This is a bigger issue then iris, the writers are the main issue the past 2 seasons. Sure iris has given fans here and social media more then enough to pull there hair out lately but the writing has completely pushed barry to the side on his own show to boot. Im here to see the flash take on the big bad like season 1 and experience the world through him, not his team and there side drama. Also why the heck is tom cavanuagh barely on this season.

Probably the closest we'll get to an all Speedster episode.

Why is Barry so bad at convincing people with his words? He just shows his face revealing his identity when he fails to convince people to help him as the Flash.

You're talking about a guy who needs CONSTANT reassurance. He could convince people himself, he wouldn't need a round the clock pep club.

This ep should be freaking amazing, but won't be surprised if it's another switch-and-bait fail.

That's why anyone not named Flash needs to go or recur.

But yeah, I blame most of that on the fact that Ralph is getting so much attention from the writers (this show really needs to stop with the constant pep talks), and the fact that DeVoe so far has been a pretty lackluster villain and is suffering some of the same issues Zoom did.
I get the impression you wont need to worry about Ralph come Season 5.

We had Ronnie/Martin and Firestorm for Season 1 - the Guest.
We had Fake Jay for Season 2 - the Guest.
Season 3 we got Julian - the Guest.
And Season 4, we've got Ralph. I figure, another Guest.

Ralph will most likely sacrifice himself when fighting DeVoe and die a true hero. Season 5 will then have another Guest character.

Cut to 10 minutes of actual action. Sidelining Caitlin for no reason even though she is very useful on the field. Just hope there isn't much soap opera Westallen garbage blocking my view. All I'm here for is Jay, Jessie and memorable scenes. The episode looks intense, we'll see.

Just move him to Legends like all the other side characters. Makes him easy to avoid at least for me.

Elongated Man is a pretty well established Flash supporting character. I could see him sticking around.

He needs to meet Sue and have a happy ending.

I was thinking Ralph is needed because since his body is elastic it can essentially always repair itself. Devoe would have a permanent body to live in. So absorb all the metas from the bus, then Ralph last to have a essentially immortality. Has this been mentioned? Didn't read previous post's first, sorry

i am not sure his 'strechyness' gives him rapid healing (like a speedster has)..

I know they didn’t want another speedster as the main villain, and rightfully so, but man DeVoe is boring. They should break up the seasons into mini-arcs. And no more Wally being a complete Whiney Whinerson.

DeVoe started out so good but he is just as boring as Savitar was now.

I agree...these villain stories should be only part of the season. In a sense the way Arrow did this year with Cayden and Richard Dragon...Cayden was the big bad in the first half and now it looks to be Richard Dragon in the second part.

Probably to do with them ousting Neil as his original form. Savitar was amusing for the most point since we got to see Grant play around with being a villain.

I started my first rewatch of The Flash since I've only really seen majority of them in their first run. Season 1 is definitely such a great season and makes it sad to see what Iris has been reduced to. Ignoring her career was such a bad move for this show. Not having her out in the field investigating the Meta's of the week and helping forge Barrys legacy in the history books, come on now!

Still hate that Cisco creates everything in this universe. Him creating the Cold/Fire guns brought good drama but just made me roll my eyes.
Of course everyone looks so young! And seeing Felicity in her first crossover felt so weird! But speaking of looks, I definitely loved her entire look for The Flash.

Around to the the very first Arrow/Flash Crossover in my rewatch! I totally forgot that secret identities were still a thing back then! Team Flash has no knowledge thus far that Oliver is the Arrow. So refreshing. Barry has his "red kryptonite" moment here, standard episode where the good guy/girl goes bad.

I wonder if Iris still runs her Flash blog....probably not since no bad guys target her for it anymore. Shame. She got help solve mysteries and help Flash in a different sort of way.

Almost done with Flash S1....Laurels first crossover..such a refreshing scene. She was so happy, upbeat something that severely lacked on Arrow (and the series in general). Cisco fanboying over her was cute. Shame we never got to see her interact or work with the team more.

One of the strong suits of S1 was that they didn't try to pull one over on the audience. We knew that "Wells" was shady since like the first or second episode and found out that he was the RF before everyone on the show was but we got to see them figure it out. Yet somehow it became a habit of keeping the audience in the dark for majority of the season and us finding things out as the characters found things out, and even though RF was the big bad of S1 he didn't interact with the team that much outside of being Wells. We also get our first appearance of Cecile!

Quentin and Joe working together was fun as hell. Loved seeing the two bounce off of each other and Quentin still had an authority about him. These types of crossovers we definitely need more outside of Oliver/Felicity/Barry being the main ones to go back and forth between the two shows.

I'm fine with not seeing Arrow characters on Flash again. Supergirl, yeah, I'm interested. I don't care about the Arrow characters and thought they were a mark against the recent crossover.

Some of the crossovers were cool. But the 'zero earth' or what ever it was, imo was the worst of them

Too true. Savatar had a purpose.. To get freed.

BUT what's Devoe's purpose? What is his end game?
The enlightenment. It might be interesting, but I'm not sure. So far, we seem to still be in what I call step 2 of Devoe's plan: Get bus metas.
