You said they are bigger than in SR, so I pointed out a major one from SR.

Most "plotholes" people are naming are more like nitpicks than plotholes. Again, I say most. not all. Some are valid.

Plot holes in SR??? Say it isn't so!

I mean sure a piece of Kryptonite the size of a baseball can nearly incapacitate him in Superman one, but we all know he can lift a whole mountain of Kryptonite if he tries really hard! That doesn't mean it's a plot hole.

Here are some I noticed off the top of my head:

1) How is Reed able to stretch his regular clothing as well? Unstable Molocules.

2) If Sue is so worried about being in the lime-light then why have a wedding on a damn roof?
Where else would she have it? A Church that would be over ran by a crowd?

3) Where Willie Lumpkin?
...Who cares He wasn't a major character in the first film.

4) We all know that Alicia is blind but can she not feel the force of the propellers coming at her? Even if she did feel the force wouldn't you be scared stiff if helocopter blades were coming towards you.

5) How did Doom get his costume passed the highly secured military base?
Again, its just a mask and armor, not weapons, plus he was helping the government and was trusted more than Reed.

6) Since Doom was 'cured', why would he even need to wear it?
...You really weren't paying attention were you? In the Castle scene his ancestors wore the Armor, you can clearly see them wearing the armor in one of the paintings.

7) I'm sure this isn't an error but the battle scene took place in China so why did they get married in Japan? Cause Japan is beautiful, and it obviously took place at least 2 days after the battle because Brian Poshen is there.

Since 1992. The US has Military Bases all over the world, the fall of the soviet union opened up Russia so the US put a bunch of Military Bases all over Eastern Europe.

1. Reed figuring out how to reproduce unstable molecules is the only answer, but you're right, it was neither stated nor implied.
2. Just because Sue's sick of the limelight doesn't mean she wants a quicky Vegas wedding. The roof of their own building is easy to secure and keep somewhat private.

4. Alicia could no doubt feel the blades but there was a lot of confusion, she was scared and did not know what to do.

OK, these are the whole reason I replied.
5. Doom was brought in to work on catching the Surfer. Sue catches him working on the gauntlets. The military wouldn't question him bringing in materials and supplies. He may have built the entire suit onsite. The movie doesn't say he did, but it also doesn't show Doom trying to sneak in a suit of armor either.
6. Doom had his power back, but his power was absorbing electricity, not the Power Cosmic. When Doom stepped onto the board the armor lit up from the boots up. It was (IMO) clearly implied that the armor was built specifically to harness the power of the board.

&7. It was China? I thought they were already in Japan. Well wherever they were they had to go back and pick up Alica first.

The biggest is, they established that when you snag another members powers, you lose your own to them, so if Johhny touched everyone at once, he should've become an invisible stretchy rock guy, and the rest of the team should've become lightweight fire-people, each sharing a third of Johnny's power.

You can make up reason after reason to explain it, but the fact is that they should've talked about it in the movie.

Lets look at the other unexplained aspects of that. Not only did Johnny retain his own power, but he was able to control Ben's power.
Then he was able to return everyone's individual powers one at at time, rather than transferring all the power to the next person he touched.
And finally, after that, he was cured of power swapping.
So the logical conclusions are:
a. absorbing multiple powers at once is simply different than individual power swapping, and
b. absorbing multiple powers was the "cure"

I can dig the multiple powers absorbing being different to singular power absorbing, they needed to show it somewhere else though..

as for being cured, i think it was merely having the surfer around him, similarly to how doom was cured by having the surfer around him. I am sure doom will go back to having a scarred face as well since the surfer has now left earth.

no, in the novelisation it says that when Johnny pushed the Surfer up into Galactus at the end, the Surfer changed him back.

nice that it is in the novel. but if it was not in the movie it is not explained which makes it strange.

they are here bigger than in SR for example IMO.

I personally think superman has relatively small loop holes as well but the ones it does have kinda affect the flow of the story and are more to do with reactions to certain events and his relationship with his son.

Those plot holes as well as the kryptonite ones and general luthor goals are more obvious than the small ones noticed here for fantastic four:rise of the silver surfer...

I thought it was pretty self-explanatory.....surfer gone....Johnny back to normal........I don't want a scientific explanation of everything that goes on.....I'm there to be entertained, not taught a science lesson....

I never really have to "turn off" my brain to ejoy films like this...I understand that its all scifi/fantasy and 90% of the things going on in them most likely wouldn't happen in real life. There wasn't anything major in FF that bothered me...except for the defeat of Galactus, I dont understand how he can be defeated by his own creation ...but other then that its simple.

It might be because surfer is an alien. Maybe he has high energy detection....because remember by that time surfer didnt have the power cosmic...he was already seperated from his board so the Surfer being able to detect sue doesn't necessarily have to do with the power cosmic.
But then again I didnt read much about Silver Surfer so I dont know if Norrin Radd actually had special abilities before he turned to a herald

I did love the scene with Johnny helping the Surfer, that was so cool. And the little smile that the Surfer gave him as well when he turned around.

While not a plot hole more something I thought would have been more in character for Doom would have been for him to kill the guy who was helping him remove his mask after seeing Dooms face not before.
Other than that it has a couple nitpick parts but over all was a GREAT movie IMO anyways.

Maybe it was the surfer as a man who sensed her and not as a hearld of Glacttus because remember that he didn't have his powers at that time.

it's a cosmic spear, it makes cosmic holes...that dissapear with the spear when that is also gone...

besides it was a really low rating, they can't put anything like that in the film...
