:wow: This is so awesome!

This movie is going to be absolutely insane! Thank God for Sly (he thought of the genius idea).

No, apparently he has scheduling (Or money) conflicts, but his character is being kept alive.

Holy ****. This picture makes me want to look at myself in the mirror and then punch it in the face.

Btw, anybody catch that badass picture on the wall in the back of Sly, Arnie and Willis from the first film?

To Arnie's left is a famous Bulgarian foermer soccer player...and I wonder if he was just shooting a scene..blood and stuff on his face...by the way he looks like he got in better shape! He looks better...

The cast together just screams of awesome!

Really eager to see this one play out.

Those pictures are simply too cool. August 2012 seems so far away now, I'm already impatient for this to come out.

On a side note, Arnold's clearly been working out since he's been out of office, he looks so much better than he did over the past few years when he was Governor. Not looking bad at all for 64 years old.

It's been a while since I've visited this thread. Is there any news on the specific plot of the sequel? BESIDES the obvious, I mean.

Deadline confirmed that Mickey Rourke won't be returning as Tool. He prefered to star in Seven Psychopats instead.

As for the Plot, according to rumors, it is about the Expendables joining forces with Arnold Schwarzenegger's character, Trent Mauser, to fight another team of mercenaries, led by Jean-Claude Van Damme's character, an old enemy of the team. Van Damme's group has been hired by Bruce Willis' character, Mr. Church, who wants revenge against the Expendables for what their interference in Vilena, which resulted in Mr. Church's operation being damaged. Meanwhile, two field CIA agents attempt to expose Mr. Church's criminal activities. These would be the roles intented for Nicolas Cage and John Travolta, I believe.

Cage and Travolta have been only rumored. I don't know if Travolta would be interested. Cage might be interested.

Sounds awesome! So we can presume that Chuck is also another addition to Sly and Arnie's side.

Sounds all sorts of awesome.

The plot sounds very cool. I have a feeling this movie will absolutely blow the first one away and will be universally agreed to be better than the original. Just hope this time the choppy editing and shaky camerawork is done away with along with the CG gore for the movie to be even more old-school.

i really hope this movie is better than the first

I agree. The first movie was ok. Nothing really memorable outside of seeing our favorite action heroes of the past/present in one film.

It seems like Expendables 2 is more of the film the 1st one was intended to be.
