So to sum up the last few posts, the big topic that's being brought up in this debate is whether Felicity spits or swallows?

Yep. For the life of me I can't see how it matters, but I guess the discussion is at least a change of pace.

Tells a lot about the episode doesn't it? I really wonder what the poll would look like if Mamma Smoak didn't have such large assets?

i finally saw it! it was just okay till ( and please dont stone me for this) but i kind of dug Laurel and the Whole WILDCAT thing!! dude was all now i can train you!yeah! she still cant act outta a paperbag!( i am hoping looking hot in the canary outfit will give more of a pass!) but that dude as Wildcat with her was kinda cool! I gave it a 5!

... and please Roy needs to do something (maybe next episode) besides sitting around! damn man! that dude has that cool outfit and just sits in the background!! come on!

Yup.

And the funniest part is that Felicity was actually doing it right and the people complaining are the ones doing it wrong. Dentists advocate NOT rinsing your mouth after brushing your teeth but to just spit out the excess toothpaste when you're done.

C'mon, folks! Go to a dentist once in awhile!! :woot:

Well then why do they recommend you to rinse your mouth with flour (or whatever it's called) afterwards (which you are supposed to spit out) ? :o

That's disgusting. You're just swallowing the remnants of any plaque or food mixed in with the toothpaste. I know someone who swallowed all their toothpaste after brushing (not even spitting any out) and the excess fluoride in their system made their teeth all mottled eventually.

And I don't think all dentists advocate the above. I've never had that suggested by any dentists I've been to nor heard anyone else reporting that.

Seriously? this mouth rinse nonsense is what you all are obsessing over? Really?

Why not? It's not like this episode offered much in the way of exciting discussion in the first place.

Fluoride is also toxic and cancerous. Just saying...

I doubt this seriously. Please provide evidence that this is true and you don't just have a crazy dentist.

You're not supposed to rinse your mouth with fluoride immediately after brushing your teeth...

Sure. Consider the UK's National Health Service:

How to brush your teeth

How to brush your teeth Make sure you brush all the surfaces of all your teeth, which should take about two minutes. Remember to brush the inside surfaces, outside surfaces and the chewing surfaces of your teeth.

After brushing, spit out any excess toothpaste, but don't rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash.

If you need any more information on your toothbrushing technique, speak to your dental team.

Children need to be helped or supervised brushing their teeth until they're at least seven years old.

And here's another that attempts to explain the rationale:

Should You Rinse After Brushing Your Teeth?

Looking at the second link, opinions and scientific studies are divided.

Previous studies have indicated that rinsing the mouth with a beaker of water after toothbrushing may compromise the caries reducing effect of fluoride toothpaste.
It is concluded that post-brushing rinsing with water, under the conditions of this study, does not significantly affect the caries reducing effect of a fluoride toothpaste.
It looks like there is some scientific disagreement on whether or not rinsing with water after brushing really does improve oral health.

I will stick with the non messy way myself.

Since opinion is divided that would explain why dentists give different advice depending on which view they subscribe to.

I would definitely rinse my mouth out anyway, especially after you've brushed both your teeth and your tongue (which might have all that white bacteria on it).

The only thing I'll say about this bizarre discussion is that it was somewhat uncomfortable seeing her talk with a mouth full of suds.(but I guess that was the point)

I think Emily had a bit stronger showing, acting wise, than she usually does with these emotionally charged scenes.I only felt she was having a tough time near the end of her confrontation with Momma Smoak.

BTW,another Coast City name drop. They did the same thing with Central City in the first two seasons.Anyone still think we're not getting a GL show within the next two years?

wellllll i dont know all about this coffee/ toothpaste thing!( which is kinda ironic and surreal and causing me all sorta ocularity!) but i do know that Felicity's MOM was SMOAKING HOT!! ( hahah "Smoak" get it!) DAMN!! in a MILFy trailer park, all sorts of DIRTY things way!... ahem... sorry!.. you guys can carry on with the 9 outta 10 dentist recommend coffee discussion!
:cwink:

Yeah, debating about rinsing after brushing is So much more interesting ad compelling. :whatever:

Honestly, I think the series' producers have really overdone it when it comes to Felicity's character in the same veil that Marvel had done when Tom's Loki became very popular after the first Thor film.

Felicity's role in this season seems to be more about who she'll be paired up with romantically and I don't think her origins, in the manner that it was written, was exactly the best for her.

This was a decent episode.

At the very least, it confirmed for me that Felicity has always had pretty good taste in men - Nolan Funk, Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin and Brandon Routh are all fine specimens.

Not too much else happened that was of consequence. Giggle's superhero costume is beyond lame and needs an immediate upgrade. It was great to see him covering his face, but a basic black ski mask is unacceptable for a member of Team Arrow. Why did Roy get a cool, skin-tight, red leather outfit with hood and mask, but all Diggle got is an old ski mask?

I'm over the "who killed Sara" storyline. I don't for a second believe it was Roy. And I also don't believe that Roy is so proficient with Arrows that he can now aim and throw them with sufficient force to kill a trained member of the League of Assassins. I'm also ready for Laurel to move past her "I'm angry because I can't mourn my sister because no-one can know that she's dead, so I'll do really stupid and reckless stuff" stage. I also fail to see how dealing with an entire city which now comes under attack on a scarily frequent basis would be that much less stressful for Papa Lance than finding out that one of his daughters is dead.

I really hope that season 3 finds its feet soon. I can see that they're trying to get all the pieces in place, but all this "setting up" seems to be doing more harm than good.

I can't remember what episode but Diggle has worn that mask before in season 2.

I don't know why you have to have an attitude every time you post, but it's getting old. If you don't like where the discussion is going, introduce a new topic or don't participate. Not hard.

Yeah well that's what I've been told.

This was a decent episode.

I am honestly not sure but I believe Diggle mentioned something about him not wanting to wear a costume when he joined with Ollie.

Gee, and I thought I was on a pubic forum where I'm allowed to make comments when a thread has gone badly OT.
I have an idea. If you're tired of my comments, put me on ignore. I won't mind.
