The Dark Knight The Dark Knight FAQ (Check here first)

I never thought it possible to reboot a franchise. What, are we supposed to forget about Carey, Thurman, Jones, Nocholson, Silverstone, Clooney, and the rest of the gang?

Considering how horrendous those character takes were....yes.

It's like going out with a hot ass girl that can't give a bj. Of course, that's sooo unacceptable and you dump her. Then you move on with another girl, but she reminds you of her ex. Sooo, while you do the nasty, you respectfully ignore said ex and move on from there, hoping improvements are made.

P.S. I have no idea why I felt compelled to write the above paragraph. But take it for what you will. :o

Haha.

You really thought all the characters from the old movies were horrendous? I though Carey was a great Riddler and DeVito was an awesome Penguin as well.

They weren't horrendous, I liked them for what they were. But as comic book adaptations, it was pretty bad. You have to step back and say, "hold up. this isn't the character I know"
So you have to move on and try again.

It's like that one time I went out with this black chick. Gave great dome ( ), hot body, but just didn't have have a booty. I mean look, for what she was, which was a sex toy, she was f'n great. But you just gotta take a step back and say, "hold up, you're black. how u not have a booty?!

So you have to move on and try again.

Wow, I don't read DC comics so I guess that's why I thought they were ok. If I didn't read X-Men, I probably would have thought Daniel Cudmore was a good Colossus ().

Your stereotypical analogies are uncanny lol.

Aw c'mon, you had to liek one of the old villains?

Yes it's possible to re-boot. It's already started. The Schumacher films IMO were interpretations of the 60's Batman show, but that's not really what Batman is. His films were more about the villians than Batman. Now, Nicholsons's Joker was great for the era it was made. But Tommy Lee Jones was a horrible Two-Face, nothing like the character of the comics. Burton's Penguin wasn't all that great either IMO. While it was different, I think it was too different. Jim Carrey I thought was okay....I'll ignore B & R ...

Yeah, we'll never speak of B&R again. I just thought that the end of BB was supposed to allude to the Keaton movie. Hmm.

Naaaa, apples and oranges dude. Seriously if you read a few of the Batman graphic novels you may find a new appreciation for the characters. The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Arkham Asylum---->some really good stories.

I love TAS and Long Halloween version of Two-Face, I hated Burton's Dent and Schumachers Two-Face. they were nothing like the comics.

Penguin and Catwoman was ****e Michelle was good tho but I liked BR. Joker was ok not threating enough.

Riddler, Mr Freeze, Bane and Posion Ivy poory done.

Nah after way Ledger was cast as Joker I doubt he will cast her.

Alrighty. now that I know the franchise has beet rebooted, I'll wipe the slate clean. Is the same happening to Supes since SR?

Very true. :(

Oh well, I'm sure there's someone out there that would be great for Catwoman. Ledger seemed so wrong for Joker, but I'm getting more used to the idea every day.

Nah, Singer went into a completely different direction than Nolan and followed Donner's films.

I'm sure there is but Jolie would been perfect cast if she wasn't that famous.

A little too much, IMO.:o

^Nah, Bale just knows nothing is set in stone with movie studio's these days. They always could end up changing their minds like Sony did with the Spider-man sequel.

They changed it from The Amazing Spider-man to the boring Spider-man 2. Let's hope TDK stays...........
