Only if your preferred flavor of masculinity is the kind that has the opposite sex running for mace and restraining orders, because you radiate "slimey and entitled". Carter Hall didn't radiate confidence, he radiated *false* confidence, like the kind of guy who is absolutely sure of himself regardless of whether he has reason to.
