Because every R rated movie needs a strip club scene. It was a tradition in the 80's...

and spots of random nudity. like in commando for the motel scene when they go through the wall and bam.....topless woman.

Haha yeah i remember that scene i was 5 or 6 years old when i watched that movie with my dad and i kinda looked at him and he didn't even bother to forward it.

"Today, son, you take another step towards manhood."

Saw the trailer for this attached to The Darkest Hour. Awesome to see on the big screen. Can't wait for the movie.

Van Damme came to Hong Kong last week and Sly and Charisma Carpenter were spotted on the plane to Hong Kong. They will start shooting today.

There's no way this is going to be PG-13. But if that's the case I wonder if any of the other crew members will try to overturn it. They should.

eff chuck norris.

saving everyone's ass in the movie and keeping the movie from being rated r?

ugh.

Calling bs on that one. I find it very hard to believe that Norris would have that kind of power over the film…especially over Sly.

No ones saying he had control over sly. He said he wouldn't do it if it was an R film and Sly abliged him and chose to make it PG-13. Key being that Sly did it because he wanted Norris in his film. No where does it say anyone was forced to do it. At this point it comes down to how bad Sly wants Norris in the film. If its a lot then we are looking at a PG-13 film.

I trust Stallone will do everything he can to keep the movie R-rated.

CGI blood and new, R-rated versions of the more important scenes.

If Chuck Norris is really going to make this film be a PG-13 rather than an R I hope they cut his part from the movie, I really do.

Why would Chuck Norris want the movie to be PG-13?

So 13 year olds can watch his round house kicks.

^Surely he shouldnt, and couldnt, have that kind of pull on this movie, he was barely a star in the 80's never mind now.

I don't recall anything too graphic in the first one (in fact, I recall being slightly surprised at how relatively tame it was). You can get away with quite a lot in PG-13 movies these days. The only thing we'd really miss is some language.

I really hope the PG13 report is a bunch of BS. I'm not that big of a Norris fan anyway, so I'd rather no Norris and an R rating versus Norris and PG13.

I just prefer a movie like this to not be watered down because of a rating.

WTF? The violence might have been CGI but there was the guy torn into two halfs right in the beginning, lots of blood, Stallone pushing a knife into someone's throat and so on.

I wouldn't mind PG-13, but I'm doubtful it'll be. Stallone will probably add the original dialogue to the scenes without Norris or something of that note.

:awesome: Forgot all about that part.

Still, generally speaking, the movie wasn't nearly as gratuitous with it's violence as other rated R films are. I guess my point is that the movie wouldn't loose it's essence if some things were trimmed down for a "hard" PG-13 rating. I'm not saying I want that, though.
