Bridesmaids, only you strip away about 70% of the comedy and replace that with guns and pure feminine testosterone.
LOL @ an all female Expendables
they going for a straight up comedy it seems
I think that somebody important has been watching this thread, it's coincidence that 2 days after it was suggested here and got good feedback they decided to give a female version of expendables the green light. All Female Expendables-Like film given green light - http://afterthecut.com/2012/08/17/all-female-expendables-film-planned/
I just watched it last night at an AMC ETX theater, and it was awesome. There were so many great moments in this.I am oozing with glee right now.
I loved Van Damme as well. I enjoyed his over the top accent of his accent, and he played the villain role well. I'm with you that he needed more screen time, and I felt that theOh God, this was ****ing awesome. Van Damme was a great villain. Could have been in it a bit more, but only because I thought he was so great.
The best thing about this is that it let's you know right off the bat what kind of movie you're getting, and it doesn't apologize for it.The action DELIVERED. I went in wanting a kickass movie with lots of action and cheesy one liners and I got it.

After, that's pretty much what drives these characters.Billy the Kid gets killed
Chuck Norris' scenes were my favorite.
I won't answer the 2nd one because I don't like to give spoilers or possible spoilers away...but the fight scenes were actually REALLY well done. I'm a fan of bringing the camera back a touch and letting the shot go on for 5 seconds or more so we can actually see what goes on. I LOVE the shots in Jackie Chan movies where there is a 15 second shot of beautifully choreography. That being said, Jet Li gets to shine in that way and the other fight scenes are easy to follow and you can see everything that happens.....and you can almost feel the impacts of the punches, especially during Stallone vs Van Damme!Questions
How were the fight scenes, were they choppy and sloppy, or actually choreographed good?
And does Van Damme die?
Question to those that saw it: If I found the first one to be kind of generic and boring, do you think I might still enjoy this one? Or is it generally more of the same? I'm all for a bunch of brainless macho fun...as long as it's actually fun. The first one wasn't to me, so I was just gonna sit this one out, but Van Damme as the villain is tempting me.
What Li does on screen is definitely enough to redeem his absence for the rest of the film.
