The Doctor Doom Thread

Ok NOW you are talking my language...well that and when he becomes God Emperor Doom over the whole multiverse

If that ever happens on the big screen I am going to be the only person to give a standing ovation in my theatre

I would put money on god emperor doom coming up soon. The tricky part of course is finding an actor that can deliver that gravitas

DOCTOR DOOM Project From Marvel Studios Appears To Be In The Works... And Howard Stern Is Involved!

I hope this is not a Disney+ series because their track record hasn’t been the best and I don’t want a family friendly antihero depiction of the character.

Due to the myriad of rumors of rumors of Doom having some kind of presence in Black Panther 2, I think it’s be safe to say everyone’s favorite masked dictator(and Reed Richards arch-rival) will make his MCU debut in that film.

Assuming he isn't trolling us, I have a good feeling he may have told something that he wasn't suppose to...Kevin Feige could announce a Doom D+ series and he could be the reporter from Books of Doom (instead of the female generic reporter, it could be Stern???)....just an idea...

Yeah this story smells fishy. Anyway I don’t really like Howard Stern after what he did to Fran Drescher.

very keen on a doctor doom flick though. Great opportunity to look at the danger of totalitarian governments and how they rise

97% it’s complete BS.

2.99% He’s doing some kind of cameo.

0.009% He’s playing Doom in some kind of spoof.

0.001% He’s playing Doom in something serious.

My guess is Stern is playing himself and is interviewing Dr. Doom on the air. Maybe he makes a disrespectful joke and Doom kills him lol.

If Stern actually is playing Dr. Doom, the Fantastic Four film curse must be a real thing.

I could see him as Galactus but not Doom lol

If I want to troll MCU fans, I would‘ve done that way. After all he‘s a radio moderator and knows how to prank for attention.

99,9% BS

if there’ll be a Doom series, than it should be more than flashbacks in episode 5 and a battle of red and violet light beams in episode 6.

This is old but new to me
Doom will be practical and not CG
Signore also claimed that Doom would appear “in full Doctor Doom armor,” as well as his alter ego, Victor von Doom. He also previously noted that Doom “will be appearing in a smaller role as the overall bad guy pulling the strings in Black Panther 2.”

I think they definitely should do it practically. It’s armor, so it's not anything crazy to reproduce.

And I think an important element if Doom will be his ability to sweep into a room and have a presence that is larger than life and commands attention. I think that works better with an actor in armor on-set than some guy wearing a suit with ping pong balls.

The Darth Vader effect.

Regarding all these casting rumours.

Reed and Johnny and Namor’s actors are all 42.

Coster Waldau is 51 so i think he has a strong chance to be Victor

I hadn't even considered that Doom might be CGI. But I'm glad they're going with practical. How hard can it be to glue a couple of trash bags onto him anyway?

right and for Galactus how hard is it to render a giant fart cloud

Seems like a weird, arbitrary unnecessary change, but so does what they’re apparently doing with Namor.

i guess if they’re trying to create an historical rivalry with Namor, that’s a way to do it, but if true, it seems like they’re more interested in trying to be clever than faithfully bringing the characters to screen, and that seems more Fox than Marvel.
