Days of Future Past The First EPIC ACTION Scene: Cuba attack

I think it is Banshee because of the stripes on his costume, I think it's a nod to his comic costume since his cape is striped. Havok has the rings, I guess Banshee will have the stripes but on the suit.

It's definitely Banshee. That's Dan Brown, Caleb's stunt double in that shot

Cool, good to know.

I don't think it'll happen.

Yeah if theres no cape being added and thats how he looks, then that will probably be the case. I would think they would want a visual cue on the suit if they want him to fly in the film.

January, James or another actor said the some of the actors were using wirework....

so I suppose there will be more than one flying mutant.

My bet is Angel and Banshee, at the very least.

Wirework doesnt necessarily mean flying. They could just be thrown around from blasts etc.

Right. And Azazel, who doesn't fly, but will probably fight very much like Nightcrawler did in the opening scene of 'X2', would need wires. Mystique would need wires since they seem to be focusing mainly on her film-added ability of extreme flexibility and agility (examples: the fight between her and Wolverine in the first film where she reverse jumps and walks up a pole; the scene where she infiltrated Stryker's lair in the second film; the interrogation scene in the third film.) Beast will use wires with all the jumping he'll do unless they decide to go the CGI route. And anyone being hit by Riptide probably has some wires on them. 'Same with those hit by Havok's beams.

I do find it curious, however, why Caleb Landry Jones needs a stunt double, if he's simply jumping into water. Granted, I realize it could be for any number of safety reasons, but it seems like there may be more to that scene than meets the eye. Who knows?

I assumed there was. IMDB lists an entire under water crew.

really???

interesting!! cant wait for some action under water, hehe

Well some people can't swim...

Yes by some people I meant me. Happy?! :csad:

Could be any number of reasons. If Caleb can't swim, that's the answer. Even if he can, it could be for safety/insurance reasons, especially for a complex scene. Looks like the stuntman is diving on a mission, rather than just falling in the water.

It makes me curious about the use and portrayal of Banshee's power. Why is he in this scene unless he is going to put his powers to good use? He can't scream underwater without taking in a load of water and potentially drowning. Perhaps they will make his ultrasonics like those of (some) whales, somehow emitted from within (with no need for opening the mouth and exhalation).

Also, Darwin would seem the ideal mutant for underwater activities as he would grow gills and become amphibious/aquatic.

I think at this point I am most intrigued with how they will use Darwin in this movie, seeing as he can adapt to any situation/environment I believe?

The second before you drown.

Hopefully a little earlier...by having swimming lessons from an instructor...

(My mother didn't learn to swim until she was in her 40s. It's easier when you are a kid, but nevertheless...)

I still really think this is Magneto. I don't think they'd make a stunt double that obvious.

Mags doesnt have red hair. Its probably Banshee, well maybe his stunt double. It could be Mystique. Who knows for certain, but my money is on Banshee.

We already established it was Banshee further up this very page...

it was a joke!!!!

LOL

thats a man, dont you see it well??? lol

So there was no need for you to say it was 'probably Banshee' when we had established it was Banshee (or at least his stunt double). It was like you hadn't even read the preceding messages...:whatever:
