I still dont understand why him blinking is even a thing. I used to teach kids karate...they punched me all the time and it never phased me but I might still blink.

Superman feels things...that is ridiculous. You don't only react when things cause you pain I am sorry that just isn't how physiology works. (or emotionality...he could also be reacting to how people are reacting to him in that moment) Especially from behind he might react involuntarily.

Like I said 5 year olds used to punch me all the time. Never once did it hurt or even sting. (it usually didnt regsiter unless they went low ) Sometimes I still blinked. Does that mean I am not an adult Black Belt?

Yeah, I agree. Within the established fictional/fantasy rules of the DC universe—because it's not hardcore sci-fi we're talking about here—it's long been known that Superman can experience certain sensations like normal humans, and that's precisely what's happening here. He's responding to the sensation or feeling from the hit. He isn't in pain. lol

Haven't been able to get onto the site since the trailer dropped so looks like I have some catching up to do!

But I AM SO HAPPY.

The trailer delivered literally everything on my wishlist and more. I have been re-watching incessantly and go back and forth between giddy laughter and tears of gratitude.

Not all of them are biased idiots, some are for sure but there are others who are legit, honest journos. It's kinda like cinema nowadays, there are tons of movies coming out throughout the year but it's up to you and me and all of us to be discerning and choose (carefully) which movie(s) are worthy of our hard earned money and in order to do that we have to do some research, read reviews, watch trailers etc....
For me personally I follow journalists like Chris Hedges, Glenn Greenwald, Abby Martin, Kim Iverson and the team at Re-dacted. It took me a good part of 2 years and A LOT of trial and error to narrow it down to those mentioned because, as you said, there are a lot of clowns online playing journalists.
To bring all this back to Superman, I find it ironically funny - or maybe 'risible' is a better word - that people often talk about Superman being irrelevant when even CK's daytime job, which was once an afterthought, is now a topic of endless debate and discussion. Yeah, Superman will continue to live rent free in the minds of all those who doubt his relevance and I'm all for it.

It doesnt look like a tv show. I’ve not seen any tv show that looks like this.

I think what it really is that people are chaffing against is the same thing thats been plaguing MCU movies since 2012 and its that clean digital look where the color is washed out, the blacks are greyed out and it just doesnt look as cinematically appealing as say, Dune, or The Batman, or Godzilla x Kong. (To use other recent Warner Bros movies as examples

But the look of this movie is not tv level. (And btw TV actually looks pretty damn great these days lol)

All I can say is that I think the movie looks good and has the right idea behind the story. Whether it works or not will be seen when it comes out. But the trailer gave me a lot of hope that this will be really good.

In the comics, after Oliver Queen died, Hal Jordan as Spectre stole a single one of Superman’s cells. He did it while Superman was weakened. And Superman still felt it.



If he feels a single cell leaving his body, I’d say that he feels a sensation from a can being thrown at his head.

Seriously. I just hope getting repeatedly burned by Snyder hasn’t soured the public on Superman as a character entirely. It’s sad how much damage a bad iteration can do to a character. I still have friends who refuse to watch the Netflix MCU Daredevil show because of how bad the Affleck movie was. I’ve given up trying to explain that the show is NOTHING like that stupid movie.

A weakened superman feels a single cell leaving his body stolen by The Spectre of all people....I dont put that on par of a coke can.
