The FFINO ZONE - Part 2

Film still hasn't had its opening weekend yet ;)

Yeah, but if this tops Rise of the Silver Surfer's $58 million, I'll . . . why I'll . . .

. . . I'll go and see it. That's how sure I am that it won't happen.:cwink:

hell management changes occur all the time. maybe the new boss hates superheroes and axes them to make room for more projects by his own people. Nobody can say for certain what could happen.

That's how Dr. Who originally got cancelled. BBC brass at the time hated it.

Also, remember, Fox studios and Fox television are separate entities. As different as Fox News is to Fox Television.

Fox studio can always say no to giving up FF. A decision will have to probably come from the Murdochs.

Oh great...looks like Ike will have to sacrifice his first born then...

X-Men's locked up for a few years regardless. Improve the business relationship now. The MCU X-Men reboot can happen after a new deal improves relations (which is basically the way the Spidey situation went down).

Yeah, I can totally see Fox swapping Fantastic Four movie rights for the X-men Television rights, and then down the road if relations improve Fox could make a deal with Marvel not unlike the one that Sony made with Marvel to interconnect their relaunched X-men universe with the MCU. It would be a beautiful day I tell you.

Surfer

Rolling Stone gave this movie 0/4.

Zero.

Everyone pretends to be excited by Reed's invention, a teleporter which can transport a monkey into an alternate dimension. Since this movie has no dimension at all, everyone is envious of the monkey.

:hehe:

I don't necessarily care or expect the supporters to come here hat in hand OR need them to admit to anything. But, unless they are all waiting to see the movie in the next few days, they are pretty much nowhere to be seen.

Yikes. I have to admit the reviews for this movie have been hilarious. I'm almost glad Fox went ahead with this film for the hilarious reviews alone.

In other news Denny's have announced a new addition to their menu:

The Fan4Stick - A tasty kebab made from 100% pure turkey

:woot:

fox has completely ruined whatever future value that fantastic four movies have under their supervision.

And I don't think they can branch out and successfully make spinoffs like a silver surfer solo film. They really should start looking into some deal with marvel.

So, after a night of drinking, Victor, Reed and Dr. Storm’s son who has been helping out, Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), all get mad that they don’t get to be the first ones to use the interdimensional machine, so they decide to just go. Out of the blue, Reed invites Ben (who has really nothing to do with any of this), and off the four go to Planet Zero. So, yes, Doctor Doom literally gets everyone drunk, which sets off all the problems. Let that be a lesson, kids: If you drink alcohol, you will one day be Doctor Doom.
:lmao:

Even if Marvel makes a deal, it does not mean Disney/Marvel would give Fox X-Men TV rights for perpetuity like what Arad allowed. Marvel/Disney simply don't need to, they are not desperate or bankrupt. There will be more reasonable terms and I doubt Fox will push it if they want the show.

and this show would take place in the movie universe, marvel will definitely want something in return that is worthwhile.

IMHO, Teller's Reed Richards is closer to what Peter Parker should be than Reed.

I hope that happens.

I see you guys were listing bad CB films and Supergirl was mentioned.

Do yourself a favor and watch that piece of ****. It's funny. Even the bad guy (or woman) has a great motivation: she wants to have intimate relations with a younger man. And Supergirl likes to learn how to work at an office. Watch it with a bunch of friends. If FF is indeed completely joyless and void of emotion, Supergirl beats it easily.

Now that an FF sequel or reboot is off the table, and FOX is coming into a time crunch to have the show ready for Fall 2016, Marvel has all the bargaining power. I think that a three show TV deal in exchange for the live rights to the FF character family would be a fair exchange.

Kebbell has voiced his desire to see the character square off against the Avengers down the line; while a collaboration between Marvel Studios and Fox won’t necessarily happen anytime soon, it’s clear that Fox is paying close attention to fan response to the new Fantastic Four. Depending on how well the film performs at the box office (and with the general public), the fate of that much-talked-about Fantastic Four and X-Men crossover may hang in the balance.

it's a fair trade... Disney/Marvel can't do anything with the X-men TV rights (in live action) anyway... but there's alot of value for Marvel to have the Fantastic Four character catalog... it's a win/win

we're talking Doom, Wizard, Frightful Four, Annihilus, Watcher, Mole Man, Puppet Master, Galactus, Kang... and loads of alien races

if the bolded portion is truly the case, I sure hope Fox is standing by to make a call to Kevin Feige.

Wouldn't it be great if they let Fox have full rights to X-Men in exchange for FF but also had the option to make their own versions of select character a la Wolverine, Magneto, Charles Xavier etc...?
