well of course Wally would say positive about the film, who wouldn't? When was the last time you hear someone who was working on a film talk s*** or feel unenthusiastically about it? never. Ive said this many times but ill say it again, once we see a trailer of it then ill make a small judgment of the film.

I agree, to an extent. The difference here being Nolan's involvement and his track record to date and knowing he has complete creative control over this project. He deserves all the excitement and enthusiasm that is being thrown towards this film.

omg TDKR will make Batman and Robin look like a masterpiece in comparison. We will be BEGGING for Schumacher's Bane after seeing this trainwreck!!

well prepare for a disappointment, just sayin..
Lol I can't look forward to a movie now? Just the very thought of anticipating it means I'm going to leave the theater disappointed after I see it? Geez, what a cynic.

Wait, were there people actually looking forward to Revenge of the Fallen?

Wally Pfister says in the interview that Nolan had the choice of taking the job or walking away. Obviously Nolan didn't need to do it for the money, I honestly believe he would have walked away if he didn't feel he could top The Dark Knight. That is why I'm extremely excited to see what he has in store for us in The Dark Knight Rises!

Exactly. When he said he would only come back if he felt there was a story, he meant it.

That's a s***** thing to say.

Well, the hype for TDK was through the roof and they delivered, so right now Nolan is running on the goodwill from that.

Of course, that doesn't apply if you didn't like TDK. :oldrazz:

well im just keeping it real (real expectations). I know this from previous experience, you keep you hype too high it will come right back at you. And yes I know people had high expectations for TDK and it meet theirs when they saw it (myself included) but I just don't think TDKR is this case. As you know TDKR is the final chapter of his series so you know the tone of the movie is going to change. That may not be everybodys cup of tea for those who cant get enough of TDK (and probably never cared for BB).

All im saying is dont get too excited right now. nothing has been filmed yet so anything can happen.

There's nothing wrong with keeping expectations in check.

However.

We can't like both?

I don't want a film just like TDK. What would be the point? I want something that ties the series together and tells a great story. ;)

I was just merely talking about the small demographic who only talk about TDK and nothing else, you know the same group who has a bad reputation around here

Likewise, and I think that's what all the fans who have enjoyed Nolan's Batmovies want as well.

Exactly. If you wanted TDK all over again, you might as well pop in the DVD/Blu-ray and watch it again that way. :oldrazz:

The new grad student here is apparently so into it, that when I showed him my viral site, he immediately started with the Joker quotes. :lmao:

And I thought I was bad!

Speak for yourself there.
I'm normally good with the implied meaning of things but....what? :o

Do you think there is any chance, he would do another after this one?

The only chance of that happening is if he decides he wants to come back in 20 years and do "The Dark Knight Returns." And if that happens, it'll be an entirely different kind of movie that won't really tie in to this trilogy at all.

Actually no, I don't know. Nolan fans in general have a bad rep because, according to some people on here (not you) we're all some Borg-like collective who think and act alike and never question or criticise him or something.

The batboards tend to have a bad reputation on the Hype, but I've never understood why. Sure, we all get into our little quarrels and disagreements now and then, but they're usually not anything serious. I've yet to see anything here that's that different from how people behave elsewhere on the Hype.

Yep. I'm sure during preproduction of Batman Forever, Schumaker was probably saying how the new neon look of Gotham City looked spectacular.
