The Doctor Doom Thread

In the alleged leak
Kang plants a Doom baby in the 616 to ensure his own birth thousands of years later. Kang is a descendant of Doom's. The fact that the baby grows up to be a hero in being raised by the Starks, introduces the concept of nature vs. nurture to Doom's arc. If he's raised by good people, in good conditions, he becomes Earth's mightiest hero. If he's allowed to grow up in Latveria however, under harsh conditions, he becomes Earth's greatest threat. They're proposing the idea that a Doom is either the best of us (616 Tony) or the worst of us (God Emperor of Battleworld).

You're not making a good first impression around here, friend. Either post the link of this supposed leak, or admit that it's your theory.

You get the nature/nurture concept just by having two versions of the same person live completely different lives in separate universes.

And you avoid the narrative clunk of swapping babies 'cause Kang or something.
You have to establish what the intended destiny (nature) was before you can explore the effects of the conditions respective to each universe (nurture).

If in a parallel universe, Ted Bundy doesn't become a serial killer but is rather known as "Charles Connors" and becomes POTUS, he's still Ted Bundy physiologically. A Ted Bundy, who by being adopted by The Connors family, somehow avoided whatever it was that made him become a serial killer in our universe.

It's a comic book movie, brah. ****'s not that deep.

RDJ says he's not playing a Stark variant. That suggests 616 Tony is a Doom variant.
No, it says these characters just have the same face, like other random characters in the MCU do. We already know the same character can have different faces. There was a whole Spider-Man movie about it.

You're not getting this here.
I'm not expecting Doomsday or Secret Wars to get Oscars, but I am confident that McFeely and the Russos will deliver great films. The Winter Soldier is still my fav MCU film with Endgame, Infinity War and Civil War right behind it.

I have faith in this crew. Specially with RDJ as the villain of the piece.

You do you, fam. I just wouldn't marry myself to an idea that is, frankly put, more complicated than it needs to be.

doesn't that kinda create a grandfather paradox of sorts, tho

yes, it'd put his ancestor in this new universe, but, with a different upbringing whats to ensure he ends up with the same partners in the future or whatever and so on and so forth through the generations that made him who he is...
I think the implication is that
Kang knows everything. So much so that he knows that unless he plants that Doom baby in the 616, he will not be born in the distant future.

Its absolutely a paradox. Kang and Doom have always had that relationship where one won't kill the other because they're not sure who's the ancestor and who's the descendant. The same applies to Reed and Kang. Its a three-way paradox lol

I'm pretty sure you can state the implication with complete confidence given it seems to be your own theory.
