You know, another thing that I really hope they ditch this year is the whole plot point where there's some kind of twist or secret reveal for the identity of the main villain.

You know how the show loves to repeat things.

Oh man. With set photos of Wally in the Flash suit, I think it would be amazing for them to adapt "The Return of Barry Allen". That way they can still have Grant in the episodes for a few, and then have a surprise twist that it's not Barry a few episodes in, and show him still trapped in the speed force.

One of my favorite Flash stories, though it'd feel a little redundant to see Grant play
Thawne so soon after playing Savitar, I'd love to see them adapt it, but I'd want it to be in a later season, and only if Lonsdale really grows as an actor and fans start to really like Wally enough for him to take over as the lead, the whole point of that story was accepting Barry's death and Wally finally coming into his own as the Flash,

It's nice to see they're following the comic path of Wally being the new Flash. I think the premiere title Flash Reborn may refer to Wally being the new Flash instead of Barry Allen returning from the Speed Force.

I have a pretty good idea why they're doing this and it's likely to do with the Justice League movie, where we have Ezra Miller playing Barry Allen Flash. There could only be one live-action Barry Allen Flash at a time.

I too hope they adopt the comics storyline Return of Barry Allen. I was hoping for the Crisis moment where Wally wears Barry's Flash costume for the first time in front of Flash Jay Garrick.

Ehhhhhhhh I doubt this will be anything permanent.
I'm sure Barry will be back and in the suit within an episode or two :funny:

Yeah, Barry will be back before long Grant is still the lead actor, that's why I don't want them to adapt Return of Barry Allen yet, the story loses a lot of its punch if Barry actually comes back shortly afterwords. I think it would be a perfect story for the show's final season to be honest

Here's to hoping that when Barry comes back he starts rocking that sweet Future Flash costume.

That trope annoyed me especially with Barritar.

Not really a reveal this year because he said who he was. When they asked who he was in the first half of the season he said " I am the future Flash". It was so obvious and most people wanted it to be more complicated than it was.

Unsurprisingly [BLACKOUT]he fills out the suit better than grant, although if he ever were to permanently become the Flash I'd hope they redo the suit a little (it already desperately needs to be revamped as is) as it looks odd on Keiynan.[/BLACKOUT]

I don't want him to go public with his identity as Flash.

I didn't want something more complicated than what we already have.

Savitar should've just been Savitar, his real identity didn't need to be important. Fortunately they've already heard the Thinker's real name, so I doubt they'll try to keep it a mystery.

I think he looks better in the suit than Barry does, honestly.

I agree, largely because he actually has the muscles to fill out the suit. However the suit itself still looks odd on him and just isn't that well designed and has been due for a redesign for a while now.

Ralph Dibny needs his Sue. Hope they don't forget her.

I just hope that when Barry makes his return that they allow him to wear his future suit. If they still have him wearing the same suit, despite having a perfectly updated one in their storage, then that would be yet another stupid thing that this show has done.

Yeah I hope they don't waste the upgraded suit. That's money gone down the drain.

I'm not crazy about Keiynan replacing Grant as the main flash no matter what suit he wears. Grant can't be replaced.
