My only compliant is, they don't seem to be giving us the lesser known character films most of us want to see.
Films like the question, booster gold, deadman, captain atom, etc.
I don't really care about Sargent rock or clayface.
And I'd love to see a Lex origin film pre Superman. It Could be done relatively cheap.
No offense, but picking the wrong obscure characters to adapt is a strange thing to get upset over, IMO. For example, I don’t care about Clayface or Sgt. Rock AT ALL, and so if they get movies before Wonder Woman or Batman, then that rubs me the wrong way. But if they get movies before Phantom Stranger and Captain Atom? I mean, why not? I may like the latter two better, but if Gunn is going to adapt some of DC’s lesser known heroes and villains, I think the most we can hope for is that he eventually gets around to the ones we care the most about (which will obviously vary from person to person quite a bit). To be clear, when the Clayface and Sgt. Rock movies started making headlines, I didn’t really understand why Gunn would prioritize either of those. But I also don’t know why he would prioritize movies for the Question or Deadman either. It’s not like those characters are a guaranteed slam dunk in terms of box office success or even being good movies. I’m sure there are some fans out there who have been clamoring to see those characters adapted, but not so many that Gunn should feel a need to scrap his more immediate plans so he can get to them first. Superman, Batman and now Wonder Woman being prioritized makes sense. But I feel like the more obscure characters can be rolled out whenever he feels ready to do so.
