The Flash costume thread

Well... If you think about it, it kinda makes sense. If The Flash & not Barry Allen makes a cameo appearance in BvS, and already has a villain in Captain Boomerang, then that means that Barry has already had the accident, which means he has already discovered his powers, which means that he already knows how to travel in time, thus him being a literal time traveler. See what I'm getting at?

Basically, this Flash has been to the future and back on many occasions, which means that he has seen and lived in the Apocalpse hence the post-apocalyptic-esque armor/suit.

Or... We get a glimpse of a possible future in BvS maybe where we see Barry and AquaMomoa?

"Post-Apocalyptic Suit" is such a vague description I have no idea what to make of it. Hopefully we'll get pictures as soon as possible.

It showed him with medium lenght hair. People said long hair because it is longer than usual for Barry, but it's not really long hair.

From the pic taken and the descriptions, it's something like this

Didn't the SDCC concept art show him with medium length hair?

You guys know what I mean. :funny:
Short compared to the hair he's had for a while.

I think we all originally thought the idea was "Flash comes from the future", but I like the idea that he is from the present, but travels through time a lot. However, he should know better, because it's something dangerous.

We aren't sure if Flash and Captain Boomerang have faced before... Could have been Superman who catched him if Barry hasn't received his powers.

It was Batman, apparently

So, I'm assuming the costume won't have yellow lenses, right? I think people would mention it... but there's also the possibility that they couldn't see clearly.

Do you guys think it would be better with or without lenses? Many complaints about Ezra's looks are based on his eyes.

Or post-apoc could just mean he's wearing shoulderpads and has a spiked club...

Why? Not saying many years but maybe 5?

I don't mind that aspect of the character per se, it's just that I am hoping he won't be already fully established, that if we're not going to get an origin film for the Flash, that he'll at least still be rather early in the career and time-traveling doesn't really work that well early on. At least to me. I'd rather have him coming to that stage with his powers later and us seeing him gradually becoming faster during the course of films.

Boomerang could predate the Flash though, but yeah it seems that he is already the Flash in BvS. Anyway, I am not fond of that idea for reasons already stated above.

Well.. They didn't say all of them. However I'd like that was catched by Superman. Who knows maybe Batman or even Barry if it's already established catch him.. I doubt Boomerang lives in Gotham therefore out of Batman's jurisdiction. So probably Superman, Flash or another hero, maybe even Central City PD?

Flash shouldn't have shoulder pads. It looks wrong and bulky.

Part of me wonders if the fans comparing it to the TDK suit simply didn't know of any other references and that's all they could think of. I just can't see them making a bulky armored Flash.

Depends, i like the Injustice ones. They don't look bulky at all.

Yeah, it most probably has to do that when going for a reference people tend to think along the lines of superhero costumes only, and TDK one is still pretty fresh in memory and probably a "superhero" suit that is closest to the one seen in that concept art.

Hell, I am also kinda guilty when it comes to limiting my thoughts this way - I never thought of Tron costume until it was brought up by Alien Anal.

Few people have made the Injustice/DCUO games comparison as well though. And he is not going to be bulky, it is usually described as quite streamlined.

When I mentioned shoulderpads, I was more referring to this:

Damn, you took that "post-apocalyptic" line quite literally didn't you? :oldrazz:

God... I really dislike any of these designs that insist upon those Lee mandated yellow lines. It really is a cluttered look for a character that has usually had a streamlined aesthetic.

They do tend to look busy sometimes, but I believe that, in live-action, they're needed to break all the red.

I have more of an issue with yellow boots. I don't like the look and I think that some sort of built-in sneakers would work better for Flash.

I think they look fine, in the real world. Ofcourse in the comics it doesn't look nice, but if we do plain and red to the suit for live actions it going to look plain and boring. The tv show version is all red and fabric, it looks odd sometimes, but the other times its perfect..

I know this is a quicksilver picture, but if they do the suit along these lines with some yellow streaks and the rest being red, then that would look sick..

The tron suit will work very well as a flash suit too

(some one edit this into Ezra Miller Flash)

I was talking to someone on Reddit who saw the Flash concept art at Comic-Con and this is what he said about the costume:

By his description, it definitely sounds like the Injustice Flash suit, but more streamlined.

BEAUTIFUL!!!....:ilv:
