i read somewhere that she actually didn't quit acting, and she and the rest of the begins cast are coming back for tdk.

Q. Thanks Clint for all your SD comic con scoop.
Your news about Katie Holmes back for the Batman sequel is leaning on the truth because I thought that she's quitting acting but the news today says watching MSNBC Hollywood News, Extra and ET-Insider that Katie is making a movie comeback with her meeting CAA agents and a couple of directors getting to choose whatever scripts she's interested. I’m glad to know that she's not giving up her career because I liked her work in “Batman”, “Pieces of April” and “The Gift” (you're the man, Sam Raimi) and even “Thank you for Smoking”. But I hope this Heath Ledger news is a joke because Im not laughing about this.

Costume Change?
Author: Jett
Friday, August 11, 2006 - 9:57 AM CENTRAL TIME: Got this in a few days ago, and after verifying this insider does what he says he does, I decided to post it for all you BOF‘ers --
“Greetings BOF! Love the site!
I thought this bit of news may be of interest to you and your readers. I work in the UK...and would be considered as being part of the ‘crew' [on a film]. What I’ve heard rumoured is that the new Batman costume may be altered a bit. The appearance will not change dramatically, but will be lighter and sleeker than the one in ‘Batman Begins.’ It may also be constructed to look more like heavyweight fabric and armour than rubber. I shall let you know if I hear more.
If you use this, call me '007.'”

Hmm. Interesting. While I loved the BEGINS costume, I could go for a few sublte changes... It looks like Chris Nolan is already lining up his project after THE DARK KNIGHT. According to IESB.NET, Nolan is looking to helm a film based on the classic British TV show THE PRISONER...

Updated with the report of the costume change.

What ever report comes in, I'm not going to be able to update the FAQ. Yes, I think you all know why. The boards will be down for most of the weekend. So until then, what ever is reported will be updated when they are fully functional again.

The Bat-changes to the Bat-costume have begun!!!! Soon we'll have bat-nipples again!!! It's the batggeddon all over again!!1!!!

 NOOO!!!!!! :D

First page updated with the Phillippe rumor and the Holmes report. So you all know, I had to remove certain portions of the main page. Mainly due to the fact that the text was getting bigger, each and every time. It's only the updates that have gotten old, with in the months passing. (Comic-Con, etc)

Thanks, Bats.

I'm really not sure about Phillipe, for some reason I feel like he'll be written differently.

Why? Two-Face was Harvey Dent, a good looking, young DA making a name for himself. Phillipe can, I would hope, stretch himself to that. He isn't my first choice. I've always said it since the rumor was reported. But he is a great actor nonetheless. And if he IS cast, I would be willing to give him a chance with the character.

Batman, I couldn't agree more. That's exactly how I feel. I'd give him a chance if he was really dedicated to the role.

So is it official that he's Dent?

No. It isn't official, even if it's appearing to look that way. Just because IMDB is reporting it's true doesn't mean in the least that it is. The sites news and other sections of films, is notorious for false information. One of the privileges it has is that people are able to edit any page they choose. Mainly if you are registered to the site.

Honestly, when it's really official, word for word, I'm sure we'll get real confirmation when SHH reports the casting. Or, as some of the other sites reported Ledger as Joker.

if she is back i hope they kill her off in the first two minutes. they should get a love interest that's from the comics atleast and who isn't played by someone who's part of a hollywood conspiracy.

Joker - "I killed your precious little girlfriend. What do you think of that?"

Bruce - "You should see my other one."

A new report from BOF.

New News Coming In September?
Author: Jett
Tuesday, August 22, 2006 - 11:14 AM CENTRAL TIME: The word going around is that there may be some new THE DARK KNIGHT news coming in September. The last time I heard such rumblings was just prior to the Ledger/TDK announcements...

I really didn't think every BOF report needs a new thread. I posted in the FAQ thread to keep things organized.

Not really a whole lot of news now. Seems there may be a big announcement coming next month.

:batman:

"The last time I heard such rumblings was just prior to the Ledger/TDK announcements..."

Didn't BOF report not to expect any news around Comic-Con time? Then a few days later, what do you know, LR reports the biggest casting news this film had?

Actually BOF reported to both expect, and not expect Comic-Con news:)

i'm really, really, REALLY, not sure about Heath. I think Nolan has made a big mistake picking him, period.
