The Dark Knight is one of Batman's most iconic "nicknames". It's been around for years and years. They'll realize it sooner, rather then later. Especially with the teaser. As well as the posters which should infact show the bat emblem. Which also isn't that difficult to recognize.

At this rate the next to eventually be cast is Harvey. Though I wouldn't be suprise if we get more then one. Like how the title and the confirmation of Ledger came in one report. It was reported that production would begin early next year. So it's likely that as that day draws closer, we'll be hearing more casting news.

Seriously though, they say they were the first to report Routh would be the new Superman and the first to report Ledger would be The Joker.

Not officialy but I saw an interview to Cain were he said that one of his proyects for the future was Batman Sequel.

Caine and Oldman are signed for sequels. Freeman is likely to return as Lucius, as well as Holmes returning. Though there hasn't been any confirmation exactly about the actors reprising their roles. Goyer was asked before if a lot of the cast members from Begins were returning.
