The FFINO ZONE - Part 2

I'm not going to watch this in theatres. Not worth my money. Might check out if it comes out on Netflix or something.

So what's up with the die-hard supporters of this flick? It's like they just mysteriously vanished.

Even in all the other threads? They won't come in this one. Where are Cyclops is right, Psychokolossus, the question, the guard etc? Can't remember who else.

Man the F4 deserve so much better. :(
They truly are great characters, with tons of potential for a film full of heart and fun. The Thing could be a breakout fan-favorite scene stealer.

CyclopsWasRight has my respect. He has stuck around and taken his lumps. The rest have evacuated post haste back to their corner of the forum.

I dunno, I only follow a few threads. Also don't forget Paradox.

They've all conveniently disappeared. Remember that one person claiming this movie would be at a 80-90% on RT? He hasn't posted here in a few days.

Amidst all the jokes and without stating the obvious, there's really not much to add to the discussion or say until we see the film. I'm not surprised by these reviews in the least. I expected a pile on. It's disappointing, but again, stating the obvious there. I do notice that a lot of the reviews are very positive about the first half of the movie, and even about this version of the mythos, even Tranks vision...sounds like the third act is what really drags the movie down. An oddly high number of reviewers are questioning whether the Four can be properly adapted to film. Didn't really expect that.

I totally agree and I really hope Fox just gives up on making F4 movies or having anything to do with the F4 after this crap flops. 3 times and they still haven't made a good movie...MS would be able to do an awesome F4 movie, they'd probably do a great Silver Surfer solo movie too...I really hope they get the rights back so they could be in Phase 4...T_T

I think the F4 would be a PERFECT fit for Marvel's style. Marvel Studios films may not get real dark and serious, but they do have lots of heart, and really make you love the characters. I wasn't even a huge fan of Ant-Man before his movie, and now I love the character.
I want that for the Fantastic Four.

Trank's vision would've been fine if he was making his own modestly budgeted sci-fi movie.

However, because it's fantastic four it completely clashes with that result. His vision is lost and the characters have poor characterizations, ridiculous dialogue and weak chemistry.

On some level, I can get the appeal. There are parts that are like cool underdog kids movies like Explorers, Space Camp, ET etc. You can clearly see what Trank wanted to do. It just doesn't work at all.

To be fair to our distinguished fellow posters: they might just be on spoiler lockdown. And even if they are avoiding this place because they don't want to eat crow, I don't blame them. No one wants to get niggled about being wrong.

Where do I fall? I was cautiously optimistic about this until I heard about the review embargo and then changed my tune. I plan on sticking around since the backlash against Ghost Rider 2 and TASM2 got Sony to give up on those properties and I want Fox to give up the FF since they had three tries to get it right.

Exactly. I enjoyed Ant-Man a lot too BTW...the first act was a little slow (which is why it's not higher up on my ranking), but when it got going it got going. I'm glad it didn't end up a mess like this, and I'm happy for its success. I'm really excited to see Ant-Man in CW now ([BLACKOUT]and Hope!Wasp wherever she may pop up in Phase 3. I LOVE THAT COSTUME.[/BLACKOUT]).

You may live... for now.:oldrazz:

Yes! The Thing would be the next Groot. As some have said before, Thing is the closest that Marvel has to a Pixar character. He's the heart of the team, not the after-thought assassin.

Remember everyone, this isn't the kind of movie that reviews well. And by that kind of movie, I mean a really crappy one.

Who was the one who continued to say that we can't gather any consensus from reviews, but can from pre-released material?
