reason your balls hurt all the time) until randomly having your director harrass Anderson with alcohol fueled calls at 3AM on a weeknight...

The rest of us just kind of shy away and hope you'll put on pants.

Except Byrd. Byrd's glad you're not wearing pants...

Wait...that's why they hurt?

Huh. Guess I'll just have to get used to it.

Well. You guys have fun with all of that. LOL
-----------
Okay... about to post my first Story Segment.
I decided to bump it back to a past/prelude thing. Though I would love to rush in and flat out intro Flamehawk and Golden Pharaoh. I have to do the origin build up stuff, Plus Golden Pharaoh is going to be in play. So I might as well start with the one that is first.

OH... and one word of warning. I tend to write very long segments (Though this first one isn't really all that long for me).
If this bothers any of you. PLEASE let me know.

G7

It's not a long post until you have to start second guessing your choice of words and start adding apostrophes to fit it into the maximum character limit...

That or split it into two posts... but that's just crazy talk.

Can anyone give me the low-down on how the Gods of Myth have been being used in the Game? and which ones?
I am talking about the African - Native American - Australian Aboriginal - Celtic - Egyptian - Germanic - Greek/Roman - Hindu - Japanese - Lithuanian - Mayan - Norse - Slavic - etc.
Particularly have there been any use of the Egyptian or Greek/Roman mythos?
Is Cerberus the only active character attached to any of the myths? (Greek: Hades)
I haven't gotten through all the storyline segments of the third season of CAHverse yet. But I did see a character named 'Thora'? I think. Are there any more Gods of Myth related characters (Irregardless of what side they are on).
I just have a keen interest in such characters and stories involving them (As I am going to show why the Egyptian Gods are not popping up all over the place and causing whatever chaos I am sure they are capable of).

Are all of the Heroes/Neutrals/Villains on the list (including the Mock Comic Covers) The active ones?
Is there a definitive list of ALL characters from the game?

Probably a lot of pretty big questions, I know. But these are subjects of interest of mine and I DEMAND THAT YOU... ummm I mean I would appreciate it if you could help me out.

Thanks
G7

The list/text roster is the list of active characters. Sadly, that is not 100% update.

The pictures of the MicroHeroes where you see what characters look like show a list of characters that have existed since the game first started. Some are heroes and villains characters played and others are characters people used a lot as NPCs (at least half of the villain MicroHeroes).

I make the MicroHeroes and edit them in I am a tad behind on them but they take time and depends on my motivation and how easy it is for the design people desire.

That is cool! I definitely appreciate that! If only a handful or even two are missing. That isn't a whole lot of characters.
So the NPC villains can be used? (Though I assume permission should be asked before going hog-wild! Because I see at least two foes that appear to be active characters of a player).
I have played with the designing Micro Heroes before. I can make up both Flamehawk and Golden Pharaoh, so you don't have to (I have SKILLS! LOL).

I also have mad mapping skills too! Wanna see what I feel is possibly one of the best fictionally made up modern cities ever? (and I have seen a lot of Modern City Maps).
Take a look. I don't think any of you are going to be disappointed.
http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?13127-Metro-City...
It is already in use elsewhere. So I highly doubt I would ask to bring it into the CAHverse. But it is a fun place (The Write up/Key to it is huge HUGE!).

ANYHOW... enough of me attempting to steal Wiegeabo's abilities at "brilliant performance" away from him... for now... LOL. *wink*

I still need the above questions answered if possible.
I have a concept about the Gods of Myth and their origins (What the heck they are in relation to humans) that I want to insert in some manner, so long as it isn't disruptive for anyone (Which I highly doubt it would be). It is not an (massively) important aspect mind you. It certainly has little relevance to what they were (Historically) or are (and what they have done). It will just go a long ways towards explaining them.
So more than likely some of my storylines will explore those aspects of the CAHverse (umm once I firmly establish my characters that is - but I figure tapping into the subject now before I simply just throw it in your laps is the better part of valor - Fail to plan... Plan to fail is my motto!)

SO... if the above questions (in my post before this one) MUST!!... err could be answered. Again it would be appreicated.

NPC villains can be used - given their creator's permission - but you are by no means beholden to that list. Make some of your own. Wow us. :yay:

Also, Hell of a nice job on the map. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want you to map out Lost Haven some day.

Finally, regarding gods & mythology, really only the Greek gods have been touched upon. I mean, unless you count Christianity - which is obviously a huge part of Archangel's story.

To make things as pleasant as possible since your character is of Egyptian Origins I would recommend that you only establish whatever you wish with the Egyptian Gods and religion. That way anything else you loosely or strictly establish with other deities will not affect future players should they choose to make a character tied with the Norse or Mayan Gods or something of the sort.

Just my two cents, I think that would make things easiest for you.

So the NPC villains can be used? (Though I assume permission should be asked before going hog-wild! Because I see at least two foes that appear to be active characters of a player).

I would strongly suggest you use your own I included and created MicroHeroes for NPC Villains as a treat for the players and myself: just another way of seeing our own thought out creations.

If you see a villain you want to know more about and use post in this thread and someone will give you the rundown and either give permission or not. Not all of those villains have been introduced yet into story by their creators so likely that creator has an arc in mind to introduce them.

----MYTHICAL GODS----

I agree with you whole heartedly, TrustSK.
Well then maybe I will do a proposal as I want there to have been some sort of war between a bunch of Gods. Not necessarily a "War of the Gods" ala DC Comics that occurred in this Universe as the characters know it (Likely in some 'Elsewhere place or dimension'). But a big ole fight between the Egyptians and the Greek/Roman ones that devastated the majority of the Egyptian Gods... (and likely a lot of Greek/Roman ones - trust me. There are plenty to play with. There are 125 Gods in the Egyptian mythos alone).
Which was why I had brought it up in the first place (Discussing it before implimenting aspects of it. Because what if someone has plans for someone. Even if it is a throwaway plan for the moment? I wouldn't want to step on someone's creative enegies by taking the wind out of their sails).

Far as making up villains... just wait. I have a Plethora of villains I have wanted to put in story scenarios. I just saw a few foes on that Villains list that have some sweet-ass looks to them (and appeal to me visually).

I will take your advice very strongly, TrustSK. I'll play out my end of it with the Egyptian Gods... and simply work whatever eventual storyline I have in mind for later (Discussing it with whomever feels seems it might affect).

------LOST HAVEN-----

I really like your City's general layout. Don't think from the moment I saw it that I wasn't almost immediately getting my own visual of the place (Particularly after reading some of everyone's incredible story segments including it. Just simply fun).
I have a HUGE love of Fictional Cities. Though I still love places lilke New York, SF, LA, Chicago, Detroit, Etc.
Though Fictional Cities seem fairly simple at first. When you think about it in length. They are a busy body of work to try to map out.
Not just the physical view, but the elements of history and prominate stand-outs in it, let alone when you start considering key figures there (Such as Police Commissioners, DA's, Judges, Mayors, Fictional Buisnesses and Corporations). IT gets very BIG very fast! LOL
Just out of curiousity. Is there a Key to Lost Haven? (Like where Hero bases are, Your Government organizations, Primary Police HQs, etc).

See... I told you all I was full of questions (and Ideas). Heh!

G7

By "key," do you mean landmarks? Well, the only one I can really think of off-the-top of my head is Tartarus Island, which is where the supervillain (and regular person) jail is located.

As far as the Battle between Egyptian Gods and Greek Gods, I'd talk to Eddie Brock and Carnage27 as they are the only players at the moment to utilize that mythology. They're both great to work with and I'm sure you guys could figure something out.

Basically, the key points of the city are Tartarus Island as EBJ said, and Central Island, which is kinda like our own Manhattan. We haven't exactly designated a specific location for City Hall, Police HQ's, Guardian HQ (the superhero team base) or anything like that, we mostly just say that such and such event is taking place at this specific location. Though, that is something that I've been thinking about for awhile.

We also have Sherman Square, which is like our own Times Square and other areas that have been set up by individual players.

Thanks for the Heads-UP!, NMS.
Yeah ditto on what NMS said. Though it is rare to go wrong with a winged character (It does happen). All of your designs keep pulling up aces!

Sup all, sorry for the serious lack of posting. I slowed down on my posting on a lot of games recently but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things so to start off. I'm going to get up a Youngster post along with a Spartan post. God knows I been dieing to write the fight between Spartan and the Daughter of Thunder. So hopefully within the next hour or so both post should be up.

Oh no that Majestic is my cousin on my fathers side twice removed. We only share the same name.

Okay... one of those types!

ANYHOW...
You mentioned the Daughter of Thunder in your post here.
Does that mean your using the Asgardian/Norse Gods?
Just curious. Saw the pic of the Daughter of Thunder. Awesome. Did you do it?

G7

The only one i have been using is Thora later down the road i was going to use Thor being that's her father. But other than that it was just going to be just her.

I didn't draw her but i did Photoshop the pic. Cut her out and put the Thor background behind her.

This is the MicroHero of Michael's new design with his angel-fire sword. I never had the old design shown with it since he rarely used the sword but my latest post explains why he would use it more now:

Ummm with the Moon being shattered.
Does it affect the world's weather and tides? or are we simply using Comic-Pseudo Science to say everything remains the same?
