*Insert Darth Vader Nooooooooooooooo meme*
The thing that actually bothers me, is that things are too similar between the two earths. Pretty much every character that exists on Earth-1, also exists on Earth-2 in some shape or form. But some events did unfold differently. Like both Earths have a Green Arrow/Hood, but on Earth-2 it's Ollie's father who made it to the island. So maybe on Earth-2, Henry's mother brought two healthy boys into the world, while on Earth-1, Henry's brother died, but his parents never told him.
Yeah, I know, now it's getting really convoluted. But honestly, I think it will be convoluted either way. If Wesley Shipp, is the man in the Iron Mask, that means it's Earth-2 Barry's father. But from the phone call, we know his mother and father are still together. So how could he be the man in the mask? Did Barry's parents separate, and he's got a step-father now, which is the person Barry's mother went to Atlantis with? And after the divorce, Henry Allen decided to go by Jay Garrick?
But you know, the latter scenario doesn't seem all that farfetched, because I re-viewed that scene, and Dad is on Barry's phone twice. There's a Speed Dial for Dad, and then Mom & Dad.

anyone else kinda annoyed that no one on the flash acknowledged that a nuke had gone off in a small town on Arrow. I get arrow is kinda crap now but they are connected and a nuke isn't something that should be ignored.
I always assume these characters can have conversations off panel. Not every second of their lives needs to be on screen. They didn't show them finding out about Laurel's death, for example, just acknowledging that they already knew. On top of that, I don't know how the timeline is right now and whether the events of Arrow and Flash are happening simultaneously.
Interesting but... If true it goes to my contention from the start that this version of Iris has been handled terribly from top to bottom from the giddyup. Casting and writing are not great, they aren't even good.
I'm listening to the Quiver podcast, and they were talking a bit about The Flash, questioning why Patty left so suddenly, and one of the theories they came up with on the spot is that they noticed that people liked her way more than they do Iris, and they might've recognized that they were having another Felicity incident, so they wrote her off to preserve the Iris/Barry romance while they still could.

Jesse will be Jesse Quick... no reason to think otherwise.
Speaking personally, I like Iris way better than I ever did Patty. Patty was fine, but not terrific. It felt like a repeat of "Joe's kid dates his partner" to me, and while she and Barry had chemistry I never really felt their romance. I was hardly disappointed when she left. While this theory may be correct, I don't get it myself because I don't get all the hate Iris gets. If anything, I feel bad that she never gets to do anything (something I think the writers really remedied these past few episodes). I don't find anything wrong with her actress or with the part she plays, and I really don't understand what exactly anyone's problem with her is.
Remember that E2 Barry and Iris are married, logic would dictate they live together so the single "dad" on thier home phone would just be E2 Joe West. A read erring

Since it's happening in the comics now.
[BLACKOUT]I wonder if the show will ever reach the point, where they introduce the proper Wally West. The show is certainly crazy and comic booky enough for it.[/BLACKOUT]
