I might take up Harvey Dent. I've been wanting to play as a villain in this RPG, and I actually think it's a pretty cool concept. But, I don't wanna overload Master Bruce with a buncha Batman villains (I'm sure he's busy since he's involved in, like, 50 other RPGs). If I DO play as Dent, I'm gonna make him black, unless that bothers anyone.

From my understanding, this RPG is based off of regular DCU continuity, up until the cut off point of course, so Dent would still be a white guy.

Dang, I really wanted to do a black Dent. Oh well. Like I said, I may not play him if MB is too busy for all these Batman villains. I'm not picky, so if there's a villain somebody's really been itchin' to fight, I might take them up.

BTW, would anyone object to me using Harvey Bullock? I was thinking of making him a drunken, obese, retired cop who has become Nigma's disgruntled second-in-command at the PI firm.

Origin (If not a new character, a recap of events leading to how your character got to what they are today):
Harvey Dent was a young man who was constantly tormented and abused by his alchoholic father. Over the years, Dent has had trouble with major fits of bio-polar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia. After high school, Dent attended college where he finally got his life on track and met his first love, Gilda. Dent graduated from college, obtaining a major in law, and is now an attorney trying to get his own firm going in Gotham.
Personality:
Dent is a gentleman who truly cares about upholding justice in Gotham City. He puts others before himself and is very good at his job.


Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) I have some awesome ideas for Harvey.

2) I've been a big Dent fan since The Long Halloween.

3) I've always wanted to play a character where I don't have to start off as a hero/villain.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?):
I intend on playing him mostly as he is usually portrayed as in the comics. But once he becomes Two-Face, I'm going to put more enthusiasm on his split-personality disorder.
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG:
As much as my time will allow.
Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech:
Times New Roman x3 for Dent. Franklin Gothic Medium bold, dark red, for Two-Face.

Harvey paced around the courtroom, making gestures with his hands as he does so.

"Ladies and gentleman of the jury, if I may direct your attention to exhibit A."

Harvey motions to a small bag with a used bullet in it. Then, he made his way towards Steve Finger, the witness in question.

"Mr. Finger, do you recognize the bullet in that bag?"

The witness shrugged.

"I dunno... Bullets all look the same to me."

Marsha Thompson, the defendant's attorney, stood up.

"Your Honor, I object. How is this relevant to the case?"

The judge looked over to Harvey.

"Mr. Dent?"

"Your Honor, it has been brought to my attention that the witness HAS seen the bullet before, and it is VERY relevant to this case."

The judge nodded.

"You may proceed, Mr. Dent."

Marsha sat down. Harvey continued questioning the witness.

"Now... You claim to have been at the scene of the crime when you heard the weapon fire, correct?"

The man nodded.

"Yeah..."

"You also claimed that the day of the murder was the first time you have ever seen a man get shot, correct?"

"Yeah."

"You have NEVER seen a bullet fired before, correct?"

"Yeah... Nevah."

"Not even in the movies or on television?"

"I don't watch TV that much. No, I ain't NEVAH seen a bullet before."

"You realize you are under oath, don't you?"

"Yeah, but..."

Marsha stood.

"Objection, your Honor."

"Over-ruled. Continue, Mr. Dent."

"Mr. Finger, if you have REALLY never seen a bullet before...Then why did you say earlier that 'all bullets look the same to you'?"

The witness leaped to his feet.

"ALL RIGHT, I DID IT!! I killed the old man!"

Everyone in the courtroom gasped.

Harvey just smiled.

Hey everyone -- I'm thinking about creating a new character to take over as Nightwing, what would you all think about that?

That'd be something that the current Bat-family would have to weigh in on (especially Master Bruce and Byrd Man). It'd probably have to be planned out a bit to not conflict with anything.
