The Expendables 2

Cage, Travolta and Biehn better be in this. Now they just need to get Christopher Lambert.

Sounds like Stallone is really trying to crank it up a notch with the sequel.

Has it been confirmed if everyone from the first film will be returning? Like Jet and Dolph?

I'm not sure, but I can't possibly comprehend why they wouldn't return. WTF else are they doing? :o

I hope with all these actors the story is good enough to support them. The first movie was utter crap and I hope they atleast bring it this go around. You can fill a room with hall of famers but if there just sitting around drinking beer then whats the point?

Can't wait to see JCVD and Norris back on the big screen

This movie is shaping up to have one of the coolest ensemble casts in history. I especially can't wait to see

the fight scene between Stallone and JCVD.

As awesome as this is shaping up to be (Stallone fighting JCVD!!), I'm a little concerned based on the plot. It sounds really awesome on the synopsis until the woman gets kidnapped and they gotta save her from a dictator. Wasn't that the first movie?? At least have it be a different threat, something that won't climax on another compound.

Beyond that, I'm super hyped. Loved the first movie, just a pure testosterone-filled action romp. Definitely the best action flick in awhile.

Yeah, the plot sounds pretty lazy. But, it could still see some tweaks before shooting starts.

Why couldnt they do something in the jungle? This should have been the cast for predators.

My assumption is either that or the writers are going for the "it worked for the first, it'll work for a sequel!" method, which didn't entirely work out for Die Hard 2--while I do like it, it's nowhere as fantastic as the first film, which it basically uses as a skeleton.

If anything, they could at least have them try to stop her from doing said mission and end up having a major action scene on a yacht, rather than what we're pretty sure will end up happening :(

CAAAAAGGGGGGGGE!!! Okay, ticket sold.

Also, is Michael Pare in this, or in consideration? Stallone's comments were kinda vague... I wasn't sure if he was just mentioning him off the cuff, or what.

I'd love to see Eddie Wilson in this!

Who in the hell is this Michael Pare guy?

Have you ever seen Eddie & the Cruisers or Streets of Fire? He was in those films. He also was rumored to have been cast in The Punisher movie in the late 80's, although that is disputed. I personally wish he had been though... he would have been the PERFECT Frank Castle, even if the movie still sucked. Alas, we got stuck with Dolph.

Dolph is a better Castle than people give him credit for. :p

So basically he hasn't been in anything big or all that great. So why in the hell do so many fanboys want this nobody in the film when they could go for a bigger action star who's actually famous??

Eddie in the Cruisers was great. It might not have been a big hit, but it's an 80's cult classic, same with Streets of Fire. As for why fanboys want to see him in this film... well, I don't know how many of them truly are, but for myself, I'd like to see him in it since I've always thought he was a good actor that unfortunately never caught on for whatever reason.

And it's not like ALL of these guys are (or were) these big, famous action stars. I'd like to see a show of hands here how many people sat through a Randy Couture or Steve Austin movie before The Expendables.

Randy Couture was one of my biggest complaints about that movie. Somewhat of a nobody who I felt shouldn't have been cast in that film in the first place. Steve Austin, well...he's widely known due to wrestling so it didn't bother me as much since he pretty much is a "name".

Yeah, I kept expecting Randy to go into a pitch for that door gym thing he's always advertising on TV. Plus his voice really bothers me. I guess steroids really do reduce testosterone because he sounds like he's going through puberty when he talks.
