That banned source got their caps from another website; the Flash TV website (albeit not an officially licensed one).

Thoughts
OMG I loved this episode...so much awesomeness
Firestorm oh yeah
Connor Hawke teaser

This was amazing... one of the best superhero fights of all time.

Plus, all of the comedy was on point.

Especially that show of Ollie landing from his second grapple attempt, it was a long shot and just beautiful. We haven't even got that in a Batman film...

Supergirl
The Flash
Green Lantern
Green Arrow
Black Canary
The Atom
Firestorm

Awesome episode, two of my favorite shows crossing over. Had me so giddy haha

Gotham city was mentioned in Lois & Clark and Burton's Batmobile was seen as well.

Also, in one episode Superman is captured by a recurring time traveling villain, and he tells him something along the lines of "...or are you waiting for the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder to come to your rescue...??"

For some reason, I remember that vividly, even tho I don't remember the villian's name...("Metron", maybe??)

Polux

It's just amazing to me to think about how we just got an episode of TV starring The Flash & Green Arrow with Rainbow Raider and including references to Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, Huntress, Deathstroke, Palmer Technologies with a
Firestorm cameo
(for those who haven't watched.
It shouldn't really surprise me at this point but it still does. very cool.

Anyone notice that the red eyes from this ep are very similar to Zoom's from the comics? Black with red pupils.

Judging from this spy pic of Zoom vs Barry

I'm thinking that.

Zoom is Wells or Eddie injected with the powers of all the metahumans he's faced in Season 1. The pic has him with Girder's powers. Not a stretch to think that he has the red eyes also.

could you agree that this was the coolest thing in the history of television?

It's Eobard Thawne, from the 25th Century.

Thawne comes from a future where the Allens and the Thawnes are feuding families, right? This is where it starts. Barry's gonna end up with Iris, and Eddie is gonna despise him for it. Their breakup won't be amicable, and his friendship with Barry will crumble. He'll forever hate Barry for ruining his chance at happiness, a hate which will only grow when he discovers that Barry is the Flash. Based on last night's episode, he's not too fond of the Scarlet Speedster.

This feud between Barry and Eddie will carry on into the future through their families, eventually reaching Eobard.

Eobard Thawne, Eddie's great great great great great great great grandson

that my theory

With the crossover completed, I will watch it back-to-back as if it's a Flash/ Arrow movie.

I thought that was going to be the only way to watch it.Ironically, the episodes are actually very "stand alone" in nature.I mean, when you get the DVD/Bluray and you're going through Flash season 1,you won't have to pop in disc two of Arrow season 3 right after. You could pretty much view both seasons without crossing over.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed by that but it makes sense in that light. I think we were all expecting an epic two night mini movie.

I'm actually very glad they did it that way. I don't normally watch Arrow. As a fan of non-New 52 Green Arrow comics I just cant stand the quasi Batman approach the show takes with his character and characterization at all. Especially since the comic books moved away from that during the Silver Age which is over 40 years ago.

With that said I actually enjoyed the Arrow episode a lot better than the one from Tuesday. It just felt much more accurate to what the Flash means to me than the actual Flash episode ever did.

As someone who always prefers comic books to media adaptations I was curious how they'd make Flash and GA as best super buds work. Especially considering that traditionally in the comic books they don't get along at all and are always at odds with each other.

Matter of fact the only reason they always come to some middle ground is because of their mutual best friend Hal Jordan. I have to say I'm impressed with what they've done with this new dynamic.

They did meet on heaven

On another note, I honestly wonder on who's in charge of supervising the visual effects for anything related to the Flash on the CW (including his crossover portion on "Arrow").

I know they're working on a television budget and all, but I can't believe that this is the best that they could come up with, let alone that they would want to put out in their final product. Whenever these shots came out, it really took me out on what would have normally been an "awesome sequence".

There were plenty of moments on "Smallville" where they were able to create slow motion sequences that used the real actor in a believable and great looking way as opposed to using a complete and unconvincing looking CGI model instead, so it's not like it would have been impossible for them on their budget.

They aren't necessarily meant to be paused and analyzed. They're live action.

What's wrong with the second picture?

I agree but the second one. But the first one looked great. I don't see how that was a problem. When it comes to Smallville I know that I heard that Smallville had a bigger budget form like season 1 to 5 then it did once it got onto the CW. On the CW the budget went down and I think around season 8 the budget went down again. Smallville had a lot less action in seasons like 6-10 then it did before when it had the higher budget. I think that was because of the budget going down. Now of course flash is newer but it would be interesting to now how dose flashes budget compared to Smallvilles budget of seasons like 1-5 of how it compares to Smallvilles 6-10 budget.
