The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Merchandise Returns

I realize I'm waaaaay late for this but I'm considering doing a framed print of the Joker behind the glass theater poster for my upcoming refinished basement. Anyone have any good recommendations for finding the original, 2-sided one sheet version of this masterpiece? I've checked ebay and they seem to all be in the $70 to $100 range...which I guess is my penalty for waiting. (:cmad:)

Any suggestions appreciated.

If your lucky, you can find one at fye for $20. I saw one there a couple months ago, I still need to pick one up if they have any left.

Thanks for the input guys.

I got mine at Allposters.com for $50 plus I think they had a 25% off and free shipping, which is very common with them

I checked Allposters and they don't seem to carry the 2-sided version anymore, just the cheaper one and a framed smaller version. Nothing for $50.

I figured that listing is for the one-sided version when I saw this one: http://www.amazon.com/Knight-Joker-...ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1233020959&sr=8-1

I'll check my local fye and see what's left.

Actually, I don't own any 2-sided posters. But, I was under the impression that the quality was greater, sharper images, better printing etc. And the idea that it was meant for display at a theater makes it feel a bit more like a collectible. I would love to actually display it in a lightbox, theater style display, but that is a long shot.

What do you think Rich - is the quality better in your opinion?

Could someone please refresh my memory as how to tell if that 2-sided Joker poster is original or a reproduction?

I bought the poster when it 1st came out so I think I have a good chance at having an original.

Danke.

To be honest, not really. I've seen a two sided & one sided up close and there was no difference, just by a nice frame

Well, if the inverse of the front picture is printed on the back, it's definentley DS.

and I'm pretty sure that if it says "Summer 2008" on the bottom, it's DS, because I've never seen a one-sided poster of that pic with that on it.

Here's some Dark Knight stuff I bought. Still waiting for my Hot Toys Joker & Two Face.

2 sided posters are larger (27 x40), and yes the image quality and print is better. That's why they cost more.

used to work at a movie theater for three years.. double sided posters are the ones theaters get for display..they're designed for light boxes and like someone just said slightly bigger (27 x 40) they're original posters and really good quality..i have an original joker double sided poster that i got when it first came out..like 2 or 3 weeks before ledger died..it was about 15 bucks at the time : /..you might have to pay up a bit more if u really want it

oh man oh man!!! looks good!!!

just picked up TWO unmasked bats at TRU. they had a cage that probably had about 50 MM all from the first wave. wonder how long they've had those sitting in back...

There was a guy selling packs of real Joker cards on ebay recently, but I don't know if he has any more. They were going for like, $100 anyway. :oldrazz:

Haven't been keeping up, dunno if this has been posted...but it just showed up on Boing Boing. :lmao: Glad to see that TDK still has a stranglehold on pop culture.

Is that an updated MM Joker?
Looks like a 12" Joker. Would be a good companion to the 12" Batman that was a Toys R Us exclusive IIRC. The Batman was (according to the back of the box) made from the original movie masters sculpt before they downsized for the actual 6" figure. Looks like they've finally gotten around to doing the same for the Joker. I hope they bring it out in Australia.

still looking to sell my hot toys bank robber joker email me or message me for details
