Character You Would Like To Play: Steven Rogers, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D... Captain America

Powers: Peak physical strength, stamina, agility, and mental awareness, all brought upon experimental steroid proceedures through what was dubbed the Super Soldier Formula. Steve Rogers was already trained in exceptional combative techniques and weapons training by the time he underwent this experiment.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point): A citizen in the 1940's, during the period of World War II, Private Steven Rogers was unable to make his rank and join the field because of his frail condition. But a dedicated soldier at heart, Rogers soon found himself undergoing a proceedure that would change all of that. His muscle mass triplicated, his mind became the peak of physical perfection, and he could perform feats that were never seen, in that day in age. Pretty soon, Rogers was drafted into the war with ease, making his way to the rank of Captain after a short time. Dubbed "Captain America" by his fellow comrades, for Rogers' profound patriotism, Rogers lead his team into a disasterous mission that would mean apprehending a Nazi war general, Johann Schmidt. But when a nuclear missle was set off by the genocidal nazi, Rogers sacrificed himself to save both his comrades and his country. He was proclaimed a hero, in history, believed to be dead. However, Rogers was only in a statis captivity, frozen in the ice of the atlantic ocean. He would not be found for close to forty years, until Nick Fury's team of scientists would discover his frozen tomb...

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. I had the opprotunity to play Ultimate Captain America, but I've never been able to play the 'real' Cap. Now I can incorperate both interpretations into one.

2. With this RPG coming back on the fast track, seemingly, I need a new character. Cap was my third ideal choice, behind Spidey and DD, when I originally started the game.

3. Well, what better way to ensure The Avengers are created?

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you changing him or her?): Since I can't do my Vietnam era story without retconning the game's history, I don't really think I'll be changing much about the character. I do intend to blend both the iconic status of 616 with the grim, hardassery of Ultimate Cap, while making him true to legend and form.

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I hope to bring somewhat enjoyable writing, at the very least. I also hope to do a good job in living up to the icon that is Captain America, given that he's so beloved.

1. I can do so much with a backstory like the one i've given him.

2. Just read a book where the cheif bad guy is an angel...and it isnt the Bible.

3. He's a big badguy.

I know that Marko experimented with Iceman early on, and I played Rogue recently, so who knows what the status quo with those two is. Also, Colossus is over in Russia, and the world knows he's a mutant.
