I have a feeling Catwoman might be the Two-Face of this movie. Meaning we won't get a lot of shots or footage or a sneak peak at Catwoman until much later.

She won't. According to Gil, they're planning to promote Catwoman to the same extent they promoted the Joker.

The good news is, we should be getting a little more than that. Same for Superman, which will undoubtedly get even more early peeks and reveals.

The really good stuff should be hitting the pipeline in June/July. You'll get Bane, Batman, and MAYBE a tease of Catwoman. I know they're really trying to hype her up as a character.

The standard temp/teaser website should also be up within the next month with whatever branding/logo they're going with. I know they want to have most of that initial stuff finalized long before the Con.

Should be pretty exciting.

It doesn't mean that he's unimportant, just that marketing would lean more toward Catwoman than Bane simply because she's more marketable. The audience would know who she is and want to see her. There have been a TON of boxing and fighting movies as of late - besides the mask, what does Bane have going for him visually? We already know they aren't going to pump him full of Venom to look like Hulk.

Harvey Dent and Jim Gordon was certainly on screen more than Joker (and the fall of Dent as Two-Face was arguably the final straw for our good guys), but you didn't see them as much in the posters for TDK.

I think it totally makes sense. The average movie goer would have no idea who Bane even is. Thus, promoting a household name like Catwoman makes more sense. Only problem is that I don't see Catwoman being the main villain. Kinda why I wished the Riddler would have been the baddie...but oh well.

I think it totally makes sense. The average movie goer would have no idea who Bane even is. Thus, promoting a household name like Catwoman makes more sense. Only problem is that I don't see Catwoman being the main villain. Kinda why I wished the Riddler would have been the baddie...but oh well.

They probably will play the whole "Friend or Foe" angle with her marketing.

Also, I think there will be more marketing focus on Batman/Bruce this time around since this will be Nolan's last Batman movie and if it is true that TDKR's story will be more focused on Bruce Wayne a la BB.

I think Selina will be Catwoman as soon as the film begins, so it wont really be a spoiler that she gets "created" as was the case with Two-Face. I think her image will be much more commonplace than Two-Face's, but we might not see the first image for a little while.

She's a great actress but it wasn't anything at all that resembles Catwoman as a character.

Same with Penguin and to an extent Batman.

I loved Pfeiffer's Catwoman. She wasn't the Catwoman of the comics, but that version of the character did work well on its own terms. Same with Devito's Penguin. I found both of them much more impressive than Nicholson's Joker.

I've long envisioned Catwoman's introduction to the film being her showing up to toy with Batman whilst he's staking someone out, almost as if they've met numerous times over the course of the period between TDK and Rises.
