Oh Jett.

I think Im gonna start a Bat-fan site and regurgitate what I've read on other sites and claim I've known it for weeks too. :o

If he really did know (and I do think he did) why even confirm that it's real? He should have just kept quiet.

I don't believe those "spoilers"
Just sounds like someone searched these boards for what the fans speculated.

However, Bane as a henchman is okay by me. :yay:

Bane as a henchman sounds horrible.

:awesome:

I just find it funny that this plot(real or not) is so close to the one that a few here made such a fuss about.

If he really did know (and I do think he did) why even confirm that it's real? He should have just kept quiet.

Because he's an egomaniac and wants you to know that he "knew" before you did.

I don't believe this is totally real, maybe some elements, but not the whole thing.

If it is real, I'm sure Nolan can pull it off and approach it differently, but we're still at a wait and see I believe.

I agree. Thats the feeling I'm getting.

This isnt real, i refuse to believe it!!

Because he knows it isn't real and is just confirming it to throw people off the scent.

Jett made a big deal about not posting the Magnus Rex title. Why would he confirm plot details?

It makes no sense for the league of shadows or talia to appear. I don't care what jett says.

Not to retread old ground but maybe final movie could shape up to be something like this obviously not exact but close......

The opening scene: a back story on Ras Al Ghul and The League of Shadows. Ras before finding Wayne had previously attempted a similar recruitment of someone with a very similar upbringing as Bruce Wayne but he failed, and instead of creating a hero he created a cunning, vicious, and untraceable villain………
Batman 3-The Dark Knight Rises

Bruce will struggle hard with the consequences of being Batman and will vow to give up, he must first replace Harvey Dent himself or find someone that can do it and support them both as Wayne and as Batman. Batman has become something of a loner, distancing himself from Gordon and anyone else who might also have their lives torn apart like Dent did. Bruce Wayne’s struggle in TDK was to support Harvey and have him take over as the crime fighter of Gotham so he could let go of Batman, in this movie he will find out how much he and Gotham need Batman. In the beginning, Bruce begins to shift more of his focus on cleaning up Gotham from a humanitarian angle using Wayne Enterprises and his wealth to fight the good fight in the public.(Similar to his father Thomas Wayne) Things take a turn for the worse when Wayne Enterprises is accused of violating labor laws and economic scandal. Bruce will have the fight of his life as he is challenged as both Batman and Bruce Wayne by Roman Sionis. This is the Black Mask an older man , rich, a rogue member of the league of shadows and his False Face Society a ruthless gang of disfigured members who have all been tortured and brainwashed. Black Mask's most important weapons are fear and intimidation. He is known for his brutal and sadistic torture techniques, especially on the face. Black Mask also uses his connections to gather information on his enemies, and then hits them at their weak points, such as family and friends. He was the crime lord of Gotham city for many years as an undercover businessman and was the original target of Ras al Ghul., Following Joker’s lead, the costume villains’ band together to go to war with the mob, the police and the Batman, trying to stake their claim as Gotham’s new criminal fraternity.
Meanwhile, in Gotham City, the final remnants of the Falcone/Maroni crime families huddle together to defend their shrinking empire against the wave of “costumes” that have invaded Gotham’s underworld. The Black Mask uses to his advantage the fact the Batman is now public enemy number one and the suspect of the murders committed in the Dark Knight. Reese, The employee from TDK who found blueprints for Tumbler (BATMOBILE) is found murdered, and Batman is framed, thought to be trying to protect his identity. This leads to an even greater pressure from the city for Gordon to capture Batman.

A new and mysterious female assistant D.A. emerges Talia Head and sparks the interest of Bruce Wayne and the public, she is secretly Talia al Ghul REMEMBER RAS LINE FROM BEGINS WHERE HE SAID THE LEAGUE HAD INFILTRATED EVERY LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT IN GOTHAM. She is a complex character, not quite heroine nor villainess but more of an anti-hero. Talia has brought a team of the remaining League of Shadows Warriors to Gotham City to hunt down the Batman and attempt to have Batman take up Ras mantle as leader of the League of Shadows. However she really intends on using Batman to destroy Black Mask.

The Black Mask is secretly also a wealthy business man and has the pull to push around Bruce Wayne and also fabricate documents and information. His Intel is unparalleled, and he is a master criminal strategist with vast amount of resources.
Commissioner Gordon knows it is not the Batman who is committing these murders but is losing faith in The Batman’s strategy. The mayor under pressure from the public, and under the thumb of the Black Mask has assigned a special task force to capture and reveal Batman’s identity to have him brought to justice. The special task force led by Harvey Bullock, and special criminal profiler Dr. Hugo Strange discover that Gordon is still working with Batman to figure out who is committing the murders. This task force is under the command of the Black Mask. Gordon and Batman learn of the plot to ruin the Commissioner’s career and destroy the Batman from Talia, who reveals herself as the daughter of Ras Al Ghul just before the arrival of the remaining faction of the League of Shadows, which have come to Gotham to finish the work of Ras. Talia , who knows Batman’s identity, informs Batman that The League of shadows original target was that of the Black Mask who himself is a former member of the League of Shadows and her father’s top student before he went rogue. She tells Batman that the Black Mask now controls the Gotham police department and will stop at nothing until Batman is dead and Commissioner Gordon’s career is destroyed.
Batman is now while struggling with the conflict of continuing his life as both Batman and Bruce Wayne or accepting the offer from Talia who is determined to have Bruce lead The League of Shadows. In order to stop the Black Mask and his gang of freaks he agrees to lead the League of Shadows temporarily. Through the obsession of Dr. Hugo Strange the Black Mask has learned that Wayne Enterprises has been contributing to Batman’s resources. The Black Mask and his gang of disfigured costume freaks infiltrate Wayne Enterprises and in an attempt to take over the building murders Lucious Fox who he sees as the brains of the executive board, attempting to frame Batman again in the process. During their attack Batman leads a squadron of League of Shadow warriors into an all out war against Black Mask in the false face society. Black Mask caught off guard by the arrival of the League of Shadows destroys the building and in the process is left scarred with his metal Black mask now seared to his skull. Batman is able to escape the building and save Talia in the process, but the League of Shadows warriors and the False Face Society gang were caught in the destruction. Behind the destruction of Wayne Enterprises and death of Lucious Fox, Batman goes full fledged vigilante.

I never saw the L.O.S. becoming an after-thought once Batman chopped off the head (Ra's). I wouldn't mind seeing the league come back, however, it does have the same old song and dance feeling to it. I'm fine with Talia running the LOS but not with Bane being the "muscle/love interest."

Catwoman might be a villain at the start but turns out to be an ally at the end? Hmmm, here we go - Catwoman vs. Talia, Batman vs. Bane in the end? I guess Catwoman is the new Robin if this news turns out to be true. Now JGL is with the LOS? Maybe he isn't but has some type of relation to the league like Scarecrow did. I completely see JGL funding the league (rumor has it, JGL is appearing in the NYC stock exchange scene) perhaps as a mob member, maybe Black Mask - Roman Sionis is rich.

The more I type, the more I think this info was purposely leaked by the so called batcamp. However, if this turns out to be true, please make this film be great. I have heard three times now that the script is phenomenal. We shall see.

I don't think Bane will be used as just a henchman. Like I said even through delusion or his intelligence he will have his own agenda, and just use the Leauge to get him closer to his own goal. Just because Talia gets him does not mean that he is really just a hired goon. He most likley would have his own intentions for going after the Bat they just may have mutual goals.

"I just spoke with a good source close to the Batcamp..."

Yeah, not buying it. Seems too much like a fan's plot for The League of Shadows to come back and for Talia to be in it. Not to mention the sketchiness of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's role that just happens to be thrown into something that seems easily made up.

Were it real, I wouldn't mind it that much, I guess. Bane has been in the League in the comics and Talia was certainly his intended muse in those storylines, so it would have basis from a couple of existing graphic novels. And Catwoman becoming Batman's ally is pretty much a key trait that has never fully been explored in other mediums. But like I said, and with existence of those storylines reinforcing the point, I really don't buy that it is real. Jett has fully backed completely untrue rumors in the past, so his head's clearly up his ass regardless.

With any rumor, I don't completely dismiss it unless it's obvously a fake. I'll just put it into the back of my mind until the truth comes out.

People gotta see it from both sides: The Fake and the truth, like what 'Batman' did. Playing the devil's avocate.

If you just completely dismiss the rumor and say it sounds stupid (considering that we don't know the whole picture yet), if it ends up being true, then you're setting yourself up for disappointment, and the only person to blame is you.

So that's why I'm on the fence.

If it is real does the LoS basically take over all of Gotham and only Bats can save the city or is the movie barely gonna be in Gotham at all with Batman abroad attacking there Los HQ??

So we're either getting:

A) "I'm going to avenge my father!"
or
B) "I'm going to finish what my father started!"

I find both options boring and uninspired.

There is plenty of story potential with Catwoman and Bane as the only villains. Why we need this League of Shadows retread is beyond me. So much for these films working as stand-alone stories.

And while I doubt Nolan will make him a mindless brute, I still take serious issue with Bane in a henchman role (again).

/Knee-jerk reaction.

Eh. It all depends on the execution. Personally, I was vouching for Bane to be a hired gun working for the GPD (in place of Strange/Nygma) as I reckoned that would have been the most poignant take to followup the events of the last movie. Still, the League of Shadows can work, and I understand if Nolan wants to use them again so long as this isn't a regurgitation of Batman Begins. I'm all for giving a bit more closure to that plot thread, so long as the escalation from the Joker and Harvey Dent's effect on Gotham in the last movie is also addressed (Black Mask would be a good way to do this).

I kind of want Bane to be the middle ground, really. If he was nothing but another henchman like Scarecrow then it would indeed be lame, but I'm not sure I liked the idea many suggested of Bane coming out of nowhere to challenge the Batman and then rule Gotham and the mob? It would be true to his Knightfall arc, but wouldn't it make him too much like the Joker aside from being physically imposing? Bane being Talia's lover could be interesting, and that middle ground that I'm looking for in this particular villain, but I do share people's fears of this fresh character we're all excited for being overshadowed by the antagonists of the first movie. Deep down, I'm confident Nolan won't do that, though.

Co-sign. Pretty much my take on it as well.

The Bat has spoken.

Also it seems strange that this source could get all of this yet couldnt get JGLs character
