I figured someone should start a thread on the lovely Miss Smoak. She's become my favourite female character in this series now.

She looks great whether dressed up in glasses and looking geeky, or glammed up in evening wear. I sometimes almost think she looks sexier with glasses.

I hope, with her promotion to series regular next season, we see even more of her and get some backstory too.

I endorse thie 100% Ms Smoak has grown on me quite a bit

This thread is LONG overdue, Felicity is great on the show, comes out with some very funny one liners and awkward moments, of course it also helps that Emily is stunning.

The funny thing is that her character should not have worked, but Ms. Rickards made the character her own and Felicity is awesome because of it.

Keep it up girl.

Why not?

And that's what happens when you have the right actress in a part.

Do NOT stop with the posting of the pictures, keep them coming!

Dark Raven: Because her character could easily have been too obnoxious and cheesy which would've been a bad mix in the show. It almost happened at the beginning when she was working with Walter. But her quirkiness really shined in later episodes and that's why she got promoted.

That and the fact she has great one liners, especially in tonights episode. Hilarious.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised though to see the Producers have her relationship with Oliver become romantic at some point in the series, especially since there are some fan groups emerging that are hoping for it to become a reality apparently and I honestly don't blame them since I think Felicity's character and Oliver have the best chemistry between a male and female character on the show.

She's awesome. Forget Laurel and Thea. Felicity is where it's at. :o

Agreed. Can't stand Laurel and Thea, but Felicity continues to be awesome.

Felicity belongs with Diggle. My girlfriend and I think they'd make a cute couple...

You know, I actually want her with Diggle too. But to end the Laurel nonsense, I wouldn't mind if she gets together with Ollie.

Diggle seems like leftovers. It's almost too predictable to have her with him, as often people wouldn't put the geeky tech girl with the main hero as they want to save him for the "equally cool" (not) heroine in Laurel. I think it would be more refreshing if Felicity were with Ollie for a while at least.

Laurel is dull. I don't see anything in her at the moment that even remotely seems like she could be Black Canary.

I used to like Thea at the start, but she got annoying.

Agreed, plus if anything, they've given more teases/nods at the idea of a romantic pairing between Oliver and Felicity as of late, especially with all of Felicity's rather humorous dialogues.

I'm not an shipper for this pairing but it's kind of obvious to me that aside from the good chemistry that Oliver has with Slade and Diggie when it comes to the male figures in his life, it's Felicity that takes the winning when it comes to his chemistry with the female characters on the show.

In Smallville, the Hood Ollie ended up with Chloe (the spunky and geeky yet attractive tech girl) instead of Black Canary. Felicity has echoes of Chloe in terms of her character, and she's also able to deliver dialogue (whether techie or humorous observations) in a similar way to Allison Mack. Maybe history will repeat itself here.

This version's Black Canary isn't even as personable as Smallville's. In fact, Laurel is more like the Arrow version of Lana Lang. Dull, boring and seems forced upon people where they're being told they have to like her and that she's going to be the main heroine. At least they should've hired a different actress for the part instead of Katie Cassidy. Even Emily Bett Rickards would've made a better Black Canary.

More of the awesome Felicity Smoak.

Yeah, Laurel definitely resembles Lana's character in many shades, with Tommy's one following Lex's one very close behind.

I guess in this case, unlike the character of Chloe, it seems like Felicity's character is more universally well received since I know that when it came to Chloe, fans were divided, with many adoring and loving her while others just couldn't stand her and wanted her to leave the show already.

I wonder if it'll change when they pair her up and add some relationship drama. I can't blame the actress alone on Laurel, but the way she is written, is utterly annoying and tiresome. This whole I love you, I don't love you. You were a jerk, cheated on me with my sister, are partially responsible for her death, you continuously hurt my feelings, let's shag.

No gif of her in the casino when she was talking to Oliver over the comms? :-(

"It feels good knowing you're inside me."

LOL!!!!! I nearly died!!!!

Ok, a question to everyone. Felicity Smoak: sexier with glasses or without?

My personal opinion is that she looks more stunning without, but sexier with. There's something almost naughty or saucy about her when she puts on that frame around her face.

I say sexier with glasses on. I dig that whole nerdy thing.

To me she just looks permanently sexy, I love her character and actress playing her is gorgeous as well, the more Felicity we get the better in my eyes.

That would be interesting to see somewhere down the line.

However, it would really be nice to see Felicity and Diggle together. They have such great chemistry together. And, besides, Diggle deserves to be happy.

Laurel is dull. I don't see anything in her at the moment that even remotely seems like she could be Black Canary.

I agree, with the way she is currently written.

However, if circumstances change (i.e. -- if her father were killed), her motivations could change and cause her character to go down a certain path and evolve into something similar to the character we know and love.

I used to like Thea at the start, but she got annoying.

I actually didn't like her very much at the beginning of the season, because she was just an annoying, bratty b**ch. But ever since she started working at CNRI and hooked up with Roy, she seemed to have found a bit more purpose, so she's a little more tolerable.
