Plus, it's during the day whereas that shot is at night plus we see he drops into some kind of military base.

EDIT: Domashev! :argh: :o

I've been trying to do some research into Constantin Film since people keep bringing it up. I haven't found much yet, but I am finding some phenomenal things on stuff they do that isn't Fantastic Four. This, for example:

This company has apparently made a film about Hitler and the dog from Frasier.

...somehow I think Marvel could clear up any issues with these guys with a check. I really think we just need to worry about Fox.

Are people sure that this scene of Ben dropping out of a helicopter has been cut? He seems to drop out of something when he lands in the woods to confront Reed. Unless it's not the same scene.

From what I can gather....the scene is completely cut.

Many have asked about that scene and the scene where Ben rips off the tank turret and throws it and it disintegrates in the explosion. I have seem many say the drop scene does not exist in the movie.....but that the tank turret one can be seen on a video monitor being watched by someone in the back ground.

As are shots of Sue and Johnny using their powers from the trailers. It's just the abridged version of the second act on monitors while Tim Blake Nelson tells you what they cut. "We gave them suits, they can use their powers fine now, The Thing is our awesome new weapon and we wanna make more."

No, this got exaggerated. The actual report (from Justanotherguy) indicated that someone working on the film told him that Trank was ignoring Mara and berating her and trying to make her feel "invisible". The person describing it said he thought he was Hitchcock or something.

For a guy who keeps whining about how he got picked on in school Manboobs seems awful happy to dish it out to someone else.

Hey well, Ive made this point a bunch of times in other threads and I think a lot of Trank's supporters choose to ignore it so I'll say it again:

It's very telling that the rest of the FF cast rushed to Teller's defense when he was getting bad PR, but when it came to Trank they were all silent.

I dont see anyone can reasonably spin that. There is no way to spin in any other way.

It bears repeating. Also look at how quick they were to back Teller up after the Esquire piece. It speaks volumes.

Looks like Trank became his own worst enemy. In more ways than one.

What are the very last few lines of the movie? For some reason the audio cut out just a few seconds before the end after Johnny makes some mean comment about the Thing that nobody wants (unless that was a comment referring to this movie).

And the 3rd act was like some b movie made in the 1980s or even the 1950s. Some of it was slightly reminiscent of Masters of the Universe except that film was better.

Something along the lines of:

Reed: "Don't worry, we all know you could beat him up."

A few other lines, I think, that I forget, then:

Ben: "It's fantastic."
Reed: "Say that again."
Ben: "It's fantastic."
Reed: "That's it. I think I've got a name for us..."

The special effects definitely look very cartoony and like something from the 40s, especially Johnny's fire at the end. It's like something from an old Disney cartoon like Fantasia.

Thanks. The ending was very corny.

And that film felt way longer than 100 minutes. The first hour dragged. I count 8 years in all that I was watching it, since it said 7 years later and one year later.

COllider posted some behind the scenes/b-roll stuff.

The Fantasticar, or an early/bootleg version of it. From the looks of it, Reed, Sue, & Johnny use it to travel to Planet Zero; I assume to save Ben.

The thing I really didn't like about the ending was Johnny making fun of Ben. "How about 2 guys, a girl, and a thing nobody wanted!"

That wasn't funny it was just being a d***. Maybe because Ben and Johnny didn't have any rapport or chemistry before that, but it just mad Johnny an a**hole

Yep. That came out of nowhere. You don't just make jokes about someone even in real life if you don't have a certain rapport with them in the first place. It's only because there is that rapport that saying these things can work and not be taken the wrong way. Ben and Johnny didn't have any of it. In fact, it seems as if they didn't even know each other, and certainly not anymore than two work colleagues who happen to work in the same office. Would you say that about one of your office co-workers out of the blue and expect it to be taken in good spirits?

Exactly. It was random and cruel. There was no relationship to begin with because Ben did one of his many disappearing acts and isn't seen again until right before the experiment. At which point they meet for the first time and the only interaction there is the clip from the trailers where Johnny plays with his seat.

Well, I found a way to see this film. I could not get past the first 20 minutes before I gave up. It failed to capture my attention. The actors were all sleeping through their performances from what I saw.

Plus, I saw a lot of dumb stuff within that first 20 minutes. Reed's teacher, Ben being a child abuse victim, Victor creeping on Sue, getting kids from a high school science fair to work on official dimensional travel, etc ...

Maybe I'll finish this movie at some point. I just don't feel like it now. The movie couldn't even get me to watch the entire thing for free. :\

Nothing beyond that was ever alleged, but when some people wanted to paint those of us who didn't like what we were hearing as wackos, they created exaggerated claims and then accused us of creating false and awful rumors because we were 'haters'.

Which is so ironic, because outside of the scene where she's phasing in and out, and where she's testing her powers, she never turns invisible for the rest of the film. She uses lots of force fields and turns other things invisible, but she never does.

Local-ish drive-in posted their weekly facebook ad. Check out the double bill on screen 1. They might as well stay closed this weekend (or just show MI5 on both screens)

That's one of the things that annoyed me. The film was already bad, but having to notice that she never used it for the rest of the film bothered me even more.

I think the whole Ben being a child abuse victim is wayyyy overblown. That was his older brother picking on him, and getting physical with him. There are definitely older siblings like that out there. And Ben showed no signs of abuse. Plus his mom in this movie was a bad-a** and defended him.

One of the latest tv spots gave her more dialogue in scenes where in the the theatrical release she had next to known. Plus the majority of the deleted scenes we've seen and heard of had her playing a larger role. While I think Trank does struggle with female characters, I think there was a lot more of Sue in this that was cut out. When she did use her powers though, I thought they looked pretty darn good.
