The FFINO ZONE - Part 2

Add me to the group that thinks DOFP is over rated, XFC too. I like The Wolverine a lot more than either, and more than most people here. X2 is still the best of that bunch.

So, is ot confirmed that the film won't be released in China?

I think DoFP is a good movie. It's flawed and doesn't necessarily stand up well to the comic it was adapting, but it was a solid entry in the movie franchise.

It falls apart with multiple viewings.

I think we need to all start looking on the bright side. In a couple more years, Disney will finally be giving us a well done, long awaited movie about a group of four superheroes.

It'll be called Incredibles 2.

It's certainly not a bad movie - just overrated (and for me personally - very disappointing after all the glowing praise.) I'm just glad I never paid to see it in the theater. Actually the last Fox Marvel film I saw in the theater was First Class. And after what they've now done to FF it looks like that will indeed be my last.

The Radio Times: Fantastic Four is "a tedious, underwhelming and hardly fantastic experience" - the Radio Times review

http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015...fantastic-experience---the-radio-times-review

After one renegade 1994 adaptation (churned out for rights-retention reasons) and two previous attempts a decade ago by 20th Century Fox to make the first family of Marvel Comics a viable film franchise, the studio should stop right now if this latest chaotic reboot is anything to go by. For once more, the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby-created property emerges as a distinctly average adventure on practically every level, its staunch refusal to work in any shape, size or form – in these days of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy conquering all before them – should be a stern warning. Perhaps a TV translation along the lines of Agents of SHIELD would be a better and more appropriate bet?

25 WTF Moments From Fantastic Four

Whether you like the movie or not (critics are tearing into it), it’s tough to deny that it’s full of bizarre creative choices and weird moments that, while differentiating it from the 2005 movie, don’t necessary suggest that the film’s success is anything close to certain.
From an unexpected cameo to an accident scene sure to become infamous among comic book fans and a villain likely to ignite much discussion this weekend, here are 25 WTF moments from Fantastic Four…

First Class is easily the best X-Men movie.

I liked First Class a lot, but what kinda always bugged me about it was how quickly Erik and Charles became enemies in the climax. It felt like they were rushing to draw the lines in the sand, and have anyone get on their sides.

It's between X2 and DOFP for me.

****, I forgot Jack Jack would be all grown up if it takes place years later, so it'll be a story about a family of five fantastic heroes, not four. Nevermind.

All is lost.

It's simple. View Jack Jack as She-Hulk. :p

"As if it wasn’t already clear that the film was in trouble, an early scene practically seals the deal, when Dr. Storm shows up at Victor von Doom’s (Toby Kebbell) messy, tiny apartment (yes, he’s no longer called Victor Domashev as originally planned) to recruit him for his dimensional experiment, and the guy is playing video games with tons of hair and looking like he hasn’t bathed in about a month."

Speaking of which, She-Hulk must be the only (cynical or not) comics-related rights grab that resulted in an actual quality product (Stan & co did it to prevent TV companies from creating and thus owning rights to a female Hulk).

So are the characters really 16 in the film? If so why didn't they get younger actors to play the four?

One of the weirder aspects of F4 is just how often characters appear and then perform vanishing acts for lengthy periods of time. Here’s a few examples: Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) spends a few scenes with Reed at the start and then completely exits the movie for roughly countless scenes before re-appearing. Then later on, after the gang have been transformed, Reed escapes and disappears for a while. And, of course, after his accident, Doom spends a whole half hour completely off-screen.

It’s almost enough to make you think that the production couldn’t schedule the actors to be together often enough or something; because seeing the foursome share the screen ahead of the final sequence is very rare.

They did seem to be off doing their own thing instead of ever being at Baton Rouge.

What happened to the Fox/X-Men fans who were defending this movie for over a year? All the talk of haters, but it seems most were just right.

Well I was willing give this movie the benefit of the doubt at one point, but clearly I was wrong and I don't mind admitting that.

X2 is 10/10 for me. My favorite superhero film of all time still. It seems to use every little moment for its own good.

DOFP perhaps 9/10, very good. I'm still surprised how well it worked, because almost every aspect of it could've been a horrible disaster. There certainly are flaws, not going for a denial mode here. I'm glad I'm able to brush most of them off. Which I couldn't do with COUGH x3 COUUUGGGH, no matter how hard I tried.

First Class gets a lot of deserved praise for revitalizing X-Men. Imagine if it would've been a stinking pile of vomit and ****, things could be very, very different now.

Wow, The Thing has 43 confirmed kills? And Tim Blake Nelson signed for a villain and gets renamed and killed off? :loco:

He doesn't have much luck with comic book villains, but at least they didn't rename his character in post and kill him off with TIH.

So Ben Grimm is a scrawny teenager with a high-pitched voice who gets turned into a sexless rock monster and then kills people. And after a hard day of violently ending lives, he stops by his local Denny's to indulge in a non-kosher heart-attack burger.

Nailed it.
