Ben, being Jewish, could be the victim of a circumcision gone wrong and more was cut off than planned. :o

Ben, being Jewish, is going to have some explaining to do about that Thing themed bacon cheeseburger he ate at Denny's.

This thread is hilarious, I'd love it if Marvel got the rights back but decided to make a Fantastic Four movie not set in the MCU. Oh, and then they make Reed an impoverished Fillipino, Ben an Israeli immigrant, both Johnny and Sue black this time and get Tom Cruise to play Dr. Doom just cause.

Or not, but I'd find it hilarious if they did.

And I'd bet the end result would still feel more like a FF movie than this does.

Hello guys.
I haven't been following news for a while, even though not following this turd isn't exactly something one has to go out of ones way to do... But I heard about something that wanted to check with you... Is it true Hobo Doom is no longer a technopath, but he's now an earth bender?.. And still Hobo Doom?

Yeah I only discovered it had been passed because I happened to click on their Feed (which had a broken link), it hadn't been put on their site or twitter.

And yup 99min 50sec which fits with the 100minutes the Alberta rating gave it. I think thats the film length settled.

They probably meant it FELT like two hours, because of how bad it is.

:awesome:

Doesn't "nearly two hours" imply it's closer to 120 minutes than 90 minutes? 99 minutes is is 9
minutes from 90, and 21 mintues from two hours. Gee, if that person can't be accurate about the time how can we trust anything he says? Or should I say anything HE WAS TOLD TO SAY?

Awesome job on being the one to find it! Great detective work! You made my day. I was so hoping that the time would prove that they cut out at LEAST 30 minutes from Tranks STATED 130 minutes run time he mentioned after principal photography finished late last year.
I wonder howmuch Fox paid the BBFC to hide that page. LOL

So they cut 30 minutes from his estimated 130 run time. But wait! There were extensive reshoots. So actually there was MORE cut from Tranks version than 30. It's 30 minutes plus however many minutes that the current 99 minutes version is comprised off. This PROVES Trank's original version was S**T. However bad the final version was--imagine how bad the original was.

Oh my Christ. I know I'm late to a lot of the new developments - frankly, I forgot this move was even coming out until I read about the review embargo - but I just saw a TV spot that finally had Thing talking and just had to say something about it. So it's just going to be Bell's voice, with no other modulation or changes due to him becoming a giant rock monster? Is that really how it's going to sound?

Jesus H. ****, people are going to actually laugh in the the theater at this movie.

Yep. That's the way it's looking.

It's super, super bad.

I know Ultron had some clips online where his voice wasn't finished being edited yet, and I even said it sounded weird but was proven to just be jumping the gun when the finished movie came out.

This is a new level of WTF - Thing's voice can only be good if it sounds nothing like whatever THAT was that I heard, not just if it got some tweaking. It's literally the opposite of how any comic book reader would imagine Thing to sound, and that astounds me.

And I hope I'm proven wrong, but that seems to be a good metaphor for this whole movie. "It can still be good, it just has to be nothing like what we've seen or heard so far."

The Denny's ads, and really any type of tie-in advertising that's not for movies explicitly for kids, are cringe worthy as hell too.

It's not even about it being explicitly for kids. Miles Teller flat out said this movie isn't for kids.

A superhero movie starring the Fantastic Four isn't for kids.

I know it's not, and that's why I'm saying it makes the Denny's ads cringe-worthy, and I feel the same about similar movies that have tie-in advertising like that. Like its something that belongs with Minions, not this.

But obviously it's never going away because there's money to be had by making Thing eat at Denny's.

I would describe 'nearly two hours' as being something like 115 minutes. Certainly not less than 110 minutes.

And that's 100 minutes with credits kids, they always count the credits. In 2015 a 100+mil Superhero team movie is going to run less than 1 hour and 50 minutes.

So unless this film is like the original Robocop and uses every single one of it's minutes to it's full advantage I believe there will be complaining about the short length. When I say short length I'm not saying that the film should be 2 and a half hours, I'm saying that like the original X-Men it's going to feel rushed. Unlike the original X-Men it's being made in 2015 so there is no reason for Fox to put out some rushed film. Also unlike the original X-Men, I doubt it's going to be a decent film.

Have you seen the bits where Sue is left behind for the Negative Zone sequence, but later gets powers anyway when her computer console explodes? Or that she is actually an adopted Kosovo refugee?

The long list of suck just goes on and on and on.

It's going to be rushed and feel disjointed and be a mess.

Maybe it's just Trank's concept - Chronicle was pretty short for a movie with 84 minutes and it was good. It was found footage type though, but it surely tells us something about it.
